It's not only Pakistan that we pay billions of dollars to for nothing, but also many other countries, and others. As an example, we pay the Palestinians HUNDRED OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year and get no appreciation or respect. They don’t even want to negotiate a long overdue...
...peace treaty with Israel. We have taken Jerusalem, the toughest part of the negotiation, off the table, but Israel, for that, would have had to pay more. But with the Palestinians no longer willing to talk peace, why should we make any of these massive future payments to them?

Obama Campaign Paid $972,000 To Law Firm That Paid Fusion GPS

Since April of 2016, Obama's campaign organization has paid nearly a million dollars to the law firm that funneled money to Fusion GPS to compile a dossier of unverified allegations against Donald Trump.

Drones fly drugs into U.S. with no Border Patrol detection technology - Washington Times

Drones fly drugs into U.S. with no Border Patrol detection technology - Washington Times:

Image result for wikicommons images Droans"Border Patrol agents are increasingly worried about the threat from drug-cartel-flown drones, after agents spotted 13 drones suspected of carrying drugs across one section of the U.S.-Mexico border in just one four-day period in November.

Cartels are aware that the U.S. lacks the ability to detect the drones, much less to interdict them, making them a choice method for smuggling high-dollar hard drugs into the country, agents said."

Unlawful In Michigan To Work For Less Than $9.25/Hour [Michigan Capitol Confidential]

Unlawful In Michigan To Work For Less Than $9.25/Hour [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"The state of Michigan is one of a number of states that saw their minimum wage rise with the start of the new year.
As of Monday it became unlawful in this state to employ a worker for less than $9.25 an hour.
See the source imageMichigan is one of 18 states that upped their mandated pay rate on Jan. 1, according to the Economic Policy Institute.
Monday’s increase was the third since September 2014, when the minimum allowable pay rate was hiked to $8.15 an hour.
It was upped again to $8.50 an hour in January 2016, then to $8.90 in January 2017, according to a state website.
...Mackinac Center fiscal analyst Michael LaFaive sees the increases as bad news for lower-skilled individuals who are just entering the workforce.
"Young or inexperienced job-seekers who lack the skills needed to make it worth paying them that much are out of luck," he said.
“What these laws really do is cut away the bottom rungs from the ladder that leads to a lifetime of gainful employment.”

Passwords: Another case of Democrats unclear on the concept

See the source imagePasswords: Another case of Democrats unclear on the concept
"...It all points to an underlying problem with the Democrats.

  • One: Rules don't apply to them.
  • Two: Affairs of state are personal affairs, and thus easy to forward to personal emails.
  • Three: The only enemies America has are Republicans; everyone else out there is UniWorld.
  • Four: They don't believe in personal responsibility – even when they are the government, they think that's the government's job.
  • Five: For all their claims to being in touch with high tech, in reality, they are morons.
  • Six: They don't do their jobs very well, and they expect that they won't be held accountable.

Can Democrats really be trusted with sensitive government passwords with this record?
Voters should think about this next time they cast a ballot."

UK NHS Patient Asks for Female Nurse for Cervical Smear, Gets Tattooed Trans Man With Stubble
See the source imageA woman who requested a female nurse for an intimate procedure was given an “obviously male” member of staff with stubble and tattoos, who claimed to be a transsexual.
The National Health Service (NHS) patient said she was “embarrassed and distressed” when summoned by a nurse with “an obviously male appearance … close-cropped hair, a male facial appearance and voice, large number of tattoos and facial stubble” to carry out a cervical smearThe Times reports.
When she pointed out what she thought was a mistake, the nurse told her off: “My gender is not male. I’m a transsexual.”
Speaking after the examination, which she ultimately decided to abandon, the patient said it was “weird where somebody says to you: ‘My gender is not male’ and you think: ‘Well, what does that even mean? You are clearly a man.’ ”
In a formal letter of complaint, she objected that “People who are not comfortable about this are presented as bigots and this is … kind of how I was made to feel about it.”

U.N. Chief Issues 'Red Alert' Against Nationalism, Xenophobia, Climate Change for 2018

U.N. Chief Issues 'Red Alert' Against Nationalism, Xenophobia, Climate Change for 2018
"United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres said in his New Year proclamation Sunday that nations around the globe should unite to fight nationalism, xenophobia, and climate change.
Guterres called his message a “red alert.”
“On New Year’s Day 2018, I am not issuing an appeal. I am issuing an alert—a red alert for our world,” Guterres said.

As we begin 2018, I am issuing a red alert for our world. I call for unity – our future depends on it.
“As we begin 2018, I call for unity,” Guterres said.
“We can settle conflicts, overcome hatred and defend shared values.”
“But we can only do that together,” Guterres said, noting that 2017 had not turned out to be the year of peace he had hoped for in his last New Year address.
...“At the same time, impacts of climate change worsened at an alarming rate, inequalities grew, and there were horrific violations of human rights,” the U.N. press release said of the secretary’s remarks.
“Nationalism and xenophobia are on the rise,” Guterres said.
...“Unity is the path,” Guterres said. “Our future depends on it.”

Annual Report: Top 11 of 100 Outrageous Ways Federal Government Wasted $473 Billion in Taxpayer Money:
"The federal government wastes or ineffectively uses billions of taxpayer dollars every year.
In late November, Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) released the annual waste report: “Federal Fumbles: 100 Ways the Government Dropped the Ball.”
Image result for “Federal Fumbles: 100 Ways the Government Dropped the Ball.”The report provides examples of waste and mismanagement that took place over eleven months, including newly documented past waste and ongoing wasteful practices.
The total wasted dollars dug up for the report: $473 billion. Lankford wrote in the introductory remarks in the report:
Included in ‘Federal Fumbles’ is just a sampling of instances where federal agencies or departments have wasted or inefficiently used billions of your dollars.
The program and grant funding discussed in this book has already been allocated or spent and cannot be recovered.
But highlighting it here provides lessons for agencies and hopefully encourages Congress to utilize its oversight and legislative authority to prevent future waste and misuse of federal tax dollars."
