Columbia University student Nissy Aya claims she suffered severe trauma from reading too many books by and about white people.

The Daily Caller reported:

A student at Columbia University is urging the school to inject more diversity into its required courses, claiming she suffered severe emotional trauma from reading too many books by and about white people. 

Columbia students and faculty gathered Wednesday night for a panel discussion on “Race, Ethnicity, and University Life.” 

According to the Columbia Daily Spectator, much of the commentary revolved around the idea that minorities on campus simply spend too much time being traumatized by the white-centric content of their classes.

One of the panelists at the event was black Columbia student Nissy Aya. Aya was supposed to graduate in 2014, but instead is only on track to receive her degree in 2016. 
That, Aya says, demonstrates “how hard it has been for me to get through this institution,” though it’s worth noting she is an exceptional case, as Columbia has one of the highest four-year graduation rates in the country.

While not in class, Nissy Aya is an enthusiastic race activist.
Her Twitter feed is littered with comments on racial struggle and activism.

I’M NOT SURPRISED: Anonymous Yik Yak threat to “shoot every black person I can on campus” was made by . . . wait for it . . . a black student. 
His name is Emmanuel Bowden and he’s been arrested on a single charge of making a false report of a threat of terrorism.

This kind of thing is happening a lot these days.

Emily Faz, a senior at the public university, shared a November 14 Washington Times article on Monday that reported on how some Mizzou protesters and Black Lives Matter activists were upset that the Paris attacks were stealing the media spotlight.

In what appears to be a first for a serious presidential contender, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is going after five comedians who made fun of the former Secretary of State in standup skits at a popular Hollywood comedy club.

A video of the short performance, which is less than three minutes, is posted on the website of the renowned club, Laugh Factory, and the Clinton campaign has tried to censor it. Besides demanding that the video be taken down, the Clinton campaign has demanded the personal contact information of the performers that appear in the recording. This is no laughing matter for club owner Jamie Masada, a comedy guru who opened Laugh Factory more than three decades ago and has been instrumental in launching the careers of many famous comics. “They threatened me,” Masada told Judicial Watch. “I have received complains before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don’t cut the video.”

Practically all of the country’s most acclaimed comedians have performed at the Laugh Factory and undoubtedly they have offended politicians and other well-known personalities with their standup routines. Tim Allen, Jay Leno, Roseanne Bar, Drew Carey, George Carlin, Jim Carrey, Martin Lawrence, Jerry Seinfeld and George Lopez are among the big names that have headlined at the Laugh Factory. The First Amendment right to free speech is a crucial component of the operation, though Masada drew the line a few years ago banning performers—including African Americans—from using the “n-word” in their acts.

The five short performances that Clinton wants eliminated include some profanity and portions could be considered crass, but some of the lines are funny and that’s what the Laugh Factory is all about. The video features the individual acts of five comedians, four men and a woman. The skits make fun of Clinton’s wardrobe, her age, sexual orientation, the Monica Lewinsky scandal and the former First Lady’s relationship with her famous husband. The Laugh Factory has appropriately titled it “Hillary vs. The First Amendment.”

Masada told Judicial Watch that, as soon as the video got posted on the Laugh Factory website, he received a phone call from a “prominent” person inside Clinton’s campaign. “He said the video was disgusting and asked who put me up to this,” Masada said. The Clinton staffer, who Masada did not want to identify, also demanded to know the names and phone numbers of the comedians that appear in the video. Masada refused and hung up. He insists that the comedy stage is a sanctuary for freedom of speech no matter who is offended. “Just last night we had (Emmy-award winner) Dana Carvey doing Donald Trump and it was hilarious,” Masada said.

U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Russia’s recent disclosure of a nuclear-armed underwater drone submarine was a deliberate leak, according to analysis of Russian video news reports and official Moscow statements.

The Russian government-aligned NTV television station revealed a secret document during a Nov. 10 broadcast of remarks by President Vladimir Putin criticizing U.S. missile defenses.

The document shown during the broadcast revealed images of the drone submarine, including its nuclear warhead and nuclear power plant and two larger submarines used to transport it.

U.S. officials who analyzed the video said the timing of the Russian leader’s comments about missile defenses and the disclosure of the drone submarine strongly suggests that the leak was intentional.

Officials said that based on official statements from Moscow, the leaking of the nuclear drone submarine appeared to be part of nuclear saber-rattling and Russian information operations designed to dissuade the United States from deploying missile defenses in Europe that Russia opposes.

A CIA spokesman declined to comment.

"The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Power Plan doesn’t justify its costs according to testimony before the House Science, Space, and Technology committee Wednesday.
“When the actual benefits are compared to the costs, the Clean Power Plan is not a good purchase” said Dr. Anne Smith, a senior vice president and environmental practice co-chair for NERA Economic Consulting.
“EPA asserts that the Clean Power Plan will help combat climate change.
However, EPA’s own data demonstrates that claim is false.
EPA administrator Gina McCarthy testified before this committee and agreed that this rule would have a ‘minimal’ impact on climate. 
In fact, their data shows that this rule would reduce sea-level rise by only 1-100th of an inch, the thickness of only three sheets of paper” said Lamar Smith, chairman of the committee, during the hearing.
The Clean Power Plan is expected to cost a staggering $41 billion annually.
Yet, the plan likely won’t have a large impact on global warming.
According to analysis by the libertarian Cato Institute using models created by the EPA, the Clean Power Plan will only advert 0.019° Celsius of warming by the year 2100, an amount so small it can’t be detected."
