The navigators have been a key point of Republican criticism against the healthcare law’s rollout.
“This is reported, interestingly enough, that in California with the so-called navigators, the people who are the certified navigators, over 40 of them are convicted criminals,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) said on the floor this week.
“Forty convicted criminals were hired and certified, certified, to be navigators in California in spite of the fact that people are being asked to give personal information, health information, financial information, to these navigators.”"
