The 22.8-million acre reserve in Alaska’s North Slope has been protected as an oil resource for the United States since 1923."

"Privacy advocates in Congress have introduced another bi-partisan bill attempting to amend decades-old legislation that has allowed police and government to search private data without a warrant.
The bill, called the Online Communications and Geolocation Privacy Act, looks to fix the severely outdated Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986 so that email and location data stored by third parties like Google or AT&T receive the same warrant protections as data stored on a personal computer."

Accidents involving more than 50 cars closed all lanes of I-70 in the mountains for much of Monday afternoon.
Westbound lanes of the interstate reopened about 4:45 p.m., with eastbound lanes re-opening about 5:15 p.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation reported.
Lake Dillon Fire Rescue reported one accident involving 25 vehicles and 27 people on I-70 in Silverthorne near the Blue River Parkway exit.
Another pileup, about three miles east, involved 29 vehicles, according to the Colorado State Patrol, but no injuries were reported there."
