Wonder why libs assure us "crime is falling"??!!-----Suspended DC police commander accused of changing crime statistics

FacebookCharlie Kirk
Here's an important story ...
When President Trump floated the idea of seizing federal control over Washington D.C. to stop crime, the press raced to point out that "crime is falling."
Residents report otherwise, but the STATS and the SCIENCE suggest that the city is safer than it's been in years!...

IT’S (D)IFFERENT: NBC’s Kristen Welker Lets JB Pritzker Pontificate on Texas Redistricting, Unchallenged.

Yes, Kristen Welker asked a Democrat a facially uncomfortable question. Quick, give her a Pulitzer! What is most notable from this exchange is that which is missing therein. In order to find that, we are compelled to examine the (D)ifference between this question and similar questions asked of Republicans... -

It gets even better. The Deep State crowd claims Patel and Bongino "don't meet the basic standards" to run the FBI, conveniently forgetting that Kash Patel is the same national security bulldog who dismantled the Russia collusion hoax from inside the Trump administration, and Bongino is a decorated Secret Service agent who's spent decades protecting U.S. presidents.

Report: CIA Officials Attempted to Redact Declassification of Russia Files

Gabbard highlighted five key findings in the report, including that former CIA Director John Brennan and others allegedly “fabricated the Russia Hoax, suppressed intelligence showing Putin was preparing for a Clinton victory, manufactured findings from shoddy sources, disobeyed IC standards, and knowingly lied to the American people.”

Well, This Ought to Make Heads Explode All Across D.C. - Stephen Green

There probably isn't a bright red line or some official metric a city must measure up to — down to? — before being rated as Officially Ungovernable.
But, if there is, surely Washington, D.C., crossed soon after the Martyrdom of St. George Floyd of Minneapolis.
  • "This is a safe city, but overhearing and witnessing gang threats and then watching the camera footage of the thuggery is disturbing," one D.C. resident told the Washington Post on Sunday.
  • But — and I'm not making this up, so I'll quote WaPo reporters Olivia George, John D. Harden, and Jenny Gathright precisely — the resident who told them the city was safe was "speaking on the condition of anonymity over concerns of personal safety."
The mostly peaceful gang members tend toward violence when they hear you say they might not always be peaceful, I suppose...

  • That’s roughly 38% of the state — and you 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 they aren’t counting California’s illegals.
  • Gavin Newsom now has almost 𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐟 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 on Medi-Cal.
And here’s the kicker…
“Millions of Californians are at risk of losing their Medi-Cal coverage because of new rules from the Trump administration...

JONATHAN TURLEY - Up the Creek: Media Outlets Criticized for False Story on Vance

In this case, Vice President JD Vance was criticized for ordering the raising of the river near his Ohio home to improve his family’s canoeing experience.
First appearing in The Guardian, the story took off in the media and was featured on shows like The Colbert Show when Stephen Colbert mocked “insane spoiled baby emperor move.”
  • The problem is that it was entirely untrue.
  • The Secret Service raised the river for security reasons with no contact with the Vice President or his family.
The hit piece was curious because The Guardian admitted that it could not confirm the allegation. Nevertheless, it breathlessly reported on “Canoe-Gate”...“The Guardian could not independently confirm this specific claim.”
Hmmm, that “specific claim” is the entire story.
USSS spokesman Anthony Guglielmi explained that the USSS conducted a trip to the Ohio area ahead of the vice president’s trip, and one of their vessels actually ran aground. That is why the USSS asked for the increase: “It’s very normal, it’s very routine.” He said that the decision was made without input or involvement from the vice president’s office...

A History Of American Recessions | ZeroHedge

The official designation of a recession comes from a committee at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), a private, nonprofit research organization. - Tyler Durden
The committee considers a wide range of economy-wide, monthly data points, but the NBER views GDP as “the single best measure.”
The committee calls a recession once there is a significant decline across these measures for more than a few months.
Using this measure, here's a few insights:
  • From 1855 to 2020, recessions lasted an average of 17 months.
  • In the 20th and 21st centuries, the average recession has decreased to 14 months....

Canada and the 20th Theorem of Government | International Liberty

Canada and the 20th Theorem of Government | International Liberty -  Dan Mitchell
I’ll eliminate all suspense by stating that the numbers are not good...
  • But the second part of the 20th Theorem states that “Whenever there is fiscal deterioration, excess spending growth is the cause.” So Canada definitely qualifies.
  • Moreover, bad fiscal policy over a decade adds up. Government is now consuming 44.24 percent of GDP compared to 38.37 percent of economic output in 2014.
Do the same thing for the next 10 years and Canada will be like France or Italy.
In an article for the Daily Economy, John Phelan shared some depressing charts, including this comparison of per-capita GDP growth in G-7 nations.
Why has Canada done poorly?...

Trump to host news conference to 'stop violent crime' and make DC 'one of the safest' cities in the world

The White House is expected to hold a news conference Monday to unveil further plans to “stop violent crime” in Washington, DC, after federal agents began rounding up drug-pushers, illegal handguns and culprits as part of a multi-agency crackdown. - Josh Christenson
“It has become one of the most dangerous cities anywhere in the World. It will soon be one of the safest!!!” Trump posted on his Truth Social
  • That’s six times higher than New York City’s rate that year, which reached 4.7 homicides per 100,000 residents — and four times higher than the 7.2 homicides per 100,000 people at the same per capita rate in Los Angeles.
  • It’s also more than double Newark’s rate of 12.2 murders per 100,000 people in 2024.
  • On Friday, a White House spokesman pointed to statistics showing how DC’s homicide rate also outranks foreign cities per 100,000 people — including Mexico City’s rate of 14; Port of Spain’s rate of 11.5; Bogota, Colombia’s rate of 10.4 and Islamabad, Pakistan’s rate of 9.2...
