Look at the recent Lefty 70 something white lady in Virginia. 

She held up a sign at (black republican) Winsome Sears (lieutenant governor, running for governor) rally.
It read……..”if you do not allow trans people into your bathrooms, then I do not have to allow you to drink from my water fountain.”

The racism is deep, overt and deeply entrenched just as it was in the KKK!
