- A bill that would slap everyday citizens with fines for saying something the political class doesn’t like about elections.
- Under SB 533, if you “maliciously” spread what they decide is “false” information about elections or voter eligibility, you could get hit with up to $1,000 in fines.
- If your employer is involved for “election-related purposes,” it could be up to $10,000.
Think about that for a second - politicians who can’t even balance a budget or fix the roads now want to decide what’s true and what’s false in political debate...
