It's almost inevitable that the Legislature will, at long last, authorize sufficient funding to fix Michigan's farkakte roads... Right?

Despite broad popular and bipartisan support, lawmakers left Lansing this summer without passing such a package, earning widespread scorn and derision.

Earlier this month, the state Senate finally passed a bill that would double the gas tax. But will the more-conservative House do the same?
