Sen. Rand Paul’s Joke at Texas GOP Convention Is Not Going Over Well With the Left: ‘Mr. President…’ | TheBlaze.com:

The Most Startling Chart of the Obama Era

Doug Ross @ Journal: The Most Startling Chart of the Obama Era:
The Most Startling Chart of the Obama Era
I happened to look at the official government statistics for the
Labor Force Participation Rate. This is the percentage of adults 16 and over that are in the workforce.

I noticed something that I haven't heard others point out.

Take a look at the rate and walk down each column (each month) since
January of 2009 when SCOAMF was first inaugurated.

Did you notice it?

Adjusted for seasonality, the labor force participation
rate (LFR) has never increased -- not once -- under Obama!
Normalized by month, the LFR has been on a non-stop ride to
progressive Utopia (i.e., full unemployment).

This is a stunning repudiation of the Obama economic agenda. Stunning.

Mind you, this is the Obama administration's own set of statistics.
Having confirmed that the White House routinely publishes
fake economic statistics (e.g., "Census ‘faked’ 2012 election jobs report"),
the true data may be even worse.

And what is this, the fourth or fifth annual Summer of Recovery©®™?

Author Brad Thor Says This Is the ‘Biggest Question’ Not Being Asked About the Bergdahl Exchange | TheBlaze.com

Author Brad Thor Says This Is the ‘Biggest Question’ Not Being Asked About the Bergdahl Exchange | TheBlaze.com:
"Number one bestselling author Brad Thor appeared on TheBlaze TV’s Dana Friday to discuss what he believes is the “biggest question” the mainstream media is not asking about the recent trade of five senior Taliban leaders from the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay in exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was held captive by militants in Afghanistan and Pakistan for nearly five years."

Anonymous Cowards @NYTimes Launch Sneak Attack Against #Bergdahl Vets

Anonymous Cowards @NYTimes Launch Sneak Attack Against #Bergdahl Vets | Progressives Today: "New York Times writers have abandoned, or deserted, their byline in order to launch an assault against the brave American soldiers.
The soldiers in question dared to voice their anger at the Left’s characterization of Bowe Bergdahl as anything other than a traitor at best who deserted his post and caused many American deaths.

In an effort to teach people about how to treat troops like Bergdahl with decency and respect, the New York Times launched an anonymous smear against Bergdahl’s fellow troops as partisan liars who’re just interested in hurting Commander-in-Chief, Barack Obama.
This duck-and-cover response is the result of the outrageous demonization of Bergdahl in the absence of actual facts. Republican operatives have arranged for soldiers in his unit to tell reporters that he was a deserter who cost the lives of several soldiers searching for him. In fact, a review of casualty reports by Charlie Savage and Andrew Lehren of The New York Times showed there is no clear link between any military deaths and the search. [more…]
No wonder the New York Times writers defected from their bylines. No self respecting writer could possibly attach their name to such hatred and expect to work outside of the progressive Journo-list bubble ever again.
Instead, it was simply credited to the entire NYT Editorial Board.
Let’s politely reach out to these members of the NYT Editorial Board and ask them if they’re brave enough to take ownership of this attack on our troops who DID NOT abandon their posts, leading to the death and dismemberment of their fellow Americans.

After the "grand bargain". Spendin' like trailer trash who just won the lottery----A look at the 6 options for rebuilding the I-375 expressway in Detroit

A look at the 6 options for rebuilding the I-375 expressway in Detroit | Detroit Free Press | freep.com: "Beginning today, the public gets its first look at six options for rebuilding the I-375 expressway in Detroit — a once-in-50-years opportunity to redefine a key entry to the heart of downtown and east riverfront.
The options range from rebuilding it as it is now to replacing it with surface streets with several visions in between that mix and match elements.
The prices range from $40 million to $80 million.
The choice is crucial because the I-375 debate touches so many aspects of downtown’s redevelopment — from access to the east riverfront and major downtown sporting and cultural events to parking for the growing number of downtown workers.
Whatever option is chosen is bound to produce controversy.
Many downtown employers and suburban commuters want to keep their high-speed freeway access into downtown, but city planners and environmentalists may prefer to lessen the city’s dependence on motor vehicles by emphasizing public transit and fewer freeways."

Krauthammer: Bergdahl Still In Hospital Suggests 'Witness Tampering' By Obama Officials

Krauthammer: Bergdahl Still In Hospital Suggests 'Witness Tampering' By Obama Officials | RedFlagNews.com:
"The question I have is, what's going on in the hospital where he is in Germany?
They obviously want to to give him some privacy.
We are getting infinitely less information of out of our own government about his actual health condition, which is the issue they're it leaning on, than we are getting from the Taliban, which is rather interesting from an administration who prides itself on being open and honest and transparent it is.
If it goes on any longer, I think we have to imagine perhaps there might be some witness tampering happening."

More Startling Information Revealed About The VA Scandal…This Is Worse Than We Thought:
"According to Acting Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary Sloan Gibson, the number of veterans who potentially died as a result of long delays at VA facilities in Phoenix is more than twice as many as reported last month.
Of the approximately 1,700 veterans VA Inspector General Richard Griffin reported were in danger of being “lost or forgotten” within the department’s bureaucracy and systematic delays, 17 were said to have died as a result. Gibson recently appeared in Phoenix – the epicenter of the VA scandal – for the first time in his current capacity, where he announced another 18 veterans died after their names were scrubbed from waiting list records."

Are heavy trucks getting a free pass in road funding debate?

Are heavy trucks getting a free pass in road funding debate? | Detroit Free Press | freep.com:
The House action followed a Free Press report in August that documented how Michigan routinely issues permits to trucks that far exceed Michigan’s already highest-in-the-nation gross weight limit of 164,000 pounds — but charges only $50 for each permit.
That’s far less than what neighboring states charge for overweight permits.
The Free Press also reported that Michigan’s fines for overweight trucks haven’t gone up since 1988.
....“Those that put the most stress on the roads have to pay their fair share,” Lane said. Doubling the overweight permits fees may sound like a big step, she said, but not when the overweight truck might weigh 1 million pounds or more and the permit fee is only going from $50 to $100.

Pot for Pets: Companies Make Hemp-Laced Meds for Fidos

Pot for Pets: Companies Make Hemp-Laced Meds for Fidos - NBC News.com:
Marijuana is going to the dogs, but it's not your parents' Woodstock weed.
Georgia, a 5-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, is a medical marijuana patient. Kelly Conway, Georgia's owner, takes some heat when she tells friends about the unorthodox treatment.
"People will say they can't believe I'm letting her get high, but she's not getting high," Conway said.
No, Georgia is not ingesting the same kind of pot that Snoop Dogg smokes. (Or New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd eats.) Georgia, along with a growing number of pets, eats hemp-based capsules that contain only trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol — or THC — the psychoactive ingredient that provides the cannabis high.

An airport parking service, Masterpark, “is charging customers an additional 99 cents per parking day,” reported Northwest Watchdog.

Near SeaTac, Seattle also is hiking its minimum wage.

On Monday, the city council voted unanimously to raise the minimum wage over several years until it reaches $15 an hour.

In an Associated Press interview afterward, City Council member Kshama Sawant, a self-described socialist, noted that “$15 in Seattle is just the beginning.”"

Obama: ‘Absolutely No Apologies’ for Bergdahl Prisoner Swap | TheBlaze.com:
"While making no reference to accusations that Bergdahl was a deserter, the president said, “we don’t condition whether or not we make the effort to try to get them back.”
Obama last year signed the National Defense Authorization Act, which requires the president to give Congress 30 days’ notice before releasing terror detainee from Guantanamo Bay. That didn’t happen with the Bergdahl swap, which the White House termed an “oversight.”

He told us what he was going to do.

Nancy Pelosi: Obama Is The Most Non-Partisan President Ever | The Federalist Papers:
Nancy Pelosi either consumes very powerful mind altering drugs on a daily basis, or she deliberately lies…
Via the Washington Times:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday that President Obama is the least partisan president she has worked with during her extensive time in Washington, and said the problem lies with the GOP.
“This is as non-partisan a president as I’ve ever served with,” the California Democrat said at her weekly press briefing.
She was asked whether she believes Mr. Obama would be able to work with Republicans if they were able to take control of the Senate and hold the House this November.
She said when Democrats held both chambers under President George W. Bush in 2007-2008 she and her troops were able to work with him on everything from the Wall Street bailout to immigration to energy.
