Spot the difference: CNN vs. Breitbart edition
Two articles, one in CNN and one in Breitbart.  Can anyone spot the difference?
A police officer was stabbed in the back and neck Wednesday at an airport in Flint, Michigan, and the suspect is in custody and being questioned, according to authorities.
The FBI said it believed the attack was an "isolated incident" and is investigating whether it was an act of terrorism.
"We are aware of reports that the attacker made statements immediately prior to or while attacking the officer, but it is too early to determine the nature of these alleged statements or whether or not this was an act of terrorism," the FBI said.
Officer stabbed in Michigan by man yelling "Allahu Akbar"
Why would CNN leave out what the stabber actually said in the article plus the person's race?
CBS radio also is not saying what the person said or his name and saying it is impossible to tell if it is terrorism.
Somehow, the other day, when a white person drove a truck into Muslims in London, the media were immediately able to declare it terrorism and say the driver's race.  Isn't that amazing?
I am not a law enforcement officer or a reporter, but my deep analysis of the situation leads me to conclude that the stabbing was a terrorist attack done in the name of Islam.
Why don't the media report what they know instead of intentionally keeping certain information from the public?"

Image result for free clip art Empty"As news outlets dissect every new crumb in the alleged Trump-Russia-collusion scandal, they're largely ignoring other, very troubling scandals that happen to involve the previous administration.

So far, and no doubt to the disappointment of many Trump haters, the Russia scandal has been going nowhere fast. Eleven months of investigating has so far turned up no hard evidence that there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia to interfere with the November elections.

While that scandal drags on, however, several others have taken surprising turns. Not that you'd know it from the coverage these are getting from the mainstream press."

Home Improvement Chains Accused of False Advertising Over Lumber Dimensions - Slashdot

Home Improvement Chains Accused of False Advertising Over Lumber Dimensions - Slashdot:
"per unit analyzer writes:
According to Consumerist, an attorney has filed a class-action lawsuit charging Home Depot (PDF) and Menards (PDF) with deceptive advertising practices by selling "lumber products that were falsely advertised and labeled as having product dimensions that were not the actual dimensions of the products sold."
Image result for kill all the lawyersNow granted, this may be news to the novice DIYer, but overall most folks who are purchasing lumber at home improvement stores know that the so-called trade sizes don't match the actual dimensions of the lumber.
Do retailers need to educate naive consumers about every aspect of the items they sell?
(Especially industry quirks such as this...)
Furthermore, as the article notes, it's hard to see how the plaintiffs have been damaged when these building materials are compatible with the construction of the purchaser's existing buildings. i.e.,
An "actual" 2x4 would not fit in a wall previously built with standard 2x4s -- selling the something as advertised would actually cause the purchaser more trouble in many cases."

...As you’ll see, although we don’t know where this is, many people (mentioned before) knew exactly where to be and at what time.
With a couple dozen of them in the field behind the edge of the runway, they waited in anticipation of seeing one of the best looking planes of all time, namely, the B-1 bomber.
...B-1s GE F101 engines produce 14,600 lbf. (30,780 with afterburner) each, and these bombers have four of them!
Well, see what happens when you get too close to them.
It’s actually pretty funny how quickly these people realized this was a bad idea.

USS Fitzgerald, Big Ocean Gets Small, Collision at sea | U.S. Naval Institute:
"...So, all through the night the captain is receiving phone calls when the ship is near land.
Typically the report goes like the this: “Sir, this is the Officer of the Deck…I have a contact, broad on the starboard bow at 12,000 yards. He is drifting left to a CPA [closest point of approach] on our port bow, at 6,000 yards, in 20 minutes. My intention is to maintain course and speed.
When the OOD calls, the captain envisions the situation in his or her head and then either concurs with the recommendations of the OOD or, if necessary, gives instructions.
Sometimes, if the OOD is concerned with the situation, the officer will ask the captain to come to the pilot house.
Other times, the captain gets a bad feeling and she goes without being asked.
A captain has to know the OODs strengths and weaknesses.
The COs need to know how to read voices—does the OOD sound settled and confident?
Is there a hint of concern?
What time is it?
It is in this area where things can and do go wrong.
Sometimes, an OOD is afraid to call the captain.
Maybe the captain is intimidating.
Maybe the OOD, despite the best of intentions, lets a ship get within 10,000 yards before calling. Now the OOD may understand that he or she is in peril of getting rebuked by a captain who cannot possibly understand why the OOD did not understand the meaning of 10,000 yards.
Maybe the OOD will lose the captain’s trust?
Maybe the CO will fire the OOD—which would be painful and humiliating.
Captains must be careful not to get mad or cranky when called.
You do not want to make your OODs hesitant to call.
It takes a ship going 15 knots only 6 minutes to go 3,000 yards.
If your ship and the approaching ship are traveling at 15 knots, the range can decrease by 6,000 yards in 6 minutes.
At night, with all the confusion in a busy seaway, the approaching ship can be on you before you know it.
And then what?..."

Bloodshed is coming to America

Bloodshed is coming to America:
"Bloodshed is coming to America, and it won’t be a response to oppression but the result of aggression – against God and our constitutional form of government.
The increasingly violent acts in our streets, town-hall meetings and university campuses are simply birth pangs for a greater upheaval that’s brewing hot – and it’s not by accident.
Image result for Bloodshed is coming to AmericaAlthough the narrative is that street protests and student uprisings are simply a response to Trump as president or guest speakers with conservative values, the truth is they are coordinated attacks resulting from a subversive anti-God, anti-American ideology that has indoctrinated our universities for more than 50 years.
Let us explain.
In 1963, a book written by Cleon Skousen titled “The Naked Communist” was presented to Congress by Rep A.S. Herlong Jr. of Florida.
In his remarks, he submitted the book’s list of goals, which revealed how revolutionaries intended to turn our nation from constitutionalism to communism without firing a single bullet
And the schoolroom provided the perfect staging ground.
The full list of goals can be found in the Congressional Record – Appendix, Pages A34-A35, Jan. 10, 1963.
Here are just a few:
17) Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
18) Gain control of all student newspapers.
19) Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations, which are under Communist attack.
20) Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
21) Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.
40) Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
42) Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition, that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use “united force” to solve economic, political or social problems.
Sound familiar? These goals aren’t simply being taught to our youth, they are being caught – and now carried out.

Why the Russians Conceived the Global Warming Scam

Why the Russians Conceived the Global Warming Scam:

"One of my duties at Accuracy in Media (AIM) has been to expose left-wingers in the media and Congress who were soft on the old Soviet Union and are now acting like hard-liners on Vladimir Putin’s Russia. It is a fascinating topic which exposes the duplicity of the left-wing obsession with Russia.

Image result for Flicker Commons Images Soviet UnionThese people, who were soft on the Soviet Union and now hard on Russia, are the worst kind of hypocrites. Their hypocrisy is further demonstrated by the abundant evidence that the global warming or climate change theory, which they now embrace, was conceived by Soviet communists as a means by which to destroy the industrial base in the United States. This disinformation theme has been embraced by the liberals now claiming to be tough on Russia.

Don’t take my word for it. When Natalie Grant Wraga died in 2002 at the age of 101, The Washington Post recognized her expertise as a Soviet expert, noting that she was “born in czarist Russia, saw great upheaval in her native land and became an expert in unmasking Soviet deception methods for the State Department…”"

Who Does The FBI Work For?

Who Does The FBI Work For?:
"There’s no reason to beat around the bush here: what the FBI is claiming is mind-boggling when they claim the shooter had no target in mind.
...That brings us to yesterday’s FBI briefing on the shooting targeting Republicans in Alexandria, a briefing that could not be more bizarre in its content and its conclusions.
Mollie Hemingway has more:
“The FBI admits that Hodgkinson:

Image result for what the hell meme
  • vociferously raged against Republicans in online forums,
  • had a piece of paper bearing the names of six members of Congress,
  • was reported for doing target practice outside his home in recent months before moving to Alexandria,
  • had mapped out a trip to the DC area, took multiple photos of the baseball field he would later shoot up, three days after the New York Times mentioned that Republicans practiced baseball at an Alexandria baseball field with little security,
  • lived out of his van at the YMCA directly next door to the baseball field he shot up,
  • legally purchased a rifle in March 2003 and 9 mm handgun “in November 2016,”
  • modified the rifle at some point to accept a detachable magazine and replaced the original stock with a folding stock,
  • rented a storage facility to hide hundreds of rounds of ammunition and additional rifle components,
  • asked “Is this the Republican or Democrat baseball team?” before firing on the Republicans,
  • ran a Google search for information on the “2017 Republican Convention” hours before the shooting,
  • and took photos at high-profile Washington locations, including the east front plaza of the U.S. Capitol and the Dirksen Senate Office.
  • We know from other reporting that the list was of six Republican Freedom Caucus members, including Rep. Mo Brooks, who was present at the practice.

So what does the FBI decide this information means?
Well, the takeaway of the briefing was characterized well by the Associated Press headline about it: “FBI: Gunman who shot congressman had no target in mind.”
The Associated Press reported the FBI:

  • believes the gunman “had no concrete plan to inflict violence” against Republicans,
  • “had not yet clarified who, if anyone, he planned to target, or why,”
  • believes he may have just “happened upon” the baseball game the morning of June 14,
  • and that the attack appeared “spontaneous,”
  • are unclear on the “context” of Hodgkinson’s note with six names of members of Congress,
  • does not believe that photographs of the baseball field or other sites “represented surveillance of intended targets,”
  • and “painted a picture of a down-on-his-luck man with few future prospects...”

Must read of the day!-----The Utter Complete Total Fraud of Wind Power

Image result for wind power failThe Utter Complete Total Fraud of Wind Power-by Matt Ridley
"The Global Wind Energy Council recently released its latest report, excitedly boasting that ‘the proliferation of wind energy into the global power market continues at a furious pace, after it was revealed that more than 54 gigawatts of clean renewable wind power was installed across the global market last year’.
You may have the impression from announcements like that, and from the obligatory pictures of wind turbines in any New York Times story, that wind power is making a big contribution to world energy today.
You would be wrong.
Its contribution is still, after decades — nay centuries — of development, trivial to the point of irrelevance.
Even after 30 years of huge subsidies, wind power provides only slightly more than zero energy to the world.
Even put together, wind and photovoltaic solar are supplying less than 1 per cent of global energy demand.
Energy Agency’s 2016 Key Renewables Trends, we can see that wind provided 0.46 per cent of global energy consumption in 2014, and solar and tide combined provided 0.35 per cent.
Remember this is total energy, not just electricity, which is less than a fifth of all final energy, the rest being the solid, gaseous, and liquid fuels that do the heavy lifting for heat, transport and industry.

Wind energy is 3.3% of the 13.8% of the renewable fuel share. 13.8% x 3.3% = 0.46%
Such numbers are not hard to find, but they don’t figure prominently in reports on energy derived from the Unreliables Lobby (solar and wind).
Their trick is to hide behind the statement that close to 14 per cent of the world’s energy is renewable, with the implication that this is wind and solar.
In fact the vast majority — three quarters — is biomass (mainly wood), and a very large part of that is ‘traditional biomass’: sticks, logs, charcoal and dung burned by the poor in their homes to cook with.
Those people need that energy, but they pay a big price in health problems caused by smoke inhalation..."

Did 5.7 Million Non-Citizens Vote in 2008 Election?

Did 5.7 Million Non-Citizens Vote in 2008 Election?:
"A report from the conservative/libertarian think tank Just Facts shows that up to 5.7 million people who cast their ballots in the 2008 presidential election were non-citizens.
Image result for vote fraudThe group used data from a Harvard study as well as US Census Bureau data to arrive at that conclusion.
Just Facts also estimated that up to 3.6 million non-citizens cast their vote in 2012.
Washington Times:
Just Facts’ conclusions confront both sides in the illegal voting debate: those who say it happens a lot and those who say the problem nonexistent.

  • In one camp, there are groundbreaking studies by professors at Old Dominion University in Virginia who attempted to compile scientifically derived illegal voting numbers using the Harvard data, called the Cooperative Congressional Election Study.
  • On the other side are the professors who conducted the study and contended that “zero” noncitizens of about 18 million adults in the U.S. voted. The liberal mainstream media adopted this position and proclaimed the Old Dominion work was “debunked.”

The ODU professors, who stand by their work in the face of attacks from the left, concluded that in 2008 as few as 38,000 and as many as 2.8 million noncitizens voted.
Mr. Agresti’s analysis of the same polling data settled on much higher numbers.
He estimated that as many as 7.9 million noncitizens were illegally registered that year and 594,000 to 5.7 million voted.
With voter ID laws in so many states, how did the non-citizens get away with it?...
