5 Faith Facts Every Christian Voter Should Know About Ted Cruz — Charisma News

5 Faith Facts Every Christian Voter Should Know About Ted Cruz — Charisma News:

"Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who tipped off an avalanche of 2016 GOP presidential candidates when he declared his run in March, ties every move he makes, every breath he takes, to God.

It's been that way all his 44 years — from his childhood in evangelical private schools, up through his 2012 Senate race aimed squarely at social conservatives, up to his campaign kickoff at Jerry Falwell-founded Liberty University. Here are five faith facts about Cruz:"

Notable & Quotable: John Kerry - WSJ:
‘I also want to thank the Iranian authorities for their cooperation and quick response.’
From remarks delivered by Secretary of State John Kerry at National Defense University in Washington, D.C., Jan. 13:
"I want to underscore how pleased I am that our sailors were safely returned into the United States’ hands this morning.
As a former sailor myself . . . I know as well as anybody how important our naval presence is around the world, and certainly in the Gulf region.
And I could not be, and I know the president could not be, prouder of our men and women in uniform.
I also want to thank the Iranian authorities for their cooperation and quick response.
These are always situations, which as everybody here knows, have an ability, if not properly guided, to get out of control.
And I’m appreciative for the quick and appropriate response of the Iranian authorities.
All indications suggest, or tell us, that our sailors were well taken care of, provided with blankets and food, and assisted with their return to the fleet earlier today.
And I think we can all imagine how a similar situation might have played out three or four years ago. And in fact it is clear that today this kind of issue was able to be peacefully resolved and officially resolved, and that is a testament to the critical role that diplomacy plays in keeping our country safe, secure and strong."

Christian Monastery in Jerusalem Defaced with Anti-Christian Graffiti | TheBlaze.com:

"Anti-Christian graffiti was found scrawled Sunday morning on the walls of Jerusalem’s Dormition Abbey, a Benedictine monastery on Mt. Zion.

Photos posted by the Assembly of Catholic Bishops showed the Hebrew graffiti which read, “Christians to hell,” and “Death to the heretic Christians, enemies of Israel.”

Other slogans read: “The revenge of the people of Israel is yet to come” accompanied by a scribbled sword, Star of David and “idols will be extirpated,” a reference to a Jewish prayer."

Mega-liberal Nicholas Kristof?!!-----Some Inconvenient Gun Facts for Liberals

Some Inconvenient Gun Facts for Liberals - The New York Times:
"FOR those of us who argue in favor of gun safety laws, there are a few inconvenient facts.
We liberals are sometimes glib about equating guns and danger.
In fact, it’s complicated:
The number of guns in America has increased by more than 50 percent since 1993, and in that same period the gun homicide rate in the United States has dropped by half.
Then there are the policies that liberals fought for, starting with the assault weapons ban.
A 113-page study found no clear indication that it reduced shooting deaths for the 10 years it was in effect.
That’s because the ban was poorly drafted, and because even before the ban, assault weapons accounted for only 2 percent of guns used in crimes.
Move on to open-carry and conceal-carry laws:
With some 13 million Americans now licensed to pack a concealed gun, many liberals expected gun battles to be erupting all around us.
In fact, the most rigorous analysis suggests that all these gun permits caused neither a drop in crime (as conservatives had predicted) nor a spike in killings (as liberals had expected).
Liberals were closer to the truth, for the increase in carrying loaded guns does appear to have led to more aggravated assaults with guns, but the fears were overblown..."

Air Force to consider dropping ‘man’ from ‘airman’

Air Force to consider dropping ‘man’ from ‘airman’ | BizPac Review
The Air Force said it will conduct a review to determine whether the use of “airman” is appropriate given the military’s push towards full gender equality.
An Air Force spokeswoman told Air Force Times the service is “dedicated to a culture of inclusiveness which enables all airmen to make their greatest contributions to mission success.
“While a review of job titles is not currently underway, we continually review all aspects of our programs and a review of job titles will be included as we proceed with the full integration of women into all Air Force occupational specialties.”
This confirms that a review of job titles, like the one initiated by Navy Secretary Ray Mabus, is soon coming. Mabus’ review resulted in an order to the Marine Corps to purge the word “man” from job titles, with the exception that compound words can remain the same.
In other words, “infantryman” is acceptable, but “reconnaissance man” is not.
That order came as part of the broader initiative to open all combat roles to women.
There are six male-only jobs in the Air Force, but that number will soon drop to zero April 1.

El Chapo's Son Just Sent A TERRIFYING Threat: 'We Put You In The Presidency, We...':

And now that El Chapo has been captured yet again, his son has issued chilling threats to officials in Mexico."

Anyone think Dr. would be a democrat today? Not!------MLK on the Purpose of Education: 8 Quotes

MLK on the Purpose of Education: 8 Quotes | Intellectual Takeout:
January 15th marks the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the great leader of the American Civil Rights Movement.
As the quotes below illustrate, Dr. King promoted a traditional understanding of education in which students learn to think for themselves while simultaneously developing in virtue.
Are today’s schools failing to give students the kind of education that Dr. King promoted?
  1. “Education must enable a man to become more efficient, to achieve with increasing facility the legitimate goals of his life.”

  2. “To save man from the morass of propaganda, in my opinion, is one of the chief aims of education.”

  3. “A great majority of the so-called educated people do not think logically and scientifically. Even the press, the classroom, the platform, and the pulpit in many instances do not give us objective and unbiased truths.”

  4. “Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction.”

  5. “The function of education, therefore, is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically.”

  6. “The complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate.”
  1. “[E]ducation which stops with efficiency may prove the greatest menace to society. The most dangerous criminal may be the man gifted with reason, but with no morals.”

  2. “Intelligence plus character--that is the goal of true education.”

Cherry on Top: Iran to Get $1.7 Billion Settlement from U.S. in Addition to Sanctions Relief

Cherry on Top: Iran to Get $1.7 Billion Settlement from U.S. in Addition to Sanctions Relief | PJ Media:
President Obama today declared at the White House that "Iran will not get its hands on a nuclear bomb" and that their "tireless" negotiations paid off with several American hostages coming home.
..."So, nuclear deal implemented. American families reunited.
The third piece of this work that we got done this weekend involved the United States and Iran resolving a financial dispute that dated back more than three decades.
Since 1981, after our nations severed diplomatic relations, we’ve worked through a international tribunal to resolve various claims between our countries.
The United States and Iran are now settling a longstanding Iranian government claim against the United States government.
Iran will be returned its own funds, including appropriate interest, but much less than the amount Iran sought," Obama said.
That payout to Iran from the United States?
$1.7 billion.
Secretary of State John Kerry said today that the settlement is $400 million debt and $1.3 billion in interest dating back to the Islamic revolution.
That's separate from the sanctions windfall Iran will receive..."

Must read!--Bumped from June 2015 since "Dateline" just aired the story----Must read!-----Whistle-blower: How doctor uncovered nightmare

Very brave doctor vs very evil doctor!
Whistle-blower: How doctor uncovered nightmare:
"...But it was Flagg's stumble over a suitcase, and Soe Maunglay's determined follow-through over the next weeks, that precipitated Fata's own fall.
Making Fata's rounds that July day, Maunglay checked for the first time on Flagg, hospitalized with two fractures in her left leg.
Because Maunglay is a cancer doctor, he paid heed to her multiple myeloma diagnosis, the Velcade injection, and the medical record before him.
It all triggered an internal alarm...
"Who told you that you have cancer?" he asked her."

...As a cancer specialist, he had a special understanding of the horror he was witnessing, its cruelty. Fata's choice of myeloma, a cancer of the plasma cells in bone marrow, bespoke a certain shrewdness, because of the subjectivity of diagnosis.
It was a clever niche for false doctoring.
"You cannot fake lung cancer," he says. "You cannot fake a tumor ..."
But with this disease, a malevolent doctor could plausibly use the treatment itself as a smokescreen to obscure future questions....

Swedish Police Instructed to Withhold From Public Suspects’ Skin Color and Ethnicity to Avoid Being Labeled Racist | TheBlaze.com:

The letter, circulated internally among police in the capital of Stockholm in September, came to light last week in a report by the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet."

Obama Wants $4 Billion to Subsidize Silicon Valley Driverless Cars - Breitbart:
In the Obama Administration’s latest welfare for Silicon Valley billionaires, the President intends to ask Congress for $4 billion in federal subsidies and nationalization of transportation safety regulations in an effort to speed the deployment of driverless cars.
US Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx, surrounded by about a dozen auto and Silicon Valley tech leaders, announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit that the U.S. Department of Transportation Agency intends to remove “potential roadblocks to the integration of innovative, transformational automotive technology that can significantly improve safety, mobility, and sustainability.”
These code words mean driverless regulatory design is being turned over to Silicon Valley..."

Our "rich cultural stew" got some turds in it-----Fewer Children Today are Playing the Piano

Fewer Children Today are Playing the Piano | Intellectual Takeout:
The AP reported back in January that piano sales in the U.S. have dramatically declined.
According to the story, in 1909, more than 364,500 new pianos were sold in the U.S. Now, only between 30,000 and 40,000 are sold annually.
What are the reasons behind the decline?
In part, it's because modern piano restoration is so effective.
But it's also because there are simply fewer children today who wish to learn to play the piano or any musical instrument for that matter.
Boston piano technician Larry Fine believes the decline in children who play piano is due to a cultural shift:
"Computer technology has just changed everything about what kids are interested in.
People are interested in things that don't take much effort, so the idea of sitting and playing an hour a day to learn piano is not what kids want to do."
...So who are the people still buying pianos?
According to piano tuner Stephen Scharbrough, “It’s the family that places priority on self-discipline, and has a respect for arts and music...”

See it!-Bring your friends!-----Film Review: 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

Film Review: 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi « Hot Air
"...Until this weekend, the story of the 2012 attack on our consulate in Benghazi has been almost exclusively in the hands of the Obama Administration (and the media, but I repeat myself), who have spun a yarn about faulty intelligence leading them to believe a Youtube video caused a spontaneous protest that turned violent and could not have been prevented or mitigated.
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi now puts that story in the hands of Michael Bay.
...Much to my surprise, Bay has instead delivered a poignant and harrowing view of the events of September 11, 2012 from the perspective of the people who were there in Benghazi as it unfolded.
In fact, 13 Hours is so well constructed that had it not been for some of the usual shots and frenetic editing that distinctly mark the film as one of Bay’s, I would believe he let someone else direct it for him.
...We are shown a woefully unfortified consulate whose defense is left almost entirely in the hands of unreliable Libyan allies.
It is not overrun by a protest that got out of hand, and there is pointed dialog noting that fact later in the movie.
Rather it is attacked by Islamic militants who spend days casing both it and the CIA annex before they execute a series of clearly coordinated and planned assaults.
And more infuriating than anything else, we watch as calls for backup continue to go unheeded for hours, with fighter jets sitting unmanned on the tarmac as the Americans desperately fight to repel waves of well armed terrorists.
Even our heroes are explicitly and repeatedly told to “stand down” despite the frantic pleas from the Consulate that “if you don’t come, we’re going to f*cking die!”
...So believe it or not, Michael Bay did it.
He not only created a movie with the potential to change how people view the events of that night in Benghazi, but one that’s a legitimately good film in its own right.
So 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi is a 5 on Ed Morrissey’s HotAir scale:
5 – Full price ticket
4 – Matinee only
3 – Wait for Blu-Ray/DVD/PPV rental or purchase
2 – Watch it when it hits Netflix/cable
1 – Avoid at all costs
It’s a powerful and compelling look at an important moment in recent history that’s absolutely worth a couple hours in a theater to know more about the unquestionable heroism displayed by men who were trapped in a hellish situation that was not only foreseeable, but entirely preventable..."

Obama Signs Executive Orders Lifting Economic Sanctions on Iran | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"For Iran, the move lifts Western economic sanctions that have been in place for years, unlocking access to $100 billion in frozen assets and unleashing new opportunities for its battered economy.

“The multinational economic and financial sanctions related to Iran’s nuclear program are lifted,” Federica Mogherini, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, said in a joint statement also read in Farsi by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Jawad Zarif.

President Barack Obama signed executive orders lifting economic sanctions on Iran and Mogherini said the EU had lifted its nuclear-related sanctions as well."

Hell yes!! Call your congressman!!-----Should Female WWII Pilots Have A Place At Arlington Cemetery?

Should Female WWII Pilots Have A Place At Arlington Cemetery? - Faith Family America
A group of approximately 1,000 female pilots, known as Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASPs), served during World War II under the command of the United States Army Air Forces.
They flew noncombat missions so that male pilots could fly more in combat, they test-flew aircraft, and they helped train combat pilots during live ammo sessions.
But now, according to Fox News, a decision to allow their ashes to be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia back in 2002 has recently been reversed.
The Army, which runs the cemetery and is tightening restrictions on who is allowed in the cemetery over space concerns, has determined that WASPs should be included with "active duty designees" like Merchant Marines, who are no longer ineligible.
Deceased WASP Elaine Harmon's family says the space needed is minimal, and space concerns are not as great as they used to be since most WWII veterans have already passed on.
Texas Woman's University history professor Kate Landdeck has strong words for the Army's decision:
"[WASPs] are a distinct group of women with the surviving 100-or-so women all in their 90s.
It is just mean-spirited for the Secretary of the Army to question their value to their country. Again."
What do you think?"

Chobani Yogurt founder promoting refugee resettlement for big business – American Resistance 2016!
One of my major objectives for American Resistance 2016! is to tell you who is working to change America by changing the people.  Know the enemy!

06S_YOGHURT_CITY_GRAPHIC.1
The Steve Jobs of Yoghurt, Hamdi Ulukaya, is changing America by changing the people.http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/markets/article-2413095/Meet-Steve-Jobs-yoghurt-How-Kurdish-immigrant-billionaire-selling-Greek-yoghurt-Americans.html

One of those is Hamdi Ulukaya founder of Chobani Yogurt who will be going to Davos to the World Economic Forum this week to encourage more businesses to hire refugees (that is, to encourage more resettlement of refugees to America).
BTW, if he wants to spend his millions helping mostly Muslim refugees where they are, that is wonderful and commendable, but lobbying for more to be admitted to the US should be opposed at every turn.
See my post just now at RRW by clicking here.
As you work on Election 2016 you should be calling out those change agents by name and finding their connections to your elected officials at the local, state and national level.  Find out how much they are contributing to campaigns and how they are influencing the local Chambers of Commerce and  your local newspapers!
I can’t impress upon you enough how important it is that you get whatever you learn out to your community and make sure people are registering to vote and getting to the polls.
You MUST! start a local website, or blog, and publish what you learn.  A facebook page is o.k. but won’t reach enough people. If you have to, go door-to-door, but you MUST compete with your local media that is in most cases in the pockets of these corporations!
Don’t get bogged down in endless debates with the No Borders Left and your local progressive community organizers who want to make this all about saving the poor and downtrodden of the world!
As I said in my post at RRW just now.  Refugee resettlement is not about ‘humanitarianism!’
The do-gooders bringing refugees to America are shills for big business whether they know it or not!

It is about globalization and multi-national corporations’ need for cheap migrant laborers!

After Obama Says Economy Is Strong, Nation's Largest Private Employer Closes 269 Stores:

"During President Barack Obama’s recent State of the Union address, he proclaimed, “The United States of America, right now, has the strongest, most durable economy in the world.”

He went on to talk about the growth of private-sector jobs and the falling unemployment rate.

Unfortunately, the economy is not all roses, rainbows and unicorns, as Obama would have us believe, but is instead stagnant –at best — "
