The Disgusting Evolution Of Obama From 2008 To Today | The Federalist Papers

The Disgusting Evolution Of Obama From 2008 To Today | The Federalist Papers:

"After it was concluded that Russia attempted to interfere in the United States election, spreading “fake news” about Hillary Clinton, leaking scandalous emails and allegations about the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama’s response was to increase sanctions and toss 35 Russian diplomats from the country.

Remember: Russia didn’t “hack” the election, as leftists claim. There was zero evidence that they managed to change a single vote. Whether or not their attempted campaign was successful may never be know."

In 1993, novelist Michael Crichton riled the news business with a Wired magazine essay titled “Mediasaurus,” in which he prophesied the death of the mass media—specifically the New York Times and the commercial networks. “Vanished, without a trace,” he wrote.

The mediasaurs had about a decade to live, he wrote, before technological advances—”artificial intelligence agents roaming the databases, downloading stuff I am interested in, and assembling for me a front page”—swept them under. Shedding no tears, Crichton wrote that the shoddy mass media deserved its deadly fate.

“[T]he American media produce a product of very poor quality,” he lectured. “Its information is not reliable, it has too much chrome and glitz, its doors rattle, it breaks down almost immediately, and it’s sold without warranty. It’s flashy but it’s basically junk.”

* * * * * * * * *

As we pass his prediction’s 15-year anniversary, I’ve got to declare advantage Crichton. Rot afflicts the newspaper industry, which is shedding staff, circulation, and revenues. It’s gotten so bad in newspaperville that some people want Google to buy the Times and run it as a charity! Evening news viewership continues to evaporate, and while the mass media aren’t going extinct tomorrow, Crichton’s original observations about the media future now ring more true than false. Ask any journalist.

In his own way, Trump has set us free. Reporters must treat Inauguration Day as a kind of Liberation Day to explore news outside the usual Washington circles. He has been explicit in his disdain for the press and his dislike for press conferences, prickly to the nth degree about being challenged and known for his vindictive way with those who cross him. So, forget about the White House press room. It’s time to circle behind enemy lines.

Washington reporting has long depended on a transactional relationship between sources and journalists. Journalists groom sources, but sources also groom journalists. There’s nothing inherently unethical about the back-scratching. When a reporter calls an administration source to confirm an embarrassing item, the source may agree to confirm as long as the reporter at the very least agrees to listen sympathetically to the administration’s context. But Trump’s hostile attitude toward the press, his dismissal of CNN for attempting to ask a question at the last conference, and his underhanded ploy at the last conference where he loaded the audience with cheerleaders has muted that mutualism. It’s easy to predict that instead of negotiating with reporters as equals, his administration will advance its agenda by feeding more pliant reporters material the way a trainer rewards circus animals.

Just think of the MSM as Democrat operatives, and it all makes sense – not least of which, their extended hibernation between November of 2008 and November of 2016."

Was Hillary Clinton's Nomination Legitimate? Six Reasons to Say No - Breitbart:

"Democrats are consoling themselves by claiming Donald Trump’s election is illegitimate, but they’ll do themselves and the nation a favor if they consider their own faults — including the top-to-bottom corruption in their own party and political strategy. "

"In this video, Project Veritas investigators uncover a group known as the DC Anti-fascist Coalition plotting to disrupt President-Elect Donald Trump’s inauguration by deploying butyric acid at the National Press Club during the Deploraball event scheduled for January 19th.
The meeting, captured on hidden camera, was held at Comet Ping Pong, a DC pizza restaurant that is better known as the location of the Pizzagate controversy.

The coalition members discuss the steps they would need to take to halt the Deploraball event.
Project Veritas notified the FBI, Secret Service and DC Metro Police of the content of this video prior to its release.

Je suis Charlie? Then challenge the Islamophobia industry

Je suis Charlie? Then challenge the Islamophobia industry | Brendan O’Neill | spiked:
"The accusation of ‘Islamophobia’ is designed to strangle critical thinking.
Image result for islamc murdersIf Europe really wants to pay tribute to the journalists and cartoonists massacred in Paris last week, it could do worse than ditch the term ‘Islamophobia’
For this empty, cynical, elitist phrase, this multicultural conceit, has done an untold amount to promote the idea that ridiculing other people’s beliefs and cultures is a bad thing.
In fact, the widely used but little thought-on i-word has pathologised the very act of making a judgement.
It has turned the totally legitimate conviction that some belief systems are inferior to others into a swirling, irrational fear — a phobia — worthy of condemnation and maybe even investigation by officials.
...Never has the disconnect between the claims of the Islamophobia industry and the reality on the ground in Europe been as starkly exposed as over the past week.
The blood on the floor of Charlie Hebdo’s offices was still wet when, moving on with callous speed from worrying about the terrible fate of 10 journalists, the respectable media started fretting about the danger now faced by European Muslims.
We should all fear ‘the coming Islamophobic backlash’, said one hack..."

Six False Accusations by John Lewis, Hero-Turned-Hack

Six False Accusations by John Lewis, Hero-Turned-Hack:

"He is also one of the most partisan members of the Democratic Party, and frequently accuses his political opponents, falsely, of racism.
Lewis also uses his iconic stature to deflect criticism when he is called out for these false attacks, exploiting — and, arguably, demeaning — the civil rights movement.

Here are five of the worst recent examples of what has become, for Rep. Lewis, a shamefully routine practice."

BC prof blames 'white heterosexual male privilege' for Trump win

BC prof blames 'white heterosexual male privilege' for Trump win
"A Boston College professor contends that Donald Trump’s election victory was predetermined by an electoral system designed to perpetuate “white heterosexual male privilege.”
Prof. Janet Elms clarifies, however, that she does not believe individual racism is to blame, tracing Trump's win instead to institutions put in place for the purpose of perpetuating WHMP, like the Electoral College..
“White heterosexual male privilege (WHMP) fought for and won the election of 2016,” professor Janet Elms of BC’s Lynch School of Education argues in an article posted on the school’s website. “White heterosexual men have won a rigged competition whose rules their white forefathers determined and passed on to subsequent generations to maintain and enhance.”
Elms explains heterosexual manhood as “a privileged status that men enjoy because they are born male rather than female,” adding that “the power to control society’s resources and determine the rules for competing for them is considered to be men’s birthright.”
According to Elms, “President-elect Donald Trump is the privileged white male personified” whose “angry promises to ‘Make America Great Again,’ based on scapegoating of his political adversaries and longstanding victims of government policies, made white heterosexual men and the WHMP-benefiting women feel safe again...”

EPA Says It Won't Pay Up On Gold King Mine Spill | The Daily Caller

EPA Says It Won't Pay Up On Gold King Mine Spill | The Daily Caller:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced Friday that federal law does not require the agency to pay more damages incurred after a massive toxic water spill in Colorado caused by an agency employee.
EPA is not mandated under federal law to repay $1.2 billion to the states affected by the Gold King Mine spill, the Department of Justice (DOJ) supposedly told the agency. The spill caused 3 million gallons of dangerous metals like lead, cadmium and arsenic into the Animas River...
It’s move to invoke the age-old immunity measure for protection comes on the heels of the DOJ’s October decision not to charge the EPA employee involved in causing the spill..."

Worst. President. Ever: Obama's Failed Stimulus

Worst. President. Ever: Obama's Failed Stimulus:
"When running for the office of the Presidency, Barack Obama pledged to be transparent and provide all Americans the opportunity to read all government bills before being signed.
This promise ended a few weeks after his inauguration.
The ‘Stimulus’ bill was prepared behind closed doors by Democrats only.  It was passed in the House and Senate by Democrats with no Republican input.
Once instituted it was a US financial nightmare and another trillion dollar debt laid on American taxpayers’ backs.
...The Stimulus was horrible and ultimately turned out to be a Democrat scam to hand out billions to fellow Democrats..."

Congress revives 140-year-old rule that has federal workers in fear - good!

Congress revives 140-year-old rule that has federal workers in fear - good!:

"Over two million people are employed by the federal government, and too many of them have enjoyed unprecedented levels of job security even when they’ve failed at their duties. This undue protection has bloated the federal budget, and the new Congress aims to trim the fat by revising a rule started a decade after the Civil War.
The Holman Rule, adopted in 1876 as a means to control the booming national debt post-war, gives lawmakers the power to target wasteful programs, spending, and has also been used to eliminate individual federal employees or groups of employees."

The Disgusting Evolution Of Obama From 2008 To Today

The Disgusting Evolution Of Obama From 2008 To Today | The Federalist Papers
Robert Gehl asks, so just how political was Barack Obama’s response to Russia’s attempt to mess with the November election?
One has to compare the reaction to the event to a similar “cyber-event” to gauge whether or not the White House’s response was partisan.
After it was concluded that Russia attempted to interfere in the United States election, spreading “fake news” about Hillary Clinton, leaking scandalous emails and allegations about the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama’s response was to increase sanctions and toss 35 Russian diplomats from the country.
Remember: Russia didn’t “hack” the election, as leftists claim. There was zero evidence that they managed to change a single vote. Whether or not their attempted campaign was successful may never be know.
It’s a big deal, but so was the 2015 Chinese hack of the Office of Personnel Management. Directed by the Chinese government, the data breach resulted in the stolen personnel records of more than 21 million Americans.
So what was Obama’s reaction to that?
Nothing.
To wit, The Daily Wire draws our attention to an exchange between ABC’s Jonathan Karl and White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest:
KARL: “So when the Chinese hacked OPM in 2015, 21+ million current and former government employees and contractors had their personal records stolen by the Chinese. Why did the White House do nothing publicly in reaction to that hack? Which in some ways, was even more widespread than what we saw here from the Russians?”
EARNEST: “I think that what we’ve seen is that these are two cyber incidents that are malicious in nature, but materially different...”

Weekly Update: New Border Terror Threat? - Judicial Watch

Weekly Update: New Border Terror Threat? - Judicial Watch:

"California-DC Corruption Connection

I’ve often observed that, when it comes to public policy, the Obama Justice Department has been a locus of evil.  And therefore it was concerning to see that the man who ran that Obama agency for years, the disgraced Eric Holder, has gotten himself a new, government-related gig.  On January 4 liberal California legislative leaders announced that they are using tax dollars to hire former Attorney General Eric Holder and his law firm to assist them in anticipated federal challenges to several state policies such as climate change and immigration.  Leftists controlling the Democratic Party are especially concerned that a new Trump administration might actually start enforcing the rule of law against California’s dangerous and unlawful sanctuary policies.  Evidently, Eric Holder will waste taxpayer funds defending this lawlessness."

Drug testing floated for White House press corps

Drug testing floated for White House press corps | Page Six:
"One proposal on dealing with the media that was pitched to President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team calls for drug testing the White House press corps.
Trump’s attacks on the mainstream media were a cornerstone of his campaign and last week he called BuzzFeed a “failing pile of garbage,” but forcing reporters to undergo random drug tests would provoke a media meltdown.
The pee-in-a-cup proposal (yellow journalism indeed) was one of 13 ideas one candidate for White House press secretary wrote in November in a confidential memo to members of the Presidential Transition Team’s Executive Committee.
“Journalists who are at the White House more than one day per week should be subject to drug screenings to occur no more than twice a year at random times,” the memo states.
“Refusal to comply should exclude them from credentialing entirely.”
The job applicant also proposed taking away the right of the White House Correspondents’ Association to control reporters’ seating arrangements in the press briefing room..."
