Is ‘Global Warming’ the Greenie Weenies’ WMDs?
"So when they continue to plead the case that the earth is warming but research they’d prefer to suppress says otherwise – and they’re caught saying as much – their credibility is shot in the pants.
Because like Iraq, the Green movement has staked is credibility almost solely on global warming and like Colin Powell’s impressive rhetoric over WMDs, Greenie Weenies are beginning to look a little foolish."

9 People Slain In Bloody Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend
"It was a violent and deadly holiday weekend in the Chicago area, with nine people reported slain between Wednesday and Sunday nights."

Mr President, what is our exit strategy from this hell hole that kills hundreds of Americans every year and is costing the American tax payer billions of dollars?
How many more young Americans must die before you make up your mind?

What is your plan Mr President!

The FDIC goes Bankrupt

The FDIC goes Bankrupt
"In one of my earlier articles on 24th October 2009, I had talked about the slump in the FDIC's deposit insurance fund reserve ratio to 0.22.
According to the third quarter report by the FDIC, the DIF reserve ratio stands at a negative of 0.16.
This effectively means that the FDIC is bankrupt"
This is a disaster. And the Obama administration is TODAY forcing the banks into coddling the deadbeat mortgage cheats with even more of our money!

A Huckabee clemency* gone awry?
"And the story also recalls another act of clemency gone awry: Huckabee advocated for parole for a convicted rapist who -- his allies said -- had been railroaded by Huckabee predecessor Bill Clinton. The rapist, Wayne DuMond, was released; he raped and murdered another woman."

Health bills fail to block illegals from coverage

Health bills fail to block illegals from coverage
"The House bill mandates, and the Senate bill strongly encourages, businesses to extend health care coverage to all employees.
But the bills do not have exemptions to screen out illegal immigrants, who usually obtain jobs by using false identities and are indistinguishable from legal workers."

From Snitch to Rich? The Case of UBS’s Brad Birkenfeld
"Under a 2006 whistle-blower law, explains the NYT’s Lynnley Browning, informants now stand to collect 15 to 30% of the taxes, fines, penalties and interest ultimately collected by the I.R.S. In the case of UBS, the tally could run into the billions."

Police say man schemed with fake gunman to have sex with relative
"After Lee Craddock and an adult female relative were held at gunpoint along a rural road, they told police an appalling tale: They were ordered into the woods near Kent City and forced to have sex while their attacker watched"

Top court backs Wal-Mart over union store closing
"The Supreme Court of Canada turned down Friday a long-fought appeal by Wal-Mart employees who banded together to unionize before the corporate giant shut its doors Jonquiere, Quebec.

In August 2004, the Saguenay region store was the first Wal-Mart to unionize in North America, but the bid by 190 employees didn't last long.

On the day a collective bargaining dispute was ordered to arbitration, the mega U.S. retailer said it would close shop, citing financial reasons."

Best Buy Ad Touting Muslim Holiday Sparks Debate

Best Buy Ad Touting Muslim Holiday Sparks Debate
"A Best Buy ad with a Muslim theme is raising questions of how retailers should mark religious holidays.
The ad on BestBuy.com wishes Muslims a happy Eid al-Adha, a Muslim holiday that lasts three days and happens to fall on the extended Thanksgiving weekend.

Another post wasn't as supportive: 'Happy Eid Al-Adha but no Merry Christmas? I assume your next advertisements will say Merry Christmas. Otherwise, I will no longer shop at best buy. I will shop at those businesses which support Christmas.'

Best Buy released a statement saying, 'We do use the word 'holiday' in some of our advertising because it is meant to be inclusive to everyone.

BB dropped the offensive "Christmas" a few years ago.

Ain't diversity great!

WHEN THE PUBLIC COFFERS run dry.

WHEN THE PUBLIC COFFERS run dry.
“California could have dealt with its budget problems gradually–it’s not like you couldn’t see this mismatch coming, unless you thought that asset prices would always rise at 10% a year.
But legislators wanted to give voters goodies now, and voters rewarded them for it.
Now everyone’s getting what they asked for: disaster.”"

Thank President Obama?

Shingles vaccine is available from our County health dept. for $15 if you're 60+.

If you've had chicken pox, you are at greater risk so it is a good idea to get your shot now.

The cost is very low for this relatively new and expensive vaccine because the federal government has funded a grant to keep the cost low.

The nice nurse who gave me my shot told me to "thank President Obama" because he funded the grant.

I suggested we thank the US companies and taxpayers who actually paid for the grant but she seemed to discard that annoying fact.

Last year, I went with a friend for his shot.
The nurse somehow forgot to remind us to thank President Bush.
And there is that congress thingy where they make spending decisions and stuff.....

The Impact of Union Control Large and Small – a Collapsing Economy and Fewer Firefighters in Costa Mesa

The Impact of Union Control Large and Small – a Collapsing Economy and Fewer Firefighters in Costa Mesa
"Yet, despite financial pain for citizens everywhere and a state teetering on insolvency, even suggesting that public employee unions agree to salary decreases is rejected out of hand.
In fact, they have gone to court to stop attempts to reduce their pay.
Why?
Because unions control the state.

There is no chance that the legislature is going to go against them because they give elected officials too much money – our money, skimmed right off the top of public employee salaries.

We often focus on this corrupt political machine at the state level, but don’t kid yourselves, it happens in your city as well. Just 3 months ago, the Costa Mesa city council, a city that is dealing with substantial budget shortfalls because of its heavy reliance on retail sales tax revenues, voted to beef up the retirement packages of its firefighters, allowing them to retire at essentially full salary at age 50"

Payback Time - Wave of Debt Payments Facing U.S. Government
"The United States government is financing its more than trillion-dollar-a-year borrowing with i.o.u.’s on terms that seem too good to be true.

But that happy situation, aided by ultralow interest rates, may not last much longer."
