"...Michigan is getting federal funds to fix or replace 172 inoperable electric vehicle chargers throughout the state.
Last week, the governor’s office announced the state secured $1.8 million in grant funding through the Electric Vehicle Charger Reliability and Accessibility Accelerator Program to fix EV charging infrastructure across 105 different locations.
The sites have already been selected. 
Many are in the Metro Detroit region, though there are sites spread throughout the state, including as far north as the Upper Peninsula’s Houghton County.
A spokesperson for the Michigan Infrastructure Office said the office does not track how these EV chargers are damaged because they are private assets. 
Selected sites are given 12 months to use the funds to fix or replace their chargers...
