WATCH: Award-Winning Journalist Compares Donald Trump, Republicans to Ku Klux Klan
- 'This is a literal true factual description,' says Wesley Lowery
"We have one political party that traffics in the same talking points as white supremacists, be it on immigration, be it on Muslims, be it on any number of issues, where the mainstream political rhetoric could be written by avowed racists," Lowery said Jan. 24 during a National Press Club panel on the journalistic challenges of covering extremism.
- Journalists need to be brave enough, he argued, to describe the Republican Party as a white supremacist movement without fear of being called "not objective" by critics who are also white supremacists...

"Fake but true"?-----Much of value here!-----The press versus the president, part one - Columbia Journalism Review
- “I realized early on I had two jobs,” he (Trump) said. “The first was to run the country, and the second was survival. I had to survive: the stories were unbelievably fake.”
“Holy shit, Bob Mueller is not going to do it,” is how Dean Baquet, then the executive editor of the New York Times, described the moment his paper’s readers realized Mueller was not going to pursue Trump’s ouster.
Baquet, speaking to his colleagues in a town hall meeting soon after the testimony concluded, acknowledged the Times had been caught “a little tiny bit flat-footed” by the outcome of Mueller’s investigation.
That would prove to be more than an understatement.
- But neither Baquet nor his successor, nor any of the paper’s reporters, would offer anything like a postmortem of the paper’s Trump-Russia saga, unlike the examination the Times did of its coverage before the Iraq War.
- In fact, Baquet added, “I think we covered that story better than anyone else” and had the prizes to prove it, according to a tape of the event published by Slate...
When a bully meets a wimp.-----China Threatens Repercussions for Downed Spy Balloon, Reserves ‘the Right to Take Further Actions in Response’
China insisted the flyover was an accident involving a civilian aircraft and threatened repercussions.
...China responded that it reserved the right to “take further actions” and criticized the U.S. for “an obvious overreaction and a serious violation of international practice.”
- ...“Allowing a spy balloon from the Communist Party of China to travel across the entire continental United States before contesting its presence is a disastrous projection of weakness by the White House,” said Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker, the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
- ...Uncensored reactions on the Chinese internet mirrored the official government stance that the U.S. was hyping the situation. Some used it as a chance to poke fun at U.S. defenses, saying it couldn’t even defend against a balloon, and nationalist influencers leaped to use the news to mock the U.S...
Covid-style economic reports!----------January's 'too good to be true' jobs report was based on 'adjustments' - American Thinker
"Bloomberg...is throwing shade on the January jobs report that “surprised” a lot of people with its positive numbers...Stripped of all the technical jargon is this stark reality:
On an unadjusted basis, payrolls actually fell by 2.5 million last month.
Molly Smith writes:
Employers added 517,000 jobs in January — nearly double the prior month’s advance and above all estimates in a Bloomberg survey...according to Labor Department data released Friday.
Those are the numbers that grabbed headlines and enabled Team Biden to claim credit for what they want to bamboozle the public into thinking we have a great economy.
But it turns out that there were changes in the way the data were gathered and reported that made things look rosier..
What Bloomberg Economics Says...“If it seems too good to be true, that’s because it is too good to be true — the gain is mostly due to seasonal factors and revisions to past data..

A prime example of that would be Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” which has absolutely scorched any of its closest competitors and has even notched impressive internal victories against the cable news giant’s powerhouse lineup of primetime talent.
Kicking off the new year in winning fashion, Fox News reported that “The Five” averaged an astonishing 3.4 million viewers in January, which means it has been the number one show on cable news television for the 10th consecutive month.
Never trust 'em, NEVER!-----Media manipulation before your eyes
"We all know the media are trash...
- One such hoax is the media frenzy about a questionnaire given to female athletes in Florida.
- The media and the Left have been playing it up as some horrible transphobic invasion of privacy intended to pry into the private lives of young girls to root out fakers.
There was a total freakout on Twitter when someone revealed a “secret” and new form for female athletes that asked them about their menstrual cycle. It was portrayed as a dystopian invasion of privacy intended to usher us into a new era of sharia law or something.
