Arrests under President Donald Trump’s federal crime crackdown in Washington, D.C., have blown past 1,000 as the nation’s capital marked its 12th consecutive day without a homicide, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced Monday.

- But over the past generation or so, that hypothetical city council was likely as not to have had the discussion about fixing the pothole derailed by an abstruse debate about the "root causes" of the potholes; global warming, people switching to SUVs, or the need for mass transit to get people to the businesses served by the road...
