Sure, you might have seen a few of them on television at 12th and L Street, throwing rocks at police officers and sending two of them to the hospital. But they were everywhere else in force, and TV cameras did show many of them.

Democrats in Congress hoping to slow down Trump’s agenda should be thankful television cameras didn’t capture what my camera did below. There’s nothing that could frighten Middle America much more than the sights, sounds, and even smells of the anti-Trump Left that prowled Washington, D.C., today.

Vulgarity was on full display in the anti-Trump crowd. I left the country for Obama’s inauguration in 2009, but I’m pretty sure there weren’t people walking around with McCain pins and “Fuck Obama” t-shirts. All those lessons about civility down the drain, it seems.

...The angry feminists were out in force. There were more signs talking about “PUSSY” than on the Reeperbahn. Pussy this, pussy that, all held up by women no less. Aging unkempt women wore pink hats they knitted called “Pussyhats” in twisted solidarity.

It wasn’t just “pussy” these anti-Trump women were obsessed with. One twenty-something passed me by mumbling and grumbling about the Washington monument -- “it’s so phallic, so damn phallic.” No doubt a graduate of an elite university.

...Then there were the aimless niche Leftists. Save our water. Save our land. A costumed Uncle Sam pleading for Donald Trump not to rape him.

...The Left indoctrinates their children with far more zeal than conservative families. Ideology replaces theology in many instances. Naturally, children were used as props all around.

"When you read a science report claiming that 2016 was the hottest year on record, you might expect that you will get numbers. 
And you would be wrong.
They say that mathematics is the language of science, which is a way of saying that science is quantitative.
It is moved forward by numbers and measurements, not just by qualitative observations.
“It seems hot out” is not science.
Giving a specific temperature, measured by a specific process at a specific time, compared to other systematically gathered measurements—that is science.
So when you read an article proclaiming that, for the third year in a row, last year was the hottest year on record, you might expect that right up front you will get numbers, measurements, and a statistical margin of error.
You know, science stuff. Numbers.
Quantities.
Mathematics.
And you would be wrong.
I just got done combing through a New York Times report titled, “Earth Sets a Temperature Record for the Third Straight Year.”
The number of relevant numbers in this article is: zero.
...It wasn’t just the New York Times.
Try finding the relevant numbers ready at hand in the NASA/NOAA press release.
You get numbers comparing 2016’s temperature with “the mid-20th century mean” or “the late 19th century.”
But there’s nothing comparing it to last year or the year before except qualitative descriptions.
So the government’s science bureaucracy is setting the trend, making reporters dig for the relevant numbers rather than presenting them up front.
It’s almost like they’re hiding something. 
And that is indeed what we find. 
I finally tracked down an exception to this reporting trend: the UK newspaper The Independent gives us the relevant numbers..."

• First is the New York Times hit piece on Trump's pick for Energy Secretary, Rick Perry. It claimed that until days after Perry accepted the job, he "knew almost nothing about" the fact that a key function of the Energy Department is the stewardship of the nation's nuclear arsenal. The story spread like wildfire, with journalists falling over each other to tweet out clever Perry put downs. What was the Times' alarming claim based on? Nothing more than a twisted interpretation of a single quote from one person: Michael McKenna, a Republican energy lobbyist who was canned form the Trump transition team before Perry was picked. McKenna himself has since said the Times misinterpreted what he said. ..The story was so egregiously wrong that even the liberal New York magazine took the Times to task for spreading a false rumor.

• Just days before, CNN ran a hit piece on Rep. Tom Price — Trump's pick to head the Health and Human Services Department — for supposedly engaging in insider trading last year. A "bombshell" story published on Tuesday — titled "First on CNN: Trump's pick invested in company, then introduced a bill to help it" — said Price had bought as much as $15,000 worth of shares in Zimmer Biomet (ZBH), a company that makes knee and hip replacements. Then, the story goes, he introduced the HIP Act, which would have delayed an ObamaCare regulation that would, if implemented, hurt Zimmer Biomet and other device makers. This, CNN reporter Manu Raju asserted, raised "new concerns among ethics experts that Price may have inappropriately used inside information while purchasing shares in a company." "When you look at the timeline, this raises significant questions," CNN's Erin Burnett said about the story. Sen. Charles Schumer responded to the CNN report with a call to delay Price's confirmation hearings until the congressional ethics office does a "thorough investigation." It's not as though this sort of self-dealing hasn't gone on in Washington. Peter Schweizer's 2011 book, "Throw Them All Out," was full of such examples, including lucrative stock trades by Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and other prominent Democrats. Schweizer's book led to the STOCK Act in 2012, which tried to combat insider trading by lawmakers.
