When the 115th Congress adjourns, 69 nominations to the federal district and appeals court will expire and be returned to President Trump. That will break the record of 54 set in 1992, at the end of the 102nd Congress.
These numbers, however, do not tell the whole story.

Mr. Isikoff is best friends with Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson, who hired Mr. Steele in May and June 2016 with money funneled through a law firm from the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Ballot-harvesting, not just for California anymore...

Ballot-harvesting, not just for California anymore...
See the source image"...But are Americans aware of the potential for California vote-rigging to come to their states, making them so blue that no conservative will ever be able to win an election?
A California political operative, Edward Ring, writing in American Greatness, lays out the coming spectacle:
Come to California to see what's going to roll out across America in time to guarantee a progressive landslide in 2020.
It may be perfectly legal.
But it's so rigged it would make Boss Tweed blush.
...The way they did this was to pass laws designed to rig the system.
Three laws in particular combined to stack the deck against Republicans.

  • First came the Motor Voter law.  This meant that as soon as any California resident acquired or renewed his driver's license or state ID, he would be registered to vote automatically.
  • Second, the state legislature authorized counties automatically to send absentee ballots to voters, even if they had not requested those ballots.
  • Third, the rules governing ballot custody were changed so that anyone could turn in absentee ballots, not just the actual voter.

..Democrats... want what California has and are likely to pass the three laws California did to seal their permanent power entrenchment: Motor Voter laws that register voters whether they like it or not, absentee ballots mailed to voters whether they like it or not, and ballot-harvesting with no chain of custody by absolutely anyone.
Democrats are salivating in other states to put these measures through...
What it shows is that statehouses are important because they set election laws.
If the state is run by Democrats, rest assured they will take every advantage to secure absolute power.
What's needed now is a concerted Republican counterattack, not to secure absolute power, as the Democrats have done, but to secure free and fair elections from a willing electorate..."

Letter to the Editor: Weapons, armor of the Democrat Party – West Newsmagazine

Letter to the Editor: Weapons, armor of the Democrat Party – West Newsmagazine
"To the Editor:
In 1968, prior to going to Vietnam, I was trained in the U.S. Navy’s “Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape” school.
During one exercise, we were prisoners in a simulated P.O.W. camp.
We heard communist propaganda, based on speeches our P.O.W.’s heard during the Korean War.
In an effort to break military discipline and morale, blacks were told that the white Americans didn’t see them as equals.
Enlisted men were told officers thought they were “dirt.”
Men of faith were mocked.
We were taught that if captured, the enemy would use hate, fear, and division to defeat us.
Years ago, I began to see Democrats use those tactics against other Americans.
See the source imageHate, fear and division became the sword, spear and dagger of the Democrat Party. Referencing Midwesterners, Barack Obama said, “… it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
Obama fed jealousy and envy when he said “the wealthiest Americans should pay their fair share,” even though he admitted he paid less than half the standard rate for his income bracket.
Hillary Clinton slammed Trump supporters when she said, “You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?”
Joe Biden upped the hyperbole when he warned black Americans of Mitt Romney, saying; “They’re going to put y’all back in chains.”
During the 2016 election cycle, Democrats implied that under President Trump gays would be put into concentration camps.
In the daily media, President Trump is compared to Adolph Hitler and ISIS.
Democrats don’t fight on the battlefield of ideas, or facts.
They fight on the field of emotional base instincts and personal destruction.
They didn’t argue the philosophy, or qualifications of a constitutionalist Supreme Court Justice nominee like Brett Kavanaugh.
They painted him as a diabolical, drunken serial rapist, with no evidence, or our foundational principle of the presumption of innocence.
While fear, hate and division are their weapons, false moral superiority is the Democrat’s shield.
Conservative Republicans say that Democrats are wrong about economic and social issues. Democrats say Republicans are selfish and evil.
You can’t debate truth under those conditions.
They say they are the only Americans who care about other people, even though studies have shown that liberals donate to charity and even give blood less than conservatives.
A liberal will give you the shirt off someone else’s back.
They ignore the failures of their ideology.
One-hundred million people died under communism during the 20th century.
Venezuela and Cuba provide the real evidence of the price of the sweet illusion of socialism.
That’s why Democrats hide conservative truth, whether it is on a college campus, social media, CNN, or the New York Times.
The truth is that Americans are doing better under President Trump, including blacks, Hispanics, women, and gays.
Democrats can’t afford to let their base see the truth of our success under President Trump.
That is their Achilles heel.

(1) Fans of Best of the Web Today--Michael Smith
"I've been thinking about Venezuela - not about what craphole the socialists have turned it into, but what happens next in a post-socialist country.
There will be a post-socialist Venezuela because the socialist government will fall and capitalism will come because capitalism needs no government support to survive - it only needs two people who each have something the other wants, needs or desires and both are willing to trade.
See the source imageI've been thinking about whether it makes sense to put together a group of technicians, engineers, managers and financiers over the next few years, people who are willing to invest time and money in rebuilding middle market industries down there.
...They are going to need people who know how various industries work and how to bring them back. Venezuelan industry hasn't modernized, it actually has been sliding backwards in time as the death spiral continues.
A friend of mine made a killing in the 1990's while advancing technology in a country when he put together a group that bought a medium sized, privately owned, specialty tire manufacturer (made farm and heavy equipment tires) and a couple of years later, sold it to a Russian company.
The Russian tire industry had not modernized and was still making tires the way they were made in the 50's.
This business my friend's group bought was not up to date as compared to US technology standards but was decades ahead of the Russian factories.
I've seen cases where entire factories were imported - a less efficient, less competitive factory here in the US is the cream of the crop in most countries like Venezuela..."

"Teens were leaving the Turning Point USA conference in South Florida when they were heckled in the airport by a man triggered after seeing their red Donald Trump MAGA hats.
Group founder Charlie Kirk tweeted shaky video of the incident.
“You’re wearing a racist hat!” a man announced to fellow fliers, apparently trying to get others to gang up on them.
“Take off the racist hats!” he demanded, as one of the students replied, “Merry Christmas, sir.”
“Take off your racist hats!” he ordered again.
“Love the hats,” a passerby remarked.
“I’m not going to take it off,” a student replied as the video ends.
Kirk only identified them as “high school leaders.”
He didn’t ID the airport where the incident took place.
Earlier this year, two teens were sitting in a San Antonio Whataburger when a man walked up, ripped the hat off his head and threw a drink in his face.

Do they even remotely embrace the American idea anymore? Socialism and top-down authoritarianism were hardly contemplated by the Framers. I might tell Ocasio-Cortez that the Apostle Paul said, "From one man (God) made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands."

The Diversity Staff at the University of Michigan Is Nearly 100 People | Intellectual Takeout
"Year after year, media note and sometimes bemoan the ballooning cost of higher education.
There is no doubt that the human costs of this rise are severe:
Some 44 million Americans currently carry nearly $1.5 trillion in student loan debt, and the delinquency rate is 11 percent.
There are various reasons for surging costs, but the primary one is the remarkable expansion of university administration in recent decades.
As Paul Campos, a law professor at the University of Colorado, wrote in the New York Times a few years ago:
“According to the Department of Education data, administrative positions at colleges and universities grew by 60 percent between 1993 and 2009, which Bloomberg reported was 10 times the rate of growth of tenured faculty positions...
1. The University of Michigan currently employs a diversity staff of nearly 100 (93) full-time diversity administrators...
2. More than one-quarter (26) of these “diversicrats” earn annual salaries of more than $100,000, and the total...employee compensation for this group tops $11 million per year. And of course that doesn’t count the cost of office space, telephones, computers and printers, printing, postage, programs, training, or travel expenses.

If you fell out of your chair upon realizing that the University of Michigan has a full-time diversity staff of nearly one hundred employees, one of whom earns more than the president of the United States, you can be forgiven. I nearly did too..."

Image result for Cognitive dissonance"Progressives have always been collectivists (i.e. socialists, Marxists and communists).
Until the fall of the USSR, collectivists generally followed the Stalinist/Orwellian model , the central premise of which is that the government is God, whatever it says goes without question and you will be forced to act as if it is true - even if it isn't - because to do what the government needs to do, 5 must be the answer.
2+2=5 because we say it is, comrade.
But inherent in Stalinist/Orwellian collectivism is the epidemic of cognitive dissonance it creates. Cognitive dissonance is a serious, debilitating mental illness in which mental discomfort (psychological stress) is experienced by a person who simultaneously holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values.
In short, no matter how many times a government tells you that the answer is 5, you can hold up your fingers and prove that is false.
Then came the Frankfurt School, postmodernism and the invention of cultural Marxism - and out of that was born postmodernist progressivism..."

And only someone illiterate concerning history would compare it to the Berlin Wall or Hadrian’s Wall. Likewise, it is impossible to make a legitimate environmental case against it, and anyone familiar with arithmetic can see that the cost of the wall will be dwarfed by the amount it will save the taxpayers. Nonetheless, these are just a few of the many absurd arguments made by the Democrats and the media against the wall. The true reason for their opposition is obvious, however. They need fraudulent votes from illegals to save their party.

Don Surber: Trump vindicated, media is silent
Two months ago, Jamal Khashoggi was the thing.
He died in Saudi Arabia's embassy in Istanbul apparently painfully and slowly.
The Washington Establishment went whacko and demanded President Trump break relations with Saudi Arabia for the death of Khashoggi, whom the elitists described as a journalist for the Washington Post.
He wrote 20 columns for the paper.
See the source imageThe media portrayed him as a journalist and portrayed Our President as a murderer of journalists by proxy.
Now we know the rest of the story.
Khashoggi was a propagandist for Qatar, the one gulf state that sides with Syria and Iran.
...This admission vindicated President Trump's reluctance to break relations with an 80-year ally.
The Post should never have run the columns.
...Khashoggi's death has been illuminating.
The press blindly took up his cause, elevating him to the status of Time Magazine Thing Of The Year.
David Reaboi, a security expert, wrote five days ago, "Once President Trump released a robust statement supporting the US-Saudi alliance, intense political pressure was felt from anti-Trump forces in the American media, which pushed Democrats toward Qatar and Iran, and away from Saudi Arabia.
Suddenly, the alliance had become a partisan issue; prominent Democrats in Congress began calling for a reevaluation of American policy toward the country..."

The Elephant at the Southern Border
"Why do the public discussions of immigration overwhelmingly focus on our Southern border while the influx of almost equal numbers of Asians, Europeans, and Indians goes unnoticed?
Why fixate on Hispanics?
...The elephant in the room is the low I.Q. of these would-be future Americans.
Specifically, the average I.Q. in central American countries – Honduras 81, El Salvador 81, Guatemala 79, for example – would assign these migrants and their offspring to the "educable" or mildly retarded category in schools, unable to master all but the basics
(Mexico might be a small exception with an average I.Q. of 88).
See the source image...Put into context, the average I.Q. of black Americans is 85, so these Central Americans would be at the very bottom of America's educational achievement hierarchy.
...The influx of millions of low-I.Q. people will likely transform America (politics included) and conceivably even edge us closer to nations like Brazil and even Venezuela.
...First, this will be a population plagued by innumeracy in a society requiring at least some ability to comprehend numbers.
How many low-I.Q. people understand what a million or billion is, let alone trillions, all commonplace terms in deliberations over the national debt and trade deficits?
Keep in mind that many of those with low I.Q.s love the lottery, where one-in-a million odds seem "reasonable."
These are also people who as jurors can award damages in the hundreds of millions thanks to junk science.
Imagine a judicial system where a handful of juries regularly dictates hundred-million-dollar judgments that bankrupt corporations while creating extensive unemployment and destroying pensions..."

California faces a pension showdown
"Governor Jerry Brown as he leaves office is warning that California and its public agencies are on the road to "fiscal oblivion" if pension benefits can't be adjusted down.
...California drastically increased public employee pension benefits in the fall of 2003, when the state allowed employees to purchase "airtime."
See the source imagePrior to the pension spike, a 50-year-old fireman making $89,000 a year could retire at age 50 after 30 years of service and collect an $80,100-a-year pension with life expectancy of 76.3 years.
But under "airtime," the fireman could purchase extra years of seniority at a cost per of $0.18022 per year for every $1 of salary.
For $80,197.90, the fireman could increase his pension by $13,350 to $93,450.
Such an investment in "airtime" would return a spectacular income stream of $351,105 over the next 26.3 years of life expectancy.
