Broward deputy works for ‘Muslim mafia’:
"A leader of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in South Florida also serves as a deputy for the Broward County Sheriff’s office, which is under fire for its handling of the Valentine’s Day school shooting in which 17 people were killed.
Nezar Hamze is the regional operations director for the Florida chapter of CAIR, whose national office was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas-funding scheme and was designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates.
How, then, asked anti-Shariah activist Joe Kaufman in a 2015 column for FrontPage Magazine, “is it possible that one of [CAIR’s] leaders, Nezar Hamze, could be considered for a position at one of the most prominent Sheriff’s offices in the United States?”"

Delaware may let students ‘choose’ their race, gender without parental consent | Fox News
"A proposal that would let students in Delaware as young as 5 choose their own race and gender-identity – without approval from their parents – has sparked a bitter battle in the First State.
On one side are parents who say they want a more welcoming climate for their transgender or non-binary children.
On the other side are parents who say the proposal infringes on their basic parental rights.
Under Regulation 225, schools would be required to provide access to facilities and activities that are consistent with a student's gender identity—regardless of the child's sex at birth.
That includes bathrooms, locker rooms, team sports and adhering to the child's preferred name.
Under the proposal, students could also choose their own race.
What has rankled some parents is that the new regulation does not require schools to inform parents of the child’s decision..."

Here are the liberals still hell-bent on trying to prove the anti-Trump dossier is true - Washington Times:
"Twenty months after Christopher Steele first briefed the FBI on his Donald Trump conspiracies, dossier fever has struck Washington as at least eight politicos and groups are trying to prove it is true.
Meanwhile, Republican investigators have come to the conclusion that the unverified 35-page dossier is Democrat Party-bought bunk. They have turned to investigating the dossier itself: how did the FBI use the Democratic scandal sheet to spy on the other party and who in the Obama administration knew about it.

Seattle author mistakes Norwegian flag for Confederate flag, alerts local newspaper — RT US News
"When a New York Times bestselling author noticed a blue-and-red flag flying near her home, she tipped off the local newspaper to report a "Confederate flag."
But there was just one little problem – it was a Norwegian flag.
The tip-off to the Seattle Times came from true-crime author Rebecca Morris.
“Hi. Suddenly there is a Confederate flag flying in front of a house in my Greenwood neighborhood...”
...On second glance, however, Morris admitted her error. "Well, it does look like the Norwegian flag!" she said. "Maybe that's the story... we're so stressed by all things political that we see things that aren't there."...

Ohio Sheriff Offers Free Gun Training To 50 Teachers; Forced To Cap At 300 After Huge Response | Zero Hedge:

"An Ohio sheriff who offered free firearms training to 50 teachers was forced to cap his offer at 300, after a flood of local school employees signed up in the wake of a Florida high school shooting that left 17 people dead.
“We put it online, we thought we’d get 20 school teachers maybe. Within 20 minutes we had 40. Within an hour we had 100. Within four hours we had 200. By the next morning, at 300, we cut it off,” Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said on “Fox & Friends.”
If you listen 2 media teachers do not want to carry weapons in schools. We have over 300 said want 2.
School personnel start gun training in butler county Ohio Monday ccw. We will train this week over 120.
The Parkland, FL shooting has renewed a national debate on the Second Amendment. Sheriff Jones noted that only a few schools in Ohio allow the concealed carry of a firearm, and that the plan to arm teachers would only work if "the school boards have the guts to make it a reality." Jones suggested that school staffers should go through mandatory firearms training to help them identify the sounds of gunfire.
“We have to do something here because we can’t wait for our government to do anything. All they do is fight, they get nothing done,” he said..."

Three women forced to take off hijabs for mugs settle with city - NY Daily News
"New York City will pay a total of $180,000 to three Muslim women who were forced to take off their hijabs for mug shots, the Daily News has learned.
Settlements in the three cases were filed Monday in Brooklyn federal court, with the lawsuits spurring new NYPD procedures on photographing people donning religious head coverings.
The cases date back as far as 2012, when a Brooklyn high school girl identified as “G.E.” was arrested after a scuffle with two girls she thought were spreading rumors about her.
The criminal case was dismissed, but it was the initial mug shots that mattered in the civil rights case that followed.
G.E. was taken to the 62nd Precinct, which covers such neighborhoods as Bensonhurst, Mapleton and Bath Beach, where police told her she’d have to take off her hijab.
The teen refused, and was taken to a private room where a female officer shot the photo outside the presence of any men.
But at Brooklyn central booking, police told her there weren’t any female officers to do the picture and the camera was in a fixed spot, so it couldn’t be privately taken elsewhere.
G.E. said a male officer took her picture without her hijab..."

When
tragedy strikes we do everything we can to further protect ourselves
and the ones we love. We go through many different stages of emotion.
Shock and disbelief are certainly in the forefront as we struggle to
grasp with what is happening. Shock eventually gives way to grief
and or anger as we begin to comprehend and come to terms with our new
reality.
It
is never easy to understand why such tragedies take place. Why do
innocent people become victims? We try to recreate a better outcome
with “what if” or “if only” possibilities. We even insert
ourselves into the situation. What could we have done differently?
Could we have prevented this moment in time? Trying to make sense of
something so senseless can be exasperating. But, that's what we do,
we try to find a reason and then we try to fix the problem so that it
never happens again.
We
have all dealt with personal loss or tragedies. We know the
heart-wrenching feeling of helplessness. As a nation, we have also
dealt with many tragedies from natural disasters, the loss of those
who serve protecting our freedom, to attacks on our home soil by both
foreign and domestic assailants. Once we begin to recover and
acknowledge the reality, we want to prevent such tragedies and losses
from ever happening again. Acting purely on emotion is however, very
dangerous. Using our children as political pawns to promote an
anti-American agenda is disgraceful, shameful and a national tragedy......

"Misinformation can be deadly, especially when it comes to issues like school shootings.
This is because it can build support for policies that increase fatalities and generate opposition to reforms that can save lives...
..Summary
Trump’s proposal to protect the lives of schoolchildren by arming selected teachers and amply training them is consistent with the following facts of criminology, security, policing, firearms, and active shooter incidents:
- Adequate armed security is a major deterrent to would-be murderers.
- The students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School had 40 times less security per person than the Superdome provides to sports fans.
- Arming one of five teachers would give children similar protection to sports fans, or one guard per 80 students.
- Police receive an average of 15 hours per year of firearm training, and recreational shooters fire just as accurately as police.
- Well-trained teachers would be as proficient with firearms as police.
- Generally untrained civilians save far more lives with guns than are lost in accidents.
- A high-cost estimate for Trump’s proposal that includes giving teachers much more firearms training than police is less than 1% of public school spending.
- The AR-15 used in Parkland and other shootings is not a weapon of war but a semi-automatic rifle.
- AR-15s have more firepower than handguns, but handguns have an edge in maneuverability.
- Arming one of five teachers would give them a major advantage of strength in numbers.
- The reality of police response times means that the actions of civilians are often vital to saving lives in active shooter incidents.
Nevertheless, many major media outlets are ignoring these facts while propagating claims that are contradicted by them.
Given that the lives of schoolchildren and teachers hang in the balance, twisting the truth or hiding from it could have deadly outcomes."

"The deadly school shooting this month in Parkland, Florida, has ignited national outrage and calls for action on gun reform.
But while certain policies may help decrease gun violence in general, it’s unlikely that any of them will prevent mass school shootings, according to James Alan Fox, the Lipman Family Professor of Criminology, Law, and Public Policy at Northeastern.
