The Democrats Gave us the Confederate Flag, But Don't Expect Them to Get Exposed as Hypocrites - The Rush Limbaugh Show

The Democrats Gave us the Confederate Flag, But Don't Expect Them to Get Exposed as Hypocrites - The Rush Limbaugh Show:

"I have yet to see any hypocrisy argument carry the day and discredit a Democrat. I mean, here the Democrat Party owns the Confederate flag. The Confederacy was Democrats. The ancestors, the heirs of the Confederacy were Democrats. The governors, the police chiefs, the segregationists were all Democrats. The Confederacy was Democrats, it was the Democrat Party.

Abraham Lincoln was the father of the Republican Party. It was the party of the North. Fritz Hollings, a Democrat governor, hoisted the Confederate flag in South Carolina. Everything to do with the Confederacy the Democrat Party owns lock, stock, and barrel. They gave it to us. Bill Clinton signed all kinds of proclamations. Hillary Clinton did proudly appear with caricatures and replicas of the Confederate flag, and people are finding these and they're posting them all over Twitter. It isn't gonna matter because nobody in the media where the low-information people go that confers authority is gonna give the Clintons any grief over it. Because it's not the target, it's not the reason."

If the Islamic State’s Global Ambitions Weren’t Clear Yet, Check Out What’s on the Back of Its New Gold Coin | TheBlaze.com:

"Photos have emerged of gold coins allegedly minted by the Islamic State group in Syria, presumably to be put into circulation one day as the currency of its intended modern-day caliphate.

The currency, called the “Islamic dinar,” includes images revealing the global ambitions of the jihadist group: One coin shows a map of the world. Another is decorated with seven wheat stalks, a reference to the Koran."

Apple Pulls All Civil War Games From The App Store

Apple Pulls All Civil War Games From The App Store | Zero Hedge
...To an extent all of that was expected.
However, even we were stunned when we learned moments ago that none other than that ultimate "arbiter" on all things moral and ethical, Apple itself, entered the fray with a decision to remove all Civil War games from its App Store!
According to MacRumors, "Apple has removed seemingly all Civil War games from the App Store for displaying the Confederate Flag in "offensive and mean-spirited ways," our sister website TouchArcade has learned.
Apple has sent a removal letter to affected developers to inform them that their app does not comply with Section 19.1 of the App Store Review Guidelines."
"19.1 Apps containing references or commentary about a religious, cultural or ethnic group that are defamatory, offensive, mean-spirited or likely to expose the targeted group to harm or violence will be rejected."
MacRumors further adds that it did do a spot check of the App Store and can confirm that Apple has removed dozens of Civil War games depicting the Confederate Flag. Most educational or generic Civil War apps remain available on the App Store.
A sampling of the Civil War games removed from the App Store:

Black Panther Chairman: 'Complete' Charleston's Slave Rebellion's Plan to Kill All Slave Masters

Black Panther Chairman: 'Complete' Charleston's Slave Rebellion's Plan to Kill All Slave Masters
CHARLESTON, South Carolina — In an angry call to arms just a block away from the site of the Charleston massacre, former New Black Panther Party chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz told a group of about 200 African American Charlestonians that they need to “finish the mission” of killing “slave masters” and their families.
He made the incendiary comments at the Save the Black Church rally held Tuesday night in Marian Square, close to the Mother Emanuel AME Church, where white racist Dylann Roof allegedly murdered nine black churchgoers.
Shabazz, who played a prominent role in the Baltimore and Ferguson uprisings, heads a group called Black Lawyers for Justice and boasts a long association with the controversial New Black Panther Party.
Shabazz’s comments began with the story of Denmark Vesey, who planned an unsuccessful slave revolt and helped found the Mother Emanuel Church.
...The rebellion plan was to “seize Charleston’s arsenals and guard houses, kill the Governor, set fire to the city, and kill every white man they saw,” according to PBS.
Vesey and his conspirators planned the uprising for July 14, Bastille Day, but in early June some nervous slaves leaked the information to their owners.
Vesey was arrested before the plot could be carried out...
...In his speech, Malik Zulu Shabazz told the story of Vesey to the crowd and discussed Vesey’s scheme.
“Denmark Vesey had a plan to kill all the slave masters in the state,” Shabazz proclaimed.
“Denmark Vesey had a plan to kill every last one of them and kill all of their goddamn families.”
Shabazz, whose remarks elicited applause, turned to current events, telling the audience:
“We’re out of Denmark Veseys.
And we need some new Demark Veseys today....”

BREAKING: Tens of Thousands Are "Liking" What Cooter from Dukes of Hazzard Just Said:

"In a post to his Facebook page, Ben “Cooter” Jones explained that the flag represented not racism and bigotry, but the “indomitable spirit of independence,” as well as the values of the rural South, including courage, family and good times.

“Our beloved symbol is now being attacked in a wave of political correctness that is unprecedented in our nation of free speech and free expression,” he wrote."

And Still More Environmental Epic Fail

And Still More Environmental Epic Fail | Power Line:
"...First, all those places like universities (natch) that are banning bottled water because there are too many plastic bottles in the waste stream?
It isn’t working.
(By the way, the bottled water craze was partly set off by environmentalists to begin with—from their unfounded warnings about “dangerous” U.S. tap water that isn’t dangerous at all.
But hey—we gotta have something in those direct mail letters. . .)
The American Journal of Public Health (it’s peer-reviewed!) has just published a study entitled The Unintended Consequences of Changes in Beverage Options and the Removal of Bottled Water on a University Campus.”
It’s behind a paywall, but the full abstract is available, and I haven’t had this good a HEH! moment since, well. . . since this morning:
  1. We investigated how the removal of bottled water along with a minimum healthy beverage requirement affected the purchasing behavior, healthiness of beverage choices, and consumption of calories and added sugars of university campus consumers.
  2. With shipment data as a proxy, we estimated bottled beverage consumption over 3 consecutive semesters: baseline (spring 2012), when a 30% healthy beverage ratio was enacted (fall 2012), and when bottled water was removed (spring 2013) at the University of Vermont. We assessed changes in number and type of beverages and per capita calories, total sugars, and added sugars shipped.
  3. Per capita shipments of bottles, calories, sugars, and added sugars increased significantly when bottled water was removed. Shipments of healthy beverages declined significantly, whereas shipments of less healthy beverages increased significantly. As bottled water sales dropped to zero, sales of sugar-free beverages and sugar-sweetened beverages increased.
  4. The bottled water ban did not reduce the number of bottles entering the waste stream from the university campus, the ultimate goal of the ban. With the removal of bottled water, consumers increased their consumption of less healthy bottled beverages.
So heh!
Look do-gooders: if bottled water could survive Lewis Black (10 minute video, language warning) it will survive your stupid interventions.
But wait, there’s more!
You’ve heard we’re banning trans-fat in America?
This comes as a relief: it means we’ve finally found a trans-something that liberals don’t approve of. For those of us who present as Hefto-Americans and self-identify as members of the trans-fat community, this seems like blatant bigotry.
But guess what mom: banning trans-fat is bad for the environment, too!
Time magazine reported last week:
The Ban Will Likely Lead to an Increase in Palm Oil Cultivation...

Everybody gonna need a name change-----Debate over rebel flag widens to include all symbols of Confederacy

Debate over rebel flag widens to include all symbols of Confederacy | Fox News:
The debate over the rebel flag that began anew after last week's church shootings in Charleston, S.C., has morphed into a full-blown Confederate controversy.
While Stars and Bars have long been associated by many with slavery, the latest campaign to remove Confederate emblems has extended beyond the flag to statues, memorials, parks and even school mascots.
Never has the debate over what symbolizes heritage and what stands for hate covered so much ground, as efforts to strip icons that have been part of the visual and cultural landscape of the South for decades are afoot at national, state and local levels.
In one Arkansas town, the school board voted unanimously Tuesday to ban the song "Dixie" for the next school year and phase out “Rebel,” the school’s mascot.
“It came to our attention that the public has been pretty upset about the Confederate flag, which has already been removed, the rebel mascot [and] the playing of the ‘Dixie,’” Fort Smith, Ark., school board member Susan McFerran told reporters after the board voted for the changes.

Supremes gone wild..... and unintelligible?

Scratching the Totalitarian Itch | Erick on the Radio

Scratching the Totalitarian Itch | Erick on the Radio:
"They came in to power and destroyed lives.
Relationships were ruined.
Historic monuments were destroyed.
History had to be rewritten.
The American left has, running through it, the same totalitarian streak that ran through the Communists, their kissing-cousins the Nazis, and the Islamic State.
The left, always in search of a utopia, decides to force utopia on the world.
That requires their inner totalitarian.
Communists, when they took over Russia, China, Cuba, etc. etc. etc. tore down monuments, demanded allegiance to their state, drove out dissent, and rewrote history.
The Islamic State now destroys lives, ruins relationships, rewrites history, and tears down historic monuments as it remakes society into a Caliphate utopia.
The American left, thankfully, is not as violent as its intellectual cousins abroad … yet.
But while Bush was President, dissent was patriotic.
Now, to criticize the President or the left is to be branded a racist, bigot, homophobe, and more. Dissent is no longer welcome in the town square.
The left celebrates the business that won’t bake a cake for a confederate, but demands bakers who won’t bake for gay weddings be fined by the state and driven from business.
The pizza place get death threats if they have stars and bars pinned to the ceiling or publicly admit they don’t want a rainbow flag on the ceiling.
Historic memorials to the Civil War must be torn down.
Historic names must be changed. St. Petersburg must become Leningrad.
Companies must be shamed into not selling the Confederate battle flag..."

Study: Electric Cars Worse For Environment Than Gas Powered Cars

Study: Electric Cars Worse For Environment Than Gas Powered Cars | The Daily Caller:
A study published by the nonpartisan National Bureau of Economic Research found that on a per-mile basis electric cars were on average worse for the environment when compared to their gas-run counterparts.
The study concluded that on average per mile, electric cars were half a cent worse for the environment than gas-powered vehicles.
The environmental effects of the different vehicles depended largely on where they were driven. In urban areas, electric vehicles performed better, while the opposite occurred once the cars left the city.
In Grand Forks, North Dakota, electric vehicles were 3 cents worse for the environment per mile, while in Los Angeles, they performed 3.3 cents better per mile.
The authors of the study believe that this is an important distinction, especially when taking into account the federal government pays a $7,500 subsidy for every electric car purchased.
“Because electric vehicles, on average, generate greater environmental externalities than gasoline vehicles, the current federal policy has greater deadweight loss than the no-subsidy policy,” wrote the authors in their study.

Whoa. Pope says You Can't make Guns and Call Yourself a Christian! - Eagle Rising:

"Pope Francis has to be one of the most Marxist popes the Roman Catholic Church has seen in recent decades. Over the weekend he had the audacity to claim that those who are engaged in gunmaking cannot call themselves Christians.

At a youth rally in Turin, Italy, the pope said, ""It makes me think of … people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons," he said,"

Amazon Takes Down Confederate Flag, Continues to Sell Communist Merchandise

Amazon Takes Down Confederate Flag, Continues to Sell Communist Merchandise:
"In a marketing move that will shock no one, Amazon removed the Confederate flag after a howling mob of both liberals and brown-nosing conservatives demanded the “symbol of hate” be stricken from its shelves.
But these comrades can rest easy, knowing that they’ll have plenty of opportunities to stock up on Communist merchandise after their latest purge.
Amazon sells a huge variety of shirts, posters, you-name-it featuring the hammer and sickle, Joseph Stalin’s mustache, all things Che Guevara, Vladimir Lenin and other colorful revolutionaries who fought to make the world a better place, man.
Guevara’s book Guerilla Warfare is on sale in four different formats.
In one of the worst genocides in modern times, Stalin forcibly starved Ukrainian peasants in what’s known as the Holodomor, a “terror-famine” that left anywhere from 2.4 million to 7.5 million Ukrainian peasants dead in 1933.
Communism is chic: Amazon’s senior vice president Jay Carney proudly features Soviet Union war propaganda in his lavish home, after all. “Have you enlisted in the army?” a poster featured by The Washingtonian Magazine photo splash asks.

Helpful reminder — Communism led to the deaths of 94 million people world-wide within a hundred years. That’s approximately 93,999,991 more murders than a drug-addled, fatherless loser committed in Charleston."

LIBERTY REVIEW

LIBERTY REVIEW:

Safety and Security

By Tammy Derouin

The current executive used his bully pulpit to grandstand on his desire to remove more guns from our society following a heart-wrenching tragedy.  Of course, he continues to use the fail-safe argument that it’s for our protection, our safety.  Safety and security are the words which will destroy our rights and will end our freedom.

Obama stated, “But let’s be clear: At some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency. And it is in our power to do something about it.”  I guess he isn’t familiar with the facts or ISIS and their cruel and oppressive ways.

His partner in these devastating, anti-freedom, anti-American blows to the United States, Hillary Clinton, is also grandstanding.  The students of radical mentors have learned well.  Never let an opportunity go to waste. She is determined to continue to transform our nation into something it was never meant to be, a powerful centralized government.

Her question this past week was absurd.

Chanting 'Death to America,' Iran MPs vote to bar military inspectors | The Times of Israel:
"TEHRAN, Iran — With some lawmakers chanting “Death to the America,” Iran’s parliament voted Sunday to ban access to military sites, documents and scientists as part of a future deal with world powers over its contested nuclear program.
The bill, if approved into law, could complicate the ongoing talks in Vienna between Iran and the six-nation group — the U.S., Britain, France, Russia, China and Germany — as they face a self-imposed June 30 deadline.
The talks are focused on reaching a final accord that curbs Iran’s nuclear program in return for the lifting of economic sanctions..."

Michigan State professor says trends in criminal justice system evidence of 'war on women'

Michigan State professor says trends in criminal justice system evidence of 'war on women' | MLive.com:
EAST LANSING, MI — Arrest rates for men are decreasing while rates for women increase, leading one Michigan State University researcher to say the justice system is chipping away at women's rights.
Christina DeJong, associate professor of criminal justice at MSU, performed a study analyzing federal crime data from 1993 to 2012 and found arrest rates for men decreased 12.5 percent while arrest rates for women jumped 26.7 percent.
For violent crimes, arrest rates for men were down 13.5 percent and for women up 53.2 percent, DeJong found.
She said it's unlikely women became more criminal or more violent during that time frame and instead pointed toward changing police practices and dual arrest policies — where police arrest both people involved in a domestic violence incident — as reasons for the increase.
"This is particularly troubling," the study stated, "given that much of the domestic violence committed by women consists of acts of self-defense."
