Joe Biden twice used his position as a senior senator to boost his son Hunter's business interests, according to an investigation by the Washington Examiner.
The 2020 Democratic presidential candidate privately contacted the Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department to discuss issues related to Hunter’s firm's lobbying clients, the Examiner said.

City Journal: Battery Derangement - American Experiment
"Governor Walz wants to impose California’s low and zero emission vehicle (LEV and ZEV) regulations on Minnesotans through the bureaucratic rule making process.
These rules would require car manufacturers to meet quotas for electric vehicle sales in order to sell gasoline and diesel powered cars in the state, essentially holding Minnesota’s car market hostage until they sell enough money-losing cars.
...Electric vehicles are often touted as the future of transportation, but a great article in City Journal throws cold water on this idea.
See the source imageYou can read the entire article below:
"...Electric vehicles stand at the center of every “green energy” initiative.
Advocates claim that EVs are far simpler machines than combustion engines.
But the essential “engine” for both is similarly complicated.
While the EV’s electric motor is simple, its battery is a half-a-ton electrochemical machine with thousands of parts and welds, along with wiring, electronics, and cooling.
It’s every bit as complex as—and far more expensive than—the combustion-mechanical drivetrain that it replaces.
Manufacturing automotive batteries is surprisingly labor intensive.
Tesla’s gargantuan battery factory in Nevada produces about 1,000 propulsion batteries per year per 12 workers.
Meantime, a modern engine and transmission factory produces about 1,000 mechanical-propulsion systems per year per four workers..."

She posted the lengthy resignation letter the same day as Founders announced it was closing its Detroit tap room partly out of concern for employee safety and because of “recent events.”

Trudeau Wins A Hollow Victory In Canada's Vote
"...Climate change has entered the realm of, to use a phrase of Napoleon’s, “lies agreed upon.”
...All the dire and hysterical predictions that unleashed this worldwide alarm about the climate have been proved inaccurate.
See the source image... what the prime minister professes to believe is the principal issue in this country is a fiction, which if it did exist, Canada could not influence — climate change.
...Canada’s greatest problems are capital flows and national unity.
...On Monday night Mr. Blanchet left viewers in no doubt that Quebec sought sovereignty, preferably but not necessarily on friendly terms with Canada.
...As the Montreal (and Terrebonne) economic analyst DeWolf Shaw has forcefully pointed out, economically Quebec has completely outperformed Canada in the past decade...
...The only viable counter argument to Quebec’s independence is the vision of the great bicultural world nation of Canada.
I don’t believe the current federal leaders can sell that vision, especially when Alberta has been so mistreated it would be economically justified to contemplate secession also.
...This is where exalting the unifying Big Lie of anthropogenic climate change and ignoring real issues has got us.
Yes, congratulations to the prime minister, but he will find out soon enough that he is sitting on a knife-edge, and we are all there with him."

NCAA Names a Man Their "Female Athlete of the Week," Leaves Out a Few Key Details About Him

NCAA Names a Man Their "Female Athlete of the Week," Leaves Out a Few Key Details About Him
"Jonathan Eastwood loved to compete in track, and was rather good at it.
After he became “June” in middle school, and began identifying himself as a girl, his interest continued, and now he competes as a girl against real girls for the University of Montana.
You may not be surprised to hear this, but he seems to be faster than them.
Just to add insult to the women’s injured pride, the NCAA’s Big Sky Conference named Eastwood the “female athlete of the week,”...
Eastwood beat out eight other nominated competitors for Female Athlete of the Week, all of whom appear to be biological women judging by their official college headshots.
The conference does not note Eastwood is transgender.
The University of Montana does not even note that the conference has male and female categories in its press release on Eastwood’s recognition.
...So sum it up, a man wins a race meant for women, is given recognition and awards meant for women, and no one running the show thought to even mention that Eastwood was a man in the official paperwork.
On top of that, they also push a propaganda piece in order to make Eastwood’s arrival on the women’s scene seem uplifting and legitimate..."

Latino-owned business increased its revenue by nearly 50 percent over the past year — far outpacing the U.S. average. This follows a revenue increase of more than 25 percent the year before that.
According to recent data from the Kauffman Foundation, Latinos are nearly twice as entrepreneurial as the rest of the population. And their entrepreneurship rate has grown markedly since Trump’s election.
Hispanics have disproportionately benefited from the little-publicized 20 percent small business tax deduction that took effect last year as part of Trump’s tax cuts.

The long history of eco-pessimism - spiked

The long history of eco-pessimism - spiked:

  • Climate change isn’t the first eco-apocalyptic idea, and it won’t be the last.

"In December last year, veteran naturalist and broadcaster David Attenborough warned attendees at the United Nations climate-change summit that the ‘collapse of our civilisations and the extinction of much of the natural world is on the horizon’.
See the source imageThis pronouncement was very much in keeping with Attenborough’s long-standing neo-Malthusian views, from his insistence that he has ‘never seen a problem that wouldn’t be easier to solve with fewer people...
...Needless to say, climate Armageddon is just one among many predicted environmental catastrophes that somehow failed to materialise.
Indeed, such prophecies of doom have almost always accompanied the development of disruptive technologies over the past two centuries.
Why is it, then, that 93-year-old Attenborough, a man who has lived through an endless stream of failed eco-catastrophic pronouncements, remains so enamoured of them despite all the evidence to the contrary?
What makes this especially puzzling is that he came of age during a period dominated by a ‘global soil erosion’ scare, which lasted roughly from the time of his birth to the turn of the 1960s.
This now largely forgotten episode is well worth revisiting.
First, because it shows how, like today, the eco-catastrophist narrative can dominate academic and policymaking discourse, and grip parts of the public imagination.
And secondly because it illustrates how a minority of dissenters who believe in technological progress can – and often do – turn out to be right against a powerful and influential group of pessimists.

  • The global soil-erosion scare...

“Military leader of Syrian Kurds thanked President Trump for cease-fire,” by Sophie Sanders, The BL, October 24, 2019:
The military leader of the Syrian Kurds, Gen. Mazloum Abdi, thanked President Trump on Wednesday, Oct. 23, for his tireless effort that stopped the brutal Turkish attack.
In the statement that was announced via Twitter by Mustafa Bali, a spokesman for the SDF, Mazloum said:

GEN.Mazloum:

President Trump tweeted back:

Thank you General Mazloum for your kind words and courage. Please extend my warmest regards to the Kurdish people. I look forward to seeing you soon. @mustefabali
