"In California's never-ending quest to tax everything, there are new reports that the liberal state may soon levy a tax on text messages.
California state regulators are working on a plan to charge cell phone users a fee for text messaging, all in the name of collecting taxpayer money to pay for programs to make phone service cheaper to low-income residents, the San Jose Mercury News reported..."

Obama’s Mexican Gunrunning Op Could Help Sinaloa Drug Lord’s Defense - Judicial Watch:

Obama’s scandalous Mexican gunrunning operation could help in the defense of a notorious drug lord on trial in New York and the feds are trying to ban its mention in the courtroom. It’s yet another ripple effect of a shameful Obama experiment known as Fast and Furious that let Mexican drug traffickers obtain U.S.-sold weapons. The failed program was run by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and allowed guns from the U.S. to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels. Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of hundreds of weapons which were used in an unknown number of crimes, including the murder of U.S. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry in Arizona.

"...The “Network of Concerned Academics” actually has a rather limited and singular “concern:”
It believes that higher education, academic freedom and freedom of speech are all under assault by conservatives.
Well, that’s an interesting contention: Conservative campus constituencies often number in the single digits on most campuses, and it is rather difficult for conservative organizations to make any inroads into higher education.
Meanwhile, the most aggressive and pernicious political actors on campus are overwhelmingly liberal ones:
It’s progressives who are shouting speakers down, ruthlessly policing language, enforcing strict political orthodoxy, and generally making everyone terrified to register even a hint of dissent.
This is not mere conjecture..."

From Suleiman to Suhail Khan – Islam’s Key Tools are Espionage & Intel Gathering | Creeping Sharia
"Suleiman the Magnificent, who is known as the most respected sultan of the Ottoman Empire, was in power from 1520-1566.
...Suleiman the Magnificent mastered manipulation of  spies in the community for profit or status to provide information about his enemy during his 46 years as emperor.
...During the Soviet’s war in Afghanistan in the 1980’s, the Afghans set up beverage stands immediately outside the Soviet bases.
In fact, these stands – similar to the stands Afghans set up outside U.S. bases in our recent war there – were used as intelligence collection points.
As convoys came and went from the bases, their size, number of vehicles, estimates of personnel, and routes were radioed ahead to the mujahideen ahead who would often ambush them.
On 9/11/2001, Suhail Khan was working in the White House.

  • Khan is the son of Mahboob Khan, one of the most prominent Muslim Brotherhood leaders in the United States who created some of the most influential Muslim Brotherhood groups in America.
  • ...Suhail Khan went on to gain a secret clearance and work for two successive Secretaries of Transportation with access to America’s infrastructure, despite his ties to jihadis like his father, Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi, and many others.
  • ...ISNA was identified by the U.S. government as a Muslim Brotherhood organization which sent money directly from its accounts to leaders of the terrorist organization Hamas and to Hamas leaders overseas in violation of U.S. law.
  • Mohamed Magid was the Vice President then President of ISNA for many years, had a secret clearance, served on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Advisory Committee, was a frequent guest at the White House, worked with several Secretaries of State, led “Interfaith Outreach” programs with the Christian and Jewish communities in America, and was – and still is – involved in many other Islamic jihadi organizations...

“We are happy to provide the facts — but you never reached out. In fact, DHS prevented 3,755 known or suspected terrorists from traveling to or entering the U.S. in FY 17. That’s in addition to 17,526 criminals, 1,019 gang members, and 3,028 special interest aliens,” Houlton tweeted.

Trump and Campaign Finance - WSJ

Trump and Campaign Finance - WSJ
See the source image"...Mr. Trump is correct that such payments are not campaign expenses and he’s also correct that many lawyers in the field agree with him.
Many people in the press likely also know he is correct—even if it’s hard to tell from current coverage.
Here’s how the Associated Press reported in 2012 on the results of the Justice Department’s effort to claim that such payments were campaign expenses in the case of a former Democratic senator:
A jury’s refusal to convict John Edwards was less a redemption of the former White House hopeful than a rejection of the Justice Department’s boldest attempt to make an example of someone in the name of enforcing campaign finance laws.
Thursday’s verdict of not guilty on one count and a mistrial on five others bore out criticism from the earliest stages of the case that it was a reach...
“As noted by nearly every campaign finance lawyer who considered the matter, this was a lousy case,” ... Before Edwards’ prosecution, no federal candidate had been tried over payments from a third party that flowed to a mistress.
After the Edwards verdict,

  • Chris Matthews of MSNBC opened his television program by saying, “Let me start with this John Edwards trial, this waste of time, money and public attention.
  • The Los Angeles Times reported it this way...
  • The New York Times also called it “a case that had no precedent.” The Washington Post observed...
...If a judge decides that campaign expenditures no longer mean what they obviously mean—printing yard signs, buying ad time on television channels, etc.—and come to be defined as anything helpful to a politician running for office, some may wonder where it could lead.
When Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D., Texas) collects a slew of media endorsements during his campaign against Mr. Trump in 2020, must they be reported as in-kind contributions and limited by some estimate of their worth to the campaign?
Perhaps more likely is that an impossible standard will be applied to Mr. Trump alone."

Chicago fell by 85,000.
Honolulu, San Jose, New York and Bridgeport, CT lost the highest shares of their residents to other parts of the country.
In Chicago, New York and Los Angeles, the three areas with a triple-digit daily exodus, people are fleeing at a greater rate than just a few years earlier.
Soaring home prices and high local taxes are pushing local residents out and scaring off potential movers from other parts of the country..."

IG: Mueller's office wiped data on Strzok, Page iPhones - WND:

More evidence likely resided on the iPhones issued to them by the government.
Image result for Sparkling Clean Clip ArtBut that evidence is now wiped clean, because the phones were “reset” to factory settings, apparently by Mueller’s team.
In a report, the Office of the Inspector General in the Department of Justice explained that when the IG was looking for the phones, Mueller’s office responded that Strzok’s had been re-issued and reset.
Mueller’s “records officer” told the IG “that as part of the office’s records retention procedure, the officer reviewed Strzok’s DOJ issued iPhone after he returned it to the SCO and determined it contained no substantive text messages.”

Republicans Take Bold Tack Against Democratic Gerrymander In The Supreme Court | The Daily Caller:

Image result for flickr commons images u. s. supreme courtA coalition of Republican voters made a pair of bold requests while asking the Supreme Court to uphold a lower court ruling striking down a Democratic gerrymander in Maryland.
Their case, one of several pending before the justices on this topic, could clear the way for greater judicial scrutiny over redistricting. The Supreme Court has yet to find partisan line-drawing, called gerrymandering, unlawful.

Junk scientist Al Gore also made the same prediction in 2009.

Donald Trump uses Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer quotes in border security pitch - Washington Times

Donald Trump uses Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer quotes in border security pitch - Washington Times
"President Trump posted a video to Twitter on Thursday in which he accused the Democrats of being “absolute hypocrites” on border security and his wall, using clips from numerous high-profile Democrats to support his point.
In the clips, Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer, failed 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama all denounce illegal immigration, and Mrs. Clinton specifically brags about voting to keep immigrants out with barriers.

Embedded video

Let’s not do a shutdown, Democrats - do what’s right for the American People!

  • At a town-hall-style gathering, Mrs. Clinton says she helped push funding “to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in.”
  • Mr. Schumer says flatly that “Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple,” and Mr. Obama says that “we simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked.”
  • Democrats have long said they favor border security and barriers while denouncing Mr. Trump’s wall as different to the point of being a betrayal of America itself.
  • Mr. Trump introduced the clips by saying of Democrats that “all along, they’ve been supporting walls and supporting fences and supporting all sorts of border security.
  • After the clips, he concludes that “they only don’t want to act because of me.”
