"San Francisco’s progressive sheriff, Ross Mirkarimi, issued a memo in March barring deputies from communicating with federal immigration agents, the sheriff’s deputy’s union revealed earlier this week.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Mirkarimi issued the memo on March 13, about a month before the sheriff’s department released Juan Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, an illegal alien from Mexico who has used more than 30 aliases since first entering the U.S. in 1991 and has been deported five times.
Lopez-Sanchez, 45, allegedly fatally shot 32-year-old Kathryn Steinle in broad daylight July 1. Lopez-Sanchez was in federal prison until March 26. 
At that point, he was turned over to the San Francisco sheriff’s department because he had an outstanding marijuana warrant from 1995.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had issued a detainer request to the sheriff’s department asking to be notified before Lopez-Sanchez’s release. 
The sheriff’s department declined to honor that request because of San Francisco’s sanctuary city laws.
But Mirkarimi’s March 13 memo went even beyond the city’s statute.
In it, Mirkarimi called for “limited contact and communication with ICE representatives absent a court-issued warrant, a signed court order, or other legal requirement authorizing ICE access.”
According to The Los Angeles Times, Mirkarimi’s directive was stricter than the city’s 2013 Due Process for All ordinance.
That prohibited sheriff’s deputies from holding illegal aliens in jail on behalf of federal immigration agencies past their official release date except in cases involving certain felons.
Mirkarimi memo prohibited deputies from communicating to ICE that the department would not hold Lopez-Sanchez."

Al Jazeera introduced the segment by pointing out that “those who were at the [Chattanooga] recruiting station…were not permitted firearms.”
And they pointed out that “this is standard protocol, not only at recruiting centers but in other [military] facilities as well.”
...We can arm every recruiter, and that will help the recruiter stations in case they are attacked.
We can arm every Naval Reserve Center, every Army Reserve Center, but that’s not the issue.
The issue is, if [the recruiting stations and reserve centers] become hard targets, the other people that own shops and so forth in that strip mall aren’t protected themselves.
I think the problem is really this pervasive gun control mafia that we have in this country, that basically advocates for taking guns away from citizens who could potentially defend themselves, and leaving the only guns in the hands of those who might do them harm.

The deadly terror attack that killed four Marines in Chattanooga will undoubtedly weigh on Americans sitting around the dinner table tonight and present questions for many heading into the weekend.
Why have we not learned the lessons of 9/11?
This past month, liberals looked throughout the country to destroy every last vestige of Civil War history in the pursuit of a peaceful utopia.

In the state of Tennessee, liberals are in the process of disinterring the grave of confederate Generals.
But nobody is willing to discuss the biggest existential threat to our national security, despite yet another sad reminder with the Islamic terror attack that killed four Marines in Chattanooga, Tennessee yesterday.
When are we going to stop letting in Islamic terrorists through our front door?
...After 9/11, when the bipartisan 9/11 Commission identified the obvious root cause of the attack as an immigration problem, we doubled down on stupidity.
The U.S. has admitted roughly 1.6 million individuals from predominantly Muslim countries since 9/11 – twice the rate of immigration from that part of the world relative to the previous decade.
The Most Important Lesson of Chattanooga Terror Attack
The Islamic terrorist who murdered four marines at a recruiting station, Mohammad Youssduf Adbulazeer, was an immigrant from Kuwait.
Let’s be honest, not a single person has been killed in this country in recent history from a killer acquiring inspiration from the confederate flag and generals.
Yet, we have had countless Islamic terror attacks on our soil since 9/11 that have been directly inspired by the Islamic ideology and the teachings of Sharia.
...We can waste trillions of dollars and incur thousands of casualties refereeing endless Islamic civil wars oversees.
We can tip the scales of power from ISIS to Iran in response to this terror attack.
But what will that accomplish if we have already let in so many ticking time bombs through our front door and continue to do so on a daily basis?
We can talk about the absurdity of gun-free zones on military installations, and that is a valid point. As Mark Levin observed last night, the Iranian Islamists can be trusted with nukes but our military cannot be trusted with guns on their own bases.
But the most fundamental problem is suicidal immigration.
And it’s time we wake up as the political class gears up for new waves of immigration from the Middle East.

"CHICAGO –  Summertime in Chicago, shootings ring out on the South and West sides as gang members execute drug-fueled vendettas.
Bodies pile up, and innocent civilians are caught in the crossfire.
Still, nothing seems to stop the bullets flying from illegal weapons.
Father Michael Pfleger, pastor of St. Sabina on Chicago’s South Side, is trying something new; pressuring the municipalities where he says the illegal guns originate.
He and several co-plaintiffs are now suing the Villages of Riverdale, Lyons and Lincolnwood. 
Each town is home to a gun store that Pfleger claims is lax with oversight for gun purchases. 
He wants the villages to crack down and prevent “straw purchasing” -- buying weapons in bulk, then selling them into the black market at a profit.
“We’re not asking anybody to take away guns from [legal] gun owners,” Pfleger said.
The lawsuit argues that a disproportionate number of crime guns originate from the targeted villages.
However, the heart of the issue is gang violence.
And the ATF says gang guns don’t necessarily come from the gun shops in Riverdale, Lyons and Lincolnwood.
“The largest percentage of crime guns used by gang members are coming from Indiana,” Special Agent Thomas Ahern said.
The Village of Lyons – the only one of the municipalities that responded to a request from Fox News for comment – said in response to the suit that Chicago officials, with whom Pfleger works closely, are trying to pass the blame to outside communities for shortcomings dealing with crime.
The suit also makes a civil rights argument along racial lines.
It reads: “The victims of these crimes in which the guns from these stores are used are overwhelmingly African American....

Big Brother Barack wants the databases operational before he leaves office, and much of the data in them will be posted online.

So civil-rights attorneys and urban activist groups will be able to exploit them to show patterns of “racial disparities” and “segregation,” even if no other evidence of discrimination exists...

More than half of the new driver’s licenses issued in California during 2015 have gone to illegal immigrants.
“Of the 759,000 total licenses the DMV has issued, 397,000–or 52 percent–have gone to [illegals].”
The surge in illegal licensing is the result of AB 60–a California law that went into effect at the beginning of the year.
The law allows applicants to get a license by “only [proving] their identity and California residency, rather than their legal presence in the state.”
