Watch: Ted Cruz Just Threw An Epic Challenge At Obama- '...In Front Of The American People':

"Cruz has been adamant that the proposed agreement will enrich America’s enemies.

“Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, so much of that money will end up in the hands of Hamas and Hezbollah and the Houthis, and other radical Islamic terrorists,” Cruz said. “And if this deal goes through, the Obama administration will become, quite literally, the world’s leading financier of radical Islamic terrorism.”

Alan Greenspan: This is 'extremely dangerous'

Alan Greenspan: This is 'extremely dangerous':
"On Wednesday, Greenspan decried a rise in entitlement costs, which he contended have pressured the U.S. economy.
"To me the discussion today shouldn't even be on monetary policy it should be on how do we constrain this extraordinary rise in entitlements," he said in a CNBC "Closing Bell" interview, calling the trend "extremely dangerous.""

Bias-Free Language Guide claims the word 'American' is 'problematic'

Bias-Free Language Guide claims the word 'American' is 'problematic':
"“American,” “illegal alien,” “foreigners,” “mothering,” and “fathering” are just a handful of words deemed “problematic” by the University of New Hampshire’s Bias-Free Language Guide.
According to the university’s website, the guide “is meant to invite inclusive excellence in [the] campus community.”
Terms also considered problematic include: “elders,” “senior citizen,” “overweight,” “speech impediment,” “dumb,” “sexual preference,” “manpower,” “freshmen,” “mailman,” and “chairman,” in addition to many others.
The guide defines words such as “homosexual” as “problematic,” offering “Same Gender Loving” as a more inclusive substitute.
Similarly, a lack of gender-neutral bathrooms is, according to the university, “ciscentrism."

Texas Christian University Suspended Student for Saying Dumb Things on Facebook

Texas Christian University Suspended Student for Saying Dumb Things on Facebook - Hit & Run : Reason.com:
"Harry Vincent, a student at Texas Christian University, was disciplined after someone—presumably a non-student—complained to TCU administrators about his comments on social media.
A TCU official then accused Vincent of “infliction of bodily or emotional harm,” instructed him to write a letter explaining how he should be punished, and ultimately suspended him.
Vincent’s sentence extends until graduation.
He is allowed to attend classes in the fall, but may not participate in extracurricular activities.
He must serve 60 hours of community service and take an “Issues in Diversity” course.
He is forbidden from living on campus.
What did Vincent do?
He tweeted some unkind remarks about Baltimore residents and Muslims.
Specifically, he referred to the “hoodrat criminals in Baltimore” and told someone to “chill the fuck out you islamic shit head.”
A Tumblr user named Kelsey, who does not attend TCU, posted screenshots of his comments and implored others to report him to TCU’s Campus Life department.
A number of Tumblr users, including Kelsey herself, did so..."

Coulter’s Challenge

Coulter’s Challenge | Mickey Kaus:
Ann Coulter and Donald Trump Walk Into … : I wasn’t entirely happy when I learned my friend Ann Coulter’s new book was going to be 100% about immigration.
Not because I feared she’d hurt the cause of immigration control — a defensive battle our side has been winning, so far, despite a concerted push by the entire Democratic party, half the Republican party, half (secretly) of the politicians who claim to represent the other half of the Republican party, virtually the entire press (including Fox), virtually all of business, and virtually all big money political donors (including the Kochs!).
It’s just that I’d found my own comfortable, sincere dogma on the subject, and I  worried that she’d upset it, which is what she tends to do.
My party line, in clip and save form, was:
1) The immigrants we get, including illegal Mexicans, are mainly hard-working potential citizens, like waves of immigrants before them;
2) The problem, as Mark Krikorian argues, is that we’ve changed, and the world has changed. We don’t need unskilled labor like we used to. Our native unskilled workers are having trouble earning a living.
3) The main reason to limit immigration flow, then, is to protect wages of Americans who do basic work. We desperately need a tight labor market. We won’t get it as long as millions of people from abroad respond to any tightening by flooding our work force.
4) The most important thing, then, is getting control of that number by securing the border — stopping illegal immigration. Once that’s done we can argue about what the legalnumber should be (and what should be done about current illegals).
5) But if wages are rising,  it could be a reasonably big number! See point 1;
6) There are second-order worries about cultural assimilation, especially the huge flow from Mexico, a nation a day’s drive away many of whose citizens (polls show) don’t acknowledge the legitimacy of our Southern border.
7) One solution is to let in more people from other, non-Mexican cultures — Koreans, Chinese, Africans, Indians, etc.  We want diversity! Ha ha. That joke never gets old.
All in all a nice, relatively safe, liberal restrictionism.
Works for me.
Sure enough, Coulter isn’t buying it.
She goes further.
Much further.
Perhaps too far!
Her book would be incendiary if Donald Trump hadn’t come along and made her look like Desmond Tutu.
Now maybe we can consider her six big points coolly and calmly.
Probably not, of course.
But here they are :..."

LIBERTY REVIEW

LIBERTY REVIEW:

Supreme Instigator

By Tammy Derouin

Our society has been ignoring their gut feelings.  We began to make excuses and tried to rationalize what was happening to us.  Maybe it was because we couldn’t handle the fact that we were being targeted and abused by our very own government.  The people we elected turned against us. Much like being in an abusive relationship, we ignored the signs, covered up what we did see and then made excuses for what we were seeing and could not hide.

It can take time to come to terms with the facts, especially when a trust has been broken. It’s difficult to admit that someone you thought had your best interest in mind actually used his power to undermine your independence and possibly your existence.  If you are a survivor, you come to terms with reality and then you do something about it.  But until we, as a nation, are ready to admit we have a problem, life is only going to get worse.

The Constitution is an annoying obstacle for the executive. It doesn’t give him free will to do what he wants, so he pretends it doesn’t exist.  We have allowed this to happen.  He acts like a king or a dictator rather than a president.  He does not wish to share power with the other branches.  He certainly doesn’t like it when his power is challenged.

We have become too accustomed to the overreach of power by the executive.  We now fear him and the oppressive government we have allowed him to put into place.  We have yet to learn that ignoring his actions will not make them go away.  We should be learning that ignoring such overreaches only makes him stronger.  Many have become targets because they speak out against his actions or work to prevent his party from staying in power.,,

Top-ranked university for LGBTQ students now lets them self-segregate in their own dorm

Top-ranked university for LGBTQ students now lets them self-segregate in their own dorm - The College Fix:
‘A safe space for those people who feel they need it’
One of the most gay-friendly universities in the country is becoming even friendlier, by offering to shelter its LGBTQ students from the rest of the school.
Indiana University-Bloomington is opening a “thematic residence hall” this fall for students who don’t identify as straight men or women.
It will have a particular emphasis on transgender students and those who don’t “subscribe to conventional gender distinctions,” the Herald-Times reported, citing GLBT Student Support Services Office Coordinator Doug Bauder.
...Students who live in the dorm will enjoy opportunities such as forming a delegation to the Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference and attending campus events “such as a campus film screening, guest speaker, Kinsey art exhibit, etc.,” RPS says.
Recent winners in the Kinsey Institute Juried Art Show include an artist who made a “self-portrait” of her own sexual intercourse and climax, and another who designed a wooden sculpture of male genitalia in the posture of a rodeo bull.

Our long national nightmare continues-----TaxProf Blog: The IRS Scandal, Day 809

TaxProf Blog: The IRS Scandal, Day 809:
"Rasmussen Reports, Voters Aren’t Buying Obama’s Story About IRS Scandal:
IRS Logo 2President Obama told comedian Jon Stewart earlier this week that the Internal Revenue Service didn’t target Tea Party and other conservative groups on his watch and that a lack of funding by Congress was to blame for any problems at the tax-collecting agency.
But voters still think something criminal was going on and are even more suspicious of what the president knew about it.
Fifty-two percent (52%) of Likely U.S. Voters continue to believe the IRS broke the law when it targeted the groups, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Just 24% say the IRS didn’t break the law when it went after Tea Party and other conservative groups, while just as many (24%) are not sure."

Drivers, Beware: The Costly, Deadly Dangers of Traffic Stops in the American Police State

Commentary: Drivers, Beware: The Costly, Deadly Dangers of Traffic Stops in the American Police State:
“The Fourth Amendment was designed to stand between us and arbitrary governmental authority.
For all practical purposes, that shield has been shattered, leaving our liberty and personal integrity subject to the whim of every cop on the beat, trooper on the highway and jail official.
The framers would be appalled.”—Herman Schwartz, The Nation

Trying to predict the outcome of any encounter with the police is a bit like playing Russian roulette: most of the time you will emerge relatively unscathed, although decidedly poorer and less secure about your rights, but there’s always the chance that an encounter will turn deadly.
The odds weren’t in Walter L. Scott’s favor.
Reportedly pulled over for a broken taillight, Scott—unarmed—ran away from the police officer, who pursued and shot him from behind, first with a Taser, then with a gun.
Scott was struck five times, “three times in the back, once in the upper buttocks and once in the ear — with at least one bullet entering his heart.”
Samuel Dubose, also unarmed, was pulled over for a missing front license plate.
He was reportedly shot in the head after a brief struggle in which his car began rolling forward.
Levar Jones was stopped for a seatbelt offense, just as he was getting out of his car to enter a convenience store.
Directed to show his license, Jones leaned into his car to get his wallet, only to be shot four times by the “fearful” officer.
Jones was also unarmed..."

Yes Virginia, there is a liar.....in government-----Mind-Blowing Temperature Fraud At NOAA

Mind-Blowing Temperature Fraud At NOAA | Real Science
The measured US temperature data from USHCN shows that the US is on a long-term cooling trend.
But the reported temperatures from NOAA show a strong warming trend.
ScreenHunter_10009 Jul. 27 12.16
They accomplish this through a spectacular hockey stick of data tampering, which corrupts the US temperature trend by almost two degrees.
ScreenHunter_10008 Jul. 27 12.08
The biggest component of this fraud is making up data. Almost half of all reported US temperature data is now fake. They fill in missing rural data with urban data to create the appearance of non-existent US warming.
ScreenHunter_10010 Jul. 27 12.20
The depths of this fraud is breathtaking, but completely consistent with the fraudulent profession which has become known as “climate science”

Obama Scraps 'Oath Of Allegiance' For Immigrants, But Why He Did It Is Even More Shocking

Obama Scraps 'Oath Of Allegiance' For Immigrants, But Why He Did It Is Even More Shocking:

"Why are we acting like these people have any place in this country? Yes, give us your poor, your tired, your hungry… so long as they want to contribute to the cultural fabric and become an American. Immigrants once created a great nation of makers; now many want to come in as professional takers.
These immigrants who object to the Oath of Allegiance are not coming to the United States to take part; they’re coming to take over.

President Obama’s obliging them."

Pizza Parlor Owners Face Prison Time

Pizza Parlor Owners Face Prison Time | Economics21:
"Pizza makers could face fines and prison time under a new Food and Drug Administration rule for failing to provide calorie counts for their billions of combinations of pizza orders.
Under FDA regulations, chain restaurants, retail stores with 20 or more locations, movie theaters, and vending machines are required to provide calorie information for every menu item.
Pizza parlors will be hit hardest because of the unfathomable combinations of pizza that customers can order.
FDA’s menu labeling rule will go into effect on December 1st, 2016, much to the chagrin of pizza lovers across the nation.
If a company does not perfectly comply with the mandate, food may be rendered “misbranded” under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, a violation that carries criminal penalties.
Failure to comply with the regulation could lead to government seizure of food, a maximum $1,000 fine, and a one-year prison sentence.
A second violation carries a penalty of $10,000 and up to three years in prison..."

Documented Irresponsibility

Documented Irresponsibility | The American Spectator:
"People who entered the United States illegally may be called “undocumented” in politically correct circles, but what is all too well documented is the utter irresponsibility of both political parties in dealing with immigration issues.
Both Democratic and Republican administrations have left the border with Mexico porous for years — porous not just for Mexicans but for anybody else, including terrorists from the Middle East.
Two very different issues have gotten jumbled together in the political stew called “comprehensive immigration reform.”
The first and most fundamental issue is whether we are going to have an immigration policy at all.
The second issue is: Just what should that immigration policy be?
If we do not control our own border, then we do not have any immigration policy.
We may have immigration laws on the books, but if anybody can cross the border that wants to, those laws are just words on paper and a bad joke.
Polls showing the surprisingly favorable reactions of some Republican voters to Donald Trump’s irresponsible generalities about immigrants probably reflect many people’s frustrations with politicians’ weasel words on the subject, and politicians’ failure to do anything about a festering problem..."

Fake but true......Important read!-----How an Influential Campus Rape Study Skewed the Debate

How an Influential Campus Rape Study Skewed the Debate - Hit & Run : Reason.com
The public debate over the extent and causes of the campus sexual assault crisis is fraught with misleading information.
The previously acclaimed work of psychologist David Lisak deserves that distinction as well.
The federal government, universities, and members of Congress have all used Lisak’s theories to justify rape adjudication policies that are biased against accused students.
They should reconsider those policies in light of new discoveries about the inapplicability of Lisak’s work.
Lisak has cultivated a reputation as one of the nation’s foremost authorities on sexual assault, and his thinking undergirds the most vexingly anti-due process policies currently mandated by the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights.
His authority on the subject is so uncontested that even critics of draconian anti-rape policies feel obligated to grapple with his assertions, according to Slate’s Emily Yoffe, who described Lisak’s work as foundational "in the movement to curb campus sexual assault."
...The 2002 Lisak study that supposedly makes that case—"Repeat Rape and Multiple Offending Among Undetected Rapists"—is fundamental to the activist campaign to reduce campus rape.
But despite the study’s prominence, its assertions about the serial nature of campus rapists are dubiously sourced, according to a thorough investigation conducted by Reason contributor Linda LeFauve.
The study pooled data from four separate surveys of interpersonal violence that were conducted at the University of Massachusetts-Boston during the ‘90s, at which time Lisak was employed as an associate professor.
Lisak’s study had a total sample size of 1,882 men, 120 of whom gave responses in the surveys indicating that they were predators.
Of the 120 rapists, 76 were judged to be repeat offenders, leading to the oft-cited claim that the majority of campus sexual assault is the work of serial predators who remain "undetected," i.e., are never convicted for their crimes.
The claim suffers when scrutinized.
For reasons left unclear, the four surveys that contributed data are never actually identified in the study.
In fact, Lisak struggled to recall which ones he used when asked about them during the course of a telephone interview with LeFauve.
When LeFauve suggested to him that the data in question came from his doctoral students’ dissertations and masters’ theses, he agreed that this was "probably" the case.
...None of which is to say that the campus rape crisis is made up. Women are assaulted on college campuses all the time. But if we want to do anything to stop this, we might look for solutions outside the lens of a study that was never about campus violence in the first place.

“Transit Police followed normal procedure, which is — after police collect pertinent information, juveniles are transported to police headquarters to await release to a parent or legal guardian,” the statement said.
However, a crowd reportedly surrounded the police cruiser within minutes and “attempted to remove the juvenile from the car, police said.
