About 200 of Mackenzie High School's 17-hundred students walked out of the school yesterday afternoon.
They marched along a nearby street, chanting in protest against a lack of textbooks."
These kids may be the only honest folks in the entire Detroit school system. No city wide protest, after all it's black on black here.

The increase that passed the state senate unanimously this month would raise the minimum over the next two years to $7.40 an hour -- one of the highest in the country, and well above the national minimum of $5.15. How this will help the state with the third-highest jobless rate (6.2%) outside of the Gulf Coast is a mystery. The libraries are full of studies showing how states lose jobs when they impose wage controls.

Making all illegals instant felons might sound good to some but our jails would fill up overnight and other countries would retaliate big time. Bad idea. The guest worker program isn't a bad idea but giving illegals special rights to become citizens is insane! We've got to treat all immigrants equally.
