Attorney General Bill Barr Says He Won’t Stop Using The Word ‘Spying’ | The Daily Caller

Barr continued, “I think spying is a good English word that, in fact, doesn’t have synonyms because it is the broadest word incorporating really all forms of covert intelligence collection, so I’m not going to back off the word ‘spying.'”
To further defend his use of the word, Barr pointed out that many members of the media also used the term before they decided to attack him for doing the same.
“Frankly, we went back and looked at press usage and up until all the faux outrage a couple of weeks ago, it’s commonly used in the press to refer to authorized activities,” he explained.

Don’t be fooled by Bernie Sanders — he’s a diehard communist
Image result for Bernie Sanders — he’s a diehard communist"As polls tighten and self-described socialist Bernie Sanders looks more like a serious contender than a novelty candidate for president, the liberal media elite have suddenly stopped calling him socialist. He’s now cleaned up as a “progressive” or “pragmatist.”
But he’s not even a socialist.
He’s a communist.
Mainstreaming Sanders requires whitewashing his radical pro-communist past.
It won’t be easy to do.
If Sanders were vying for a Cabinet post, he’d never pass an FBI background check.
There’d be too many subversive red flags popping up in his file.
He was a communist collaborator during the height of the Cold War.
Rewind to 1964.

  • While attending the University of Chicago, Sanders joined the Young People’s Socialist League, the youth wing of the Socialist Party USA.
  • He also organized for a communist front, the United Packinghouse Workers Union, which at the time was under investigation by the House Committee on Un-American Activities.
  • After graduating with a political science degree, Sanders moved to Vermont, where he headed the American People’s History Society, an organ for Marxist propaganda.
  • There, he produced a glowing documentary on the life of socialist revolutionary Eugene Debs, who was jailed for espionage during the Red Scare and hailed by the Bolsheviks as “America’s greatest Marxist.”...

China is doing more to green the earth, and eliminate global energy poverty, than any other government.
China is building or planning more than 300 coal plants in places as widely spread as Turkey, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Egypt and the Philippines.
“When you put money down and put steel into the ground for a coal-fired power plant it’s a 40- or 50-year commitment.”

But in 1998, Biden admitted to Specter that “It was clear to me from the way she was answering the questions, [Hill] was lying” about a key part of her testimony. The exchange was published in Specter’s 2000 memoir, “Passion for Truth: From Finding JFK’s Single Bullet to Questioning Anita Hill to Impeaching Clinton.”
The issue is important, as the media and other partisans rewrite the historical record about Hill and her accusations.

Street Preacher Greta Thunberg | NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

Street Preacher Greta Thunberg | NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT

"Donna Laframboise has a pertinent comment:
...In recent months, climate preachers have garnered immense publicity. Greta Thunberg, a mentally disabled child from an extraordinarily dysfunctional family, has been telling us we’re out of time.
The end is nigh.
If we don’t heed her warning we’ll be punished for our environmental sins.
Rather than comforting this disturbed child, rather than urging this family to get its own house in order before it scolds the rest of us, journalists, politicians, religious leaders, and activists have instead made Greta famous.
This is madness.
We’re now taking moral instruction from a household in which children decide to starve themselves for months, in which adults are told they’re not permitted to go to the toilet.

"New York Mayor Bill de Blasio made national headlines last week with his call to ban “traditional glass and steel skyscrapers” in the name of the environment.
...This remark from our self-described socialist reveals in plain language a sobering truth.
Today’s greens are yesterday’s reds.
...What should be alarming is how this new war on prosperity, or to use the mayor's disparaging spin, this attack on “monuments to wealth,” is being launched in the name of the environment..."

New "Medicare for All" Bill Would Kick 181 Million Off Private Insurance | The Heritage Foundation

New "Medicare for All" Bill Would Kick 181 Million Off Private Insurance | The Heritage Foundation:

Image result for flickr commons images Bernie SandersSen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described “socialist,” is doubling down on his efforts to give federal officials total control over Americans’ health care.
The senator has just unveiled the Medicare for All Act of 2019 with 13 leading Senate Democrats, including fellow contenders for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination: Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Kamala Harris of California, and Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
Americans should find this bill chilling. If passed, it would essentially abolish all private health coverage in America, regardless of whether Americans like their current plans.

Nigeria and the U.S.: A Tale of Two Energy Economies | RealClearMarkets

Nigeria and the U.S.: A Tale of Two Energy Economies | RealClearMarkets
"...Nigeria simultaneously is energy-rich and energy-poor was illustrated by the ongoing tug of war between the Nigerian government and Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID).
This was over a prior agreement for P&ID to build a state-of-the-art natural gas processing plant along the Nigerian coast.
In a nutshell: The government was supposed to provide the land and build the pipeline to deliver the gas to the plant.
It failed to do either.
As a result, over 282 billion cubic feet of gas were wasted (flared) in 2018 alone.
...This arrangement was win-win.
See the source image...How is it that a nation with over 37 billion barrels of proven oil reserves can find itself in a position of energy poverty?
This question confronts us yet again with age-old lessons about the importance of property rights, the rule of law, and the often-perverse incentives of government officials.
Merely contrast the Nigerian bungling of the P&ID contract with the recent evolution of the natural gas market in the U.S.
U.S. gas production in 1990 was 17.8 trillion cubic feet; in 2018 it was 30.4 trillion cubic feet, an increase of about 71 percent.
...The easy explanation for this sharp increase in US production is the fracking/horizontal drilling revolution.
That is correct as far as it goes, but it does not go far enough:
That tremendous technological advance did not take place in a vacuum.
It is the result of the US system of property rights---much of the modern increase in gas production has taken place on private land---combined with legally-enforceable contractual arrangements, investments in infrastructure that more-or-less are driven by market forces, and sharp constraints on the ability of government officials to interfere with private arrangements, except through processes constrained by the rule of law..."

'Two Days Before The Day After Tomorrow': Here Are Some Of The Worst Global Warming Predictions Pushed By...The Experts
Image result for The Day After Tomorrow'"...yet, the urban elites, the liberals, the Democrats—all of these people want us to move away from the very energy sources that have made us the most vibrant and powerful economy in the world in ten years because…we’re all going to die if we don’t.
...This is where some over-educated and condescending liberal snob decided to lecture the rest of us that we must sacrifice hundreds of billion, if not trillions, of dollars to reduce global temperatures or we’ll all perish. Time is running out, they said.
Right now, the arbitrary timeline is 21 years.
...Buildings that cannot be retrofitted for energy efficiency requirements have to be destroyed, farting cows must die, and the internal combustible engine has to go.
It’s a return to caveman times, folks—because the same clowns who said that global cooling will doom us all in the 1970s said so.
...Ever since this blasted Earth Day was created in 1970, the green warriors have predicted catastrophe. And they were all totally and utterly wrong. Here are some of their biggest whoppers, courtesy of the American Enterprise Institute who doled out 18 of their biggest flops since 1970. You can about the rest in the link. The Day After Tomorrow is more...two days before the day after tomorrow (via AEI) [emphasis mine]:
  • Harvard biologist George Wald estimated that “civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.”
  • “Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make,” Paul Ehrlich confidently declared in the April 1970 issue of Mademoiselle.“The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.”
  • Most of the people who are going to die in the greatest cataclysm in the history of man have already been born,” wrote Paul Ehrlich in a 1969 essay titled “Eco-Catastrophe! “By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.”
  • It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” declared Denis Hayes, the chief organizer for Earth Day, in the Spring 1970 issue of The Living Wilderness..."

"In higher education, disgraceful scandals and major embarrassments once arrived one by one.
Now, they appear in clusters, like epidemics we should have been expecting.

Let’s look at what’s happening at Williams, Middlebury, Yale, Trinity, Columbia, Concordia, Villanova, and Sarah Lawrence.

A new National Association of Scholars report on the resurgence of racial segregation in American higher education embargoed until April 29, does not apply to my mentioning a new student proposal endorsed by the student newspaper at Williams College. As The College Fix reports, a group of activists at the college, the Coalition Against Racism Now, is demanding that the college create race-based “affinity housing.”...
