Freedom and Liberty

By Tammy Derouin

It's a new day. There is optimism that the damage intentionally inflicted upon our country by a traitorous former president and his equally traitorous administration will be reversed, mended and healed. We finally stood up to the evil which had infiltrated our government and kicked it out the door. Four years was too much. Eight years of "hope and change" was paving a way to self-destruction as many Americans began to believe the propaganda being churned out by the Left. But, a second administration of unconscionable corruption and anti-American policies would have truly been suicide.

The flag seems a little brighter and waves a little higher as we begin reversing our course and moving our country back to center. We will attempt to right the wrongs committed against the American people and our homeland. The corrective course will only work if we follow the guide, brilliantly drafted, by our founding fathers.

The U.S. Constitution is a document of liberty and freedom. It was designed to restrain the government as a whole, as well as the individual branches, preventing any one entity from becoming too powerful. It protects the people and the individual states from a federal overreach of power. But, our Constitution is only as strong as the people demand its enforcement.........

Queen's chaplain resigns over cathedral Koran reading row saying he has a 'duty' to defend Christianity

A chaplain to the Queen has resigned after publicly criticising a church that allowed a Koran reading during its service as part of an interfaith project. The Rev Gavin Ashenden, who until this week was one of the 33 special chaplains to the Queen, said the reading was “a fairly serious error” and one which he had a duty to speak out about. “There are things we should not tolerate because they are destructive,” he told BBC Radio 4’s Sunday programme.“I don’t accept the rather feeble accusation that intolerance is a bad thing.”

During a service at St Mary's Episcopal in Glasgow earlier this month to mark the feast of the Epiphany, there was a reading of a passage from the Koran which said that Jesus was not the son of God.
When first reading about this I instantly thought of life imitating art, as in the old "Not The Nine O'clock News" sketch, "The Devil - Is He All Bad?"

They nearly got it right too, except for the "Pope not being Too Keen" bit. But I very much doubt that when it was made, Pope John Paul II would have been too keen.

Devastated That Trump Is President? You May Have a Dangerous Reliance on the State

Devastated That Trump Is President? You May Have a Dangerous Reliance on the State | The Daily Sheeple:
"The inauguration is behind us now, but many – millions, it seems – are still immersed in fear, anguish, and grief over the reality of President Donald Trump.
#NotMyPresident is still a very active hashtag on Twitter.
People are already calling for impeachment, claiming Trump’s presidency is “illegitimate”.
Celebrities (I refuse to mention them by name here and give them more attention) are still using their platforms to express anger, disappointment, and distress over the Trump presidency.
Protests continue, and people are venting and ranting and arguing on social media.
But maybe – just maybe – the widespread frustration and despair over the election outcome is unnecessary.
...But I believe it is time to let the shock of the election inspire something positive – true action.
Perhaps the time for lamentation has passed, and it is now time to DO the things we can to make our world a better place.
In other words, I believe that we are responsible for our own lives, and that shifting focus to what we CAN control is a much healthier and beneficial approach than continuing down a path of despair.
So, I have a question for those who are in panic mode right now and think Trump is going to ruin everything…
If you are devastated about who the president is, do you think it might be a sign that you rely on – or even worship – the State just a bit too much?..."

Judge Nap: Obamacare Order 'Truly Revolutionary,' Exactly What Trump Promised | Fox News Insider:

"Judge Andrew Napolitano said this morning that President Donald Trump's executive order on Obamacare - issued Friday right after he was inaugurated - was "truly revolutionary."

The Fox News senior judicial analyst said the executive order instructed government agencies to use "discretion" to side with the individual over the government.

10 Reasons Hamas Should Not Be in Any Government
"Fatah and Hamas have formed a national-unity government following talks in Moscow.
Here’s why that’s a bad idea."
Fatah and Hamas, which control the West Bank and the Gaza Strip respectively, concluded an agreement to form a national unity government.
The Palestinian Authority, which is the official body that rules the Palestinian-controlled areas, as per the Oslo Accords, will now begin the process of forming a new national council. The P.A. president is Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas.
Hamas and Fatah also announced they will hold elections that will include members of the Palestinian diaspora. Elections were last held in 2007.
“We have reached agreement under which, within 48 hours, we will call on [Palestinian Authority President] Mahmoud Abbas to launch consultations on the creation of a government,” Fatah spokesman Azzam al-Ahmad told media.
Here are ten reasons why Hamas is not fit to be part of any government.

Hamas Is A Designated Terrorist Organization
Hamas is a terrorist group and is designated as such by Israel (obviously) but also the United States, the EU, Canada and Japan so this one should come as no surprise.

Hamas Deliberately Targets Civilians
Most recently Hamas praised the string of violent attacks that hit Israel over the past year and half.
In the last Gaza war, Hamas fired thousands of rockets indiscriminately at Israeli civilian areas. “Deliberate targeting of civilians by Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups defies humanity and is morally and legally reprehensible” Israeli left-wing human rights organization B’Tselem said about the last Gaza war..."

The $7 billion school improvement grant program: Greatest failure in the history of the US Department of Education?

"TO BE FAIR, THERE’S A LOT OF COMPETITION. The $7 billion school improvement grant program: Greatest failure in the history of the US Department of Education?
Despite its gargantuan price tag, SIG generated no academic gains for the students it was meant to help. Failing schools that received multi-year grants from the program to “turn around” ended up with results no better than similar schools that received zero dollars from the program. To be clear: Billions spent had no effect.

When Washington spends billions of dollars on something, it’s reasonable to assume it will do some good, especially when the Secretary of Education promises “transformation not tinkering.” But not with SIG.

No matter how the researchers crunched the numbers, the abysmal results were the same. SIG didn’t improve math scores. Or reading scores. Or high school graduation rates. Or college enrollment. SIG didn’t improve elementary or secondary schools. It didn’t help schools in Race-to-the-Top states or non-Race-to-the-Top states.

The results are almost too much to believe.
Oh, you’ll believe them."

Why I am a Woman Who Doesn't Support the Women's March - Trump Truck

Why I am a Woman Who Doesn't Support the Women's March - Trump Truck:

"I am a 23-year-old female, which automically thrusts me into the thriving demographics of “Millenial Feminist.”

However, I do not support feminism or the “Women’s March” that is apparently happening nationwide.

Shocked? A female who is against the very movement to “help” women? Allow me to explain:

Being a woman is not a disadvantage"

Campus free speech quashed

Column: Campus free speech quashed:
"Apparently handing out pocket Constitutions is a crime in the state of Michigan, or at least it is on the campus of Kellogg Community College.
Last fall, security officers at the Battle Creek school arrested students for doing just that.
The students were advocating for the Bill of Rights as officers ironically approached them and shut down their freedom of expression.
But this isn’t an isolated incident.
...At Young Americans for Liberty, I oversee cases similar to the one at Kellogg Community College on a daily basis.
The incident at Kellogg reflects a larger battle across the United States, and that’s why we’ve taken this case to federal court.
College speech codes like the one found at Kellogg Community College almost never hold up in court.
Their vague nature opens the floodgates for bureaucratic handling that more often than not results in bias administration.
This often means discriminating against unfavorable opinions in pursuit of the personal agendas of college administrators.
These policies enable some of the gravest violations of the First Amendment on America’s young minds.
These speech codes rob America’s youth of freedom of thought and intellectual development..."
