Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke defends Trump tariff demands, slams Trudeau

CEO of Canada’s 2nd biggest company defends Trump’s tariff demands, slams Trudeau for not stopping trade war - Ryan King
The CEO of Canada’s second-largest publicly traded company says Canadians want their government to do all the things that President Trump is demanding — and slammed outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for not preventing the trade war.
Trump, 78, on Saturday, signed an executive order to slap 25% across-the-board tariffs on America’s northern neighbor, citing its failure to meet his demands on helping crack the fentanyl and illegal immigration trade.
  • Canada thrives when it works with America together. Win by helping America win. Trump believes that Canada has not held its side of the bargain,” Tobi Lutke, who co-founded Shopify, wrote on X.
  • “These are things that every Canadian wants its government to do, too. These are not crazy demands, even if they came from an unpopular source. These tariffs are going to be devastating to so many people’s lives and small businesses.”...

We must fix this!

What are they hiding? Female helicopter pilot's entire social media scrubbed before Army releases her name * WorldNetDaily * by Jim Hoft, The Gateway Pundit

Lobach, who had over 450 hours of flying experience, recently served as a military social aide at the Biden White House. It took the US Army and Rebecca's family three days to scrub her social media accounts. They really don't want the public to know anything about this female pilot.

We need a Manhattan Project level effort to improve our schools immediately!

It is a national scandal how many kids can't read, write, do basic math or even use analog clock to tell time. - Michael Smith
- the first step is to get rid of the Department of Education - or simply hire some project managers to plan and run the educational Manhattan Project, never touching instruction or instructional materials.
It is a national scandal how many kids can't read, write, do basic math or even use analog clock to tell time.
  • People in the so-called "education establishment" need to be held liable for the lack of performance.
  • America became an industrial and military power based on simple instruction in one-room country schoolhouses and homes - long before computers were commercially viable.
At the very least, we should go back to phonics and basic memorization drills - and insist it be done in the home as well...

How Trump's pardons fixed the wrongs of the woketopus * WorldNetDaily * by Tyler O'Neil, Real Clear Wire

Americans witnessed a massive miscarriage of justice under the Biden-Harris administration on this issue. According to the Justice Department, the FACE Act "prohibits threats of force, obstruction, and property damage intended to interfere with reproductive health care services." This applies to both abortion centers and pro-life pregnancy centers. Yet the DOJ's Civil Rights Division did not apply the FACE Act evenly. According to Catholic Vote, at least 96 pro-life pregnancy centers and pro-life groups have faced vandalism and violent attacks after the leak of the Supreme Court's opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (2022), the ruling that overturned Roe. Pro-abortion vandals spray-painted, "REVENGE," and "If abortions aren't safe, neither are you."

'Excess deaths' are surging among young adults, study finds. Experts say it's not just drug overdoses.

"External" causes like drug overdoses and homicide are killing young adults, but so are cardiometabolic diseases that previously mainly posed risks to older people - Natalie Rahhal
Americans are dying in young adulthood at alarming, and rising, rates, according to a new study published in JAMA Network Open
  • The rate of excess deaths — fatalities beyond the expected number — among people between ages 25 and 44 has nearly tripled since 1999...
  • Most excess deaths among young adults are due to what researchers call “external causes.” These include drugs, alcohol, transportation, suicide and homicide...

Fact Check: Yes, Obama and Biden Had FAA Hire People with Intellectual, Psychiatric, Severe Physical Disabilities

“More than ten years ago, the Obama Administration scrapped 1000 qualified candidates. The administration’s justification was that the pool of applicants was not diverse enough, so they would be purged from consideration. Instead of hiring candidates with the most competency, individuals were elevated for hiring consideration based on their race.

“Despite their intent to expand the air traffic control hiring pool via DEI, the FAA has recently admitted they are woefully understaffed and that current air traffic controllers are severely overworked. One report found that only 3 of the 313 air traffic facilities around the nation met the FAA targets last year. This has forced the agency to admit safety could be jeopardized. To mitigate such danger, the agency has ‘at times halted departures or otherwise slowed down air traffic.’”

Much here, read it!-----Trump’s Second Week: A Turning Point in American Governance - Clarice Feldman

In his second week of his second term in office, President Trump has asserted the right of the Chief Executive to effectively manage the Executive Branch. - Clarice Feldman
  • He has blindsided -- even gelded -- his detractors in the media and Congress, and issued an astonishing array of executive orders which reveal how tax funds have been flowing out of the Treasury to the benefit of the Deep State and its friends without regard (and often even being inimical) to the national interest.
So much has happened that I cannot cover it all, but I will try to hit briefly and in no particular order some of the most significant developments this week.
  • Gaza...
  • California...
  • The Military...
  • Freeze on Spending...

'You Took Your Black Behind Over to Africa for 20 Days' - Fed-up Councilwoman Dunks on 'Black Lives' Mayor Suspected of Abusing Funds

“Mayor, I really was going to let this go, but I can’t continue to sit here and allow you to make it seem like we’re the villains, and you’re the victim,” Willis said -  Jack Davis Video link
Among the spending that is being questioned are flights the mayor took without any of the required approvals, according to WSB-TV
  • Bank records indicate the mayor and one employee went to Paris in May.
  • He took another employee to Africa in October...
Kamau walked out when questions were raised, but not before playing the race card, according to WSB-TV.
  • I am so distressed and disappointed that the blackest city in one of the blackest states in the United States of America heading into Black History Month, we are tearing each other down,” Kobi said.
  • Councilwoman Helen Willis, who like the mayor, is black, was not intimidated. “We’re not tearing you down; you took your black behind over to Africa for 20 days and didn’t tell anybody,” she responded...

The immigration crisis isn't an accident. It's a well-oiled system, facilitated by powerful NGOs—and funded by your tax dollars.

This is arguably the single most important aspect of Trump's funding freeze.

Trump-Subverting GSA Surrenders, and You Won't Believe Some of the Insane Stuff Being Deleted

While it ostensibly exists to manage federal workspaces, it has long been run by far-left lunatics who seek to subvert any attempts at reform while pushing woke nonsense. - By Bonchie
  • During President Donald Trump's first term, the Office of Inspector General (OIG) found that employees at GSA ignored legal requirements to implement facial recognition and then lied about it, claiming it was a matter of "racial equity."
  • It also made "lived experience" a variable in hiring, meaning the agency became a haven of "trans" and "queer" people hiring each other for roles in which they had no experience.
You may be wondering what "18F" is.
It is a GSA-run tech office that "builds, buys, and shares" technology across all agencies.
Of course, their role went well beyond that simple descriptor, with 18F dictating everything from the language used to how all federal meetings were conducted so as to promote "diversity and inclusion."
That's how the country ended up with an "inclusion bot" hounding employees about using terms like "grandfathered" and "guys."
Yes, your taxpayer dollars were paying to maintain an Orwellian bot that told people how to speak...

'As predicted': Elon Musk highlights Blaze Media's shocking FAA documentary from November | Blaze Media

Back in November, BlazeTV host Stu Burguiere set out on a mission to discover why “close calls” — narrowly avoided commercial airliner collisions — surged to nearly three per week in the past year. Blaze Media released his documentary, “Countdown to the Next Aviation Disaster.”

His investigation exposed several disturbing facts about America’s Federal Aviation Administration. From the use of outdated technology to DEI hiring policies that weed out the most qualified would-be air traffic controllers, leaving towers and radar rooms severely understaffed, it was evident that disaster was on the horizon.

President orders review of FAA diversity hiring agenda, wants problems corrected * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

President orders review of FAA diversity hiring agenda, wants problems corrected * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

President Donald Trump has ordered the secretary of Transportation and the chief of the Federal Aviation Administration to review all of the DEI practices imposed on the nation's air traffic control system during the regime of Joe Biden. And to "take such corrective action as necessary to achieve uncompromised aviation safety." That would include the replacement of any employees "who do not meet qualification standards."
