"Thanks to lax policies and open borders, we are dealing with much larger threats.  But, what if we were dealing with a large scale outbreak of the common cold?  Would we abandon the common sense do’s and don’ts to prevent infecting others?

VIDEO: Obama’s Many Scandals Put on Display in One Hilarious Song:

"This would be funny if it wasn’t a reality lived by Americans across the country. Well, even though it is reality, this song is absolutely hilarious. Remy, from Reason, has another video hit on his hands. This is a great video!

VIDEO: Dr. Alveda King Says the Words that Most Black People Won’t Admit About Obama:

"When Barack Obama was elected President of the United States in 2008, many people said that his election fulfilled Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s dream. In fact, the history of electing the nation’s first black president was pushed so hard that his past, his belief system did not seem to matter. People interested in making history paid no attention to who Barack Obama was as a person.
In fact, who he was as a person was kept well hidden with all personal info about him sealed and daring to question it leading to a charge of racism."

Articles: Is ACORN behind violent unrest in Ferguson?

Articles: Is ACORN behind violent unrest in Ferguson?
With all the pathologies on parade right now in and around Ferguson, really, how could the loyalists of ACORN, which once claimed a membership of 400,000, have stayed away from the opportunity to lynch a white police officer for doing his job?
The recruiting and fundraising opportunities for the cop-hating progressive movement are virtually unlimited.
What's going on in Ferguson is mobocracy at its ugliest.
Activists are blackmailing the grand jury that is now hearing evidence against police officer Darren Wilson, who shot Brown in August reportedly in self-defense.
If the grand jurors refuse to indict Wilson, radical activists are promising even more mayhem.
The message is unmistakable: indict the cop, and there will be peace.
 Don't, and Ferguson will burn.
One of the groups deeply involved in causing chaos in Ferguson is Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment (MORE), a 501(c)(4) nonprofit.
MORE is the rebranded Missouri branch of the former Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN),
which filed for bankruptcy in late 2010.

Holi crapoli! EVERYONE is a victim!!!------New protections added to Ann Arbor's non-discrimination ordinance

New protections added to Ann Arbor's non-discrimination ordinance | MLive.com:
"The City Council voted 10-0 Monday night to add protections against discrimination when it comes to housing, employment and public accommodations for victims of domestic violence and stalking, and on the basis of gender expression, veteran status, political beliefs, genetic information, arrest record and familial status.
"These changes, I believe, reflect Ann Arbor's values of openness and tolerance," said Council Member Christopher Taylor, D-3rd Ward.
"I'm grateful to be able to help put this policy into effect," added Council Member Chuck Warpehoski, D-5th Ward.
The ordinance continues to include protections against discrimination on the basis of age, color, disability, educational association, family responsibilities, gender identity, height, HIV status, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, source of income, and weight.
The city is still waiting on the state to add sexual orientation and gender identity to the state's anti-discrimination laws."

Michelle Malkin Blasts Colorado Law as 'Voter Fraud Frankenstein'

Michelle Malkin Blasts Colorado Law as 'Voter Fraud Frankenstein' | Fox News Insider:

"With just two weeks until the 2014 midterm elections, there are warnings that a new Colorado law has opened the door to possible voter fraud in a critical Senate race.
About 16 months ago, the Democratic governor signed an election law which allows residents to print ballots from their home computers, then turn them over to collectors.
Critics say this could lead to voter fraud, and they allege it was pushed through the state Legislature to keep Democrats in power.
Over the course of a decade, a once-red state has become more Democratic – and a new film, hosted by Michelle Malkin, tells the story of how that happened.
“Rocky Mountain Heist,” produced by Citizens United, is a documentary which reveals how a wealthy liberal quartet took over the state."

Soooooo, the BIG PROBLEM is....... us?-----------Shock Interview: Ebola Czar Says Population Growth Is Top Issue Facing the World

Shock Interview: Ebola Czar Says Population Growth Is Top Issue Facing the World:

Since his appointment as America’s Ebola Czar it has been revealed that not only does Ron Klain have no medical experience to speak of, but that his position as the head of coordinating efforts to stop Ebola is just a stepping stone to something bigger and better. The administration says that they need someone with management experience to ensure containment operations are executed effectively.
That would be all fine and dandy except for a shocking interview that has made its way onto the internet in which Klain is asked about the top issue facing the world.
It turns out that the new Ebola Czar, whose responsibility is to quash the spread of Ebola and save lives, is seemingly an advocate of population and resource control.
I think the top issue facing the world today is how to deal with the continuing growing population in the world and all of the resource demands it places on the world.

And burgeoning populations in Africa and Asia that lack the resources to have a health, happy life. I think we’ve got to find a way to make the world work for everyone.

Small Businesses Get Sobering Dose Of Reality as Health Insurers Reveal Their Rates For 2015: "Despite repeated assurances from the Obama administration that this would not be the case and that lowering costs was a fundamental tenet of the plan at its passing, it seems that in practice it is not working out this way.

In fact, it’s working out in precisely the opposite way: Not only are rates increasing, but they are increasing at extremely high levels."

Serial killer suspect got 5 years prison in plea deal

Serial killer suspect got 5 years prison in plea deal « Watchdog.org:
"An Austin man who has confessed to the murder of at least seven Indiana women, according to police, had been arrested and convicted for sexually assaulting a Texas woman in 2008.
However, Darren Vann served just five years in prison after Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg’s office agreed to a plea deal with Vann.
Vann was classified as a “low risk” offender when he was released from state prison in July 2013, despite the fact that his victim testified he had strangled her.

Strangulation is considered a red flag for eventual homicide both by law enforcement and by academics, who have established it as “an important risk factor” for homicides against women.
Vann was initially charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony carrying a penalty of five to 99 years in prison.
He was accused of oral and vaginal penetration, strangulation and making death threats, each of those fitting the crime’s definition.
Yet Lehmberg’s office allowed Vann to plea to a second-degree felony, sexual assault, which resulted in the five-year sentence.
The Austin Police Department announced Mondaythat it would review cold homicide cases after reports that Vann told police in Gary, Indiana, that his crimes stretch back 20 years.
Vann reportedly has moved back and forth between Indiana and Austin. Vann’s case generated nationwide coverage after police found the bodies of seven women in abandoned buildings there.
The 2008 warrant for Vann’s arrest, first published by the Austin American Statesman, describes a brutal stranger rape in Vann’s own apartment and unmistakable DNA evidence."

It's the culture, stupid!-----Muslim Burial Practices Blamed for Spread of Ebola Virus

Muslim Burial Practices Blamed for Spread of Ebola Virus | The Gateway Pundit

Islam requires family members to personally wash the corpses of loved ones from head to toe. This practice is putting more Africans at risk to catch the disease that is spread by body fluids.
Investors.com reported:
Islam isn’t just at the heart of the terror threat posed by the Islamic State. The religion is also contributing to the other major crisis plaguing the globe: the spread of Ebola.
Washington and its media stenographers won’t tell you this, lest they look intolerant, but Islamic burial rituals are a key reason why health officials can’t contain the spread of the deadly disease in West Africa.
Many of the victims of Ebola in the three hot-spot nations there — Sierra Leone and Guinea, as well as neighboring Liberia — are Muslim. Roughly 73% of Sierra Leone’s and about 85% of Guinea’s people are Muslim. Islam, moreover, is practiced by more than 13% of Liberians.
When Muslims die, family members don’t turn to a funeral home or crematorium to take care of the body. In Islam, death is handled much differently.
Relatives personally wash the corpses of loved ones from head to toe. Often, several family members participate in this posthumous bathing ritual, known as Ghusl.
Before scrubbing the skin with soap and water, family members press down on the abdomen to excrete fluids still in the body. A mixture of camphor and water is used for a final washing. Then, family members dry off the body and shroud it in white linens.
Again, washing the bodies of the dead in this way is considered a collective duty for Muslims, especially in Muslim nations. Failure to do so is believed to leave the deceased “impure” and jeopardizes the faithful’s ascension into Paradise (unless he died in jihad; then no Ghusl is required).

Mike Brown's Blood Found On Darren Wilson's Gun:

Europe Must Drop the Euro, Germany Abandon Mercantilism

Europe Must Drop the Euro, Germany Abandon Mercantilism - Peter Morici - Townhall Finance Conservative Columnists and Financial Commentary - Page 1:
"Europe faces yet another recession, and the prospect is shaking global financial markets.
To eliminate the persistent threat of collapse, Europe must drop the euro, and Germany must abandon mercantilism.
When the euro was adopted in 1999, domestic prices, the face values for bonds and loans, and bank accounts were translated into euros according to prevailing exchange rates for national currencies at the time.
Initially, the single currency posed few significant problems.
Over time, however, differences in labor market policies and geographic conditions that are difficult for governments to alter caused productivity to grow more rapidly in Germany and other northern economies.
Also, Germany and northern states pursued mercantilist, exported-driven growth strategies.
Prices for many goods made in Italy and other southern economies became too high to be competitive in the north.
Those countries imported more than they exported and financed the resulting trade deficits by borrowing from the north.
In Spain, a property boom permitted homeowners to run up large mortgages, and banks borrowed heavily from the north to finance those.
In Italy and Greece, governments spent and borrowed heavily through bond financing to prop up employment."

Democrats at it AGAIN!!------Bill Proposes Adding Wind Industry to 'Right to Farm' Act

Bill Proposes Adding Wind Industry to 'Right to Farm' Act [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"Wind turbines could be erected without regard for some local laws under recently introduced legislation.
House Bill 5886 would amend Michigan’s Right to Farm Act to include wind production. If enacted, it would allow wind turbines to be constructed on agricultural land with no zoning or building permits of any kind.
Enacted in 1981, the Right to Farm Act was meant to protect farmers from nuisance lawsuits.
Under the Act, farmers who follow the Generally Accepted Agricultural and Management Practices (GAAMP) are protected from lawsuits over noise, dust, odors and so on that result from normal farm operations. House Bill 5886 would add wind energy production in with farming activities, such as harvesting and storage of farm products.
The measure was introduced on Oct. 2 by Rep. Jeff Irwin, D-Ann Arbor, and Rep. Jon Switalski, D-Warren, and assigned to the House Energy and Technology Committee."

State bans purchase of most SUVs but governor, family still chauffeured in them

State bans purchase of most SUVs but governor, family still chauffeured in them « Watchdog.org:
"Last year, the Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration, in an attempt to improve the state fleet’s environmental friendliness, issued a policy that prevents most departments from buying all-wheel-drive sports utility vehicles.
Yet, Gov. John Hickenlooper and his family are still chauffeured around in two SUVs, which according to government figures get about 22 miles a gallon highway and 16 mpg in city driving in the six cylinder version.
.....But Gregory Golyansky, president of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, said the governor should be setting an example if he and his cabinet are pushing for green vehicles.
“This governor is a proponent of all kinds of green fantasies,” he said.
“If they are so useful, the government wouldn’t have to require departments to buy them.”"

U.S. Congress examining deal between NSA official, ex-agency chief

U.S. Congress examining deal between NSA official, ex-agency chief | Reuters:
"A Senate committee and an outspoken U.S. Congressman are seeking further information about a deal under which a top National Security Agency official is being permitted to work part-time for a private company run by the spy agency's former director.
The Senate Intelligence Committee has requested a copy of an "internal review" which NSA said last week it had opened into an arrangement under which Patrick Dowd, the spy agency's chief technical officer is being allowed up to 20 hours per week for IronNet Cybersecurity Inc, a congressional official said.
IronNet is a venture created by retired Gen. Keith Alexander, who stepped down as NSA director in March.
Under the arrangement, which Reuters first reported on Friday, IronNet, not NSA, will pay for the time Dowd spent working for the firm.
It could not be determined whether Dowd has actually begun working for Alexander.
The arrangement, which current and former officials said was approved by top NSA managers, has raised questions about the blurring of lines between government and business."
