"Oakland County residents had the highest per capita personal income of $55,761, followed by Leelanau County at $47,949 and Midland County at $45,423.
Those were the only counties in Michigan that exceeded the national level of $43,735, which was up 3.4 percent from 2011.
Luce County in the U.P. had the lowest at $26,036, less than half of Oakland County's figure."
