WASHINGTON -- Medicare paid $30 million for ambulance rides for which no record exists that patients got medical care at their destination, the place where they were picked up or other critical information.
The mystery ambulance rides are part of a bigger problem with Medicare payments for transporting patients, according to a federal audit being released Tuesday.
The Department of Health and Human Services' inspector general's office also found that some urban ambulance services got paid for an average distance of more than 100 miles per ride. 
That contrasts with a national average of just 10 miles for urban ambulance rides.
Four major metro areas seemed to be breeding grounds for ambulance schemes. Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York and Houston accounted for about half of the questionable rides and payments.
...Across the country, 1 in 5 ambulance companies had at least some questionable billings.
"Medicare payments for ambulance transports have increased in recent years, and investigators have uncovered a variety of fraud schemes involving ambulance suppliers," the report said..."

Now the federal government could be making the same mistake with trans-fat.
...But a study published last week in the European Heart Journal found that low levels of artificial trans-fat didn't appear to pose a health risk, while naturally occurring trans-fat could help protect the heart.
As one of the study's authors noted, "it is a fairly common phenomenon: Some things are toxic at high levels, but we can live with them at low levels."

Turning Point

The American flag is a symbol of freedom and at one time, a symbol of unwavering strength.  I truly hope we are just dealing with a temporary ailment.  We ignored some very important signs because we didn’t want to face reality.  Much like knowing something is internally wrong but putting off going to the doctor because you don’t want confirmation.  For a time, it’s easier to live in a world of make believe.  By not facing reality, you somehow convince yourself that everything is just fine.

There comes a turning point.  You can no longer ignore the cold, hard evidence.  You eventually come to the conclusion that life is worth the upcoming battle.  It’s better to know the truth so you know how to fight the disease which has infected your body.  You hope it’s not too late as you begin to ask, why did I wait so long?

Our once healthy, vibrant nation has been infected with a life-threatening disease.  Some noticed signs right away but wanted to give the benefit of the doubt.  After all, the fundamental transformation of America, in true transparency, is really difficult to comprehend.  Some are still coming to the realization that something is wrong, while others are still stuck in denial.

Probably the most difficult aspect is realizing it was a self-inflicted disease.  We all bear a certain amount of responsibility.  We didn’t pay attention and assumed those we elected had our best interests in mind.  We voted without asking questions and allowed the press to be the enabler.  They should have exposed questionable signs but instead they twisted it into a pretty picture or buried it altogether. We went against our better judgment when something didn’t make sense. Sometimes the wait-and-see strategy only makes things worse...

Among the attendees were televangelists Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, conservative evangelical Christian Pastor David Jeremiah, TBN religious broadcaster Jan Crouch, Pastor Paula White, Jews For Jesus Rabbi Kirt Schneider and Pastor Darrell Scott.

The meeting lasted roughly two and a half hours and ended with pastors gathering around Trump and laying their hands on him in prayer. Kenneth Copeland, Paula White, and Rabbi Schneider prayed during that time, asking the Lord to give the GOP presidential frontrunner wisdom, stability and knowledge necessary to pursue this endeavor. They also prayed for America and for God's will to be done.

"We must not and we will not be confused in our fight against ISIL," Kerry said, before repeating assurances made by President Obama to Vladimir Putin earlier this week: "If Russia’s recent actions and those now ongoing reflect a genuine commitment to defeat [the Islamic State], we are prepared to welcome those efforts and find a way to deconflict and therefore multiply our efforts."

The U.S. is not just being defeated in Iraq and Syria.
It is being humiliated.
On Sunday, the administration was taken by surprise for the umpteenth time when Russia, Iraq, Iran, and Syria announced an agreement, ostensibly to share intelligence about ISIS.
This is part of a widening role for Russia in the region, Moscow having already established a new airbase to go along with its existing naval base in Syria.
It is also a sign that Iraq is getting pulled further into the Russia-Syria-Iran axis — a new Axis of Evil — that is far more determined to keep Bashar Assad’s murderous regime in power than it is to fight ISIS.
It is telling that Russia has started drone surveillance flights in Syria over areas controlled not by ISIS but by other rebel groups. 
In fact the more this Axis keeps Assad in place, the stronger that ISIS gets because ISIS feeds off the understandable resentment that ordinary Sunnis feel towards a regime that has been responsible for the vast majority of the killing in a conflict that has claimed over 225,000 lives.
...While Russia appears to be purposeful in pursuing an amoral, anti-Western policy, the U.S. looks simply lost, bewildered, defeated. 
It’s not clear what policy the U.S. is pursuing anymore:
Are we for or against Assad?
For or against Iran?
All we know for sure is that we are against ISIS but that we are not doing much to “degrade” and “destroy” it, as the president claimed a year ago. In fact the latest intelligence estimates suggest that it is drawing in more than 1,000 foreign fighters a month, more than replenishing its losses from U.S. air strikes.
I cannot remember a more confused or dispiriting moment in American foreign policy since the 1970s."

(Infowars) – Shocking images out of a classroom in Jacksonville, Florida illustrate how 11-12 year olds in 6th grade are being taught how to use strap-on dildos amidst a debate about Common Core sex education standards which have been attacked by some as pornographic.
The pictures were taken by a student with a cellphone camera.
They show a teacher demonstrating how to use a strap-on sex toy in a number of different positions.
In one image, the teacher even shows how to insert the strap-on while her buttocks are in the air and her legs up over her head.
In another image, the woman shows the children how to wear a harness to which the strap-on is attached.
Clinton Middle School in Duval County hired 39-year-old Sharon Mercer to teach the sex education class but after the photos emerged she was suspended and the school refused further comment. Mercer claimed her suspension was an act of “bigotry” because she was a “proud member of the LGBTQ community.”
Newly implemented Common Core educational standards have been assailed for their attempt to create a lowest common denominator form of teaching which many assert only works to dumb down lessons and prevent smart students from excelling, but these images give a glimpse into an even darker side to the federally mandated rules..."

Hillary’s 2008 presidential run cost her $13 million.
Their two homes cost a combined $5 million, and the Clintons have given away $22 million to charity.
All of this is according to FEC filings, property records and years of tax returns.
Add it up and you get $135 million.
If the Clintons made $230 million, spent $135 million and have just $45 million left over, what happened to the other $50 million?
