WaPo Columnist Rips Rachel Maddow For Hyping Steele Dossier | The Daily Caller:

Image result for flickr commons images Rachel MaddowA columnist for The Washington Post blasted Rachel Maddow for her coverage of the infamous Steele dossier on Thursday, saying that the MSNBC host engaged in “a pattern of misleading and dishonest asymmetry” in her reporting on the salacious document in the nearly three years since its publication.
“As part of her Russianist phase, Maddow became a clearinghouse for news increments regarding the dossier,” writes Post media columnist Eric Wemple in his fifth installment in a series reviewing the media’s coverage of Steele’s dossier.

  • Make Gas Cans Great Again & Lock Up the "Snow Blower Vote" [BUCK THROCKMORTON]

Image result for stupid gas can"If Donald Trump wants to ensure he recaptures the 2020 electoral votes in the Great Lakes states he won in 2016 - and possibly add Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Maine - there is one simple thing he could do that would make him a hero to every snow-blowing American - issue an executive order to restore functioning gas cans.
To be clear, this would also make him a hero to tens of millions of other Americans throughout the country who use lawn mowers, power tools, etc around their homes or in their jobs.
...The government-mandated non-functioning gas can may be the most unpopular government-imposed regulatory rule since the 55 mile per hour speed limit...

An Unlimited Supply Of Borrowed Cash Is Destroying Higher Education

An Unlimited Supply Of Borrowed Cash Is Destroying Higher Education:
  • Both of us grew up poor. College was our way out of poverty. Now, we see too many young people locked into poverty by a college education.
“You have to go to college” was an article of faith when we were growing up in poor families.
See the source imageNow we wonder if our ticket out of poverty still has the same value.
Far too many of this generation are leaving college with substantial debt and few meaningful job opportunities.
...The problem has become so overwhelming that politicians are talking about “free” college and “forgiving” college debt.
It sounds good.
The truth is that these proposals are a disaster in the making because they ignore the root cause of out-of-control costs of higher education.

  • Colleges Employ Needless Administrators...
  • Higher Education Institutions Keep Increasing Their Debt...
  • Colleges Stopped Caring About Education...
...According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, “For every new dollar of federal student aid, tuition is raised by 65 cents.”
...If student debt is forgiven and college is made “free,” there will be even less reason to stop spending.
We, the people who pay, must demand that universities and politicians focus on education."

The Impossible Whopper Estrogen Burger: Helping Men Grow Boobies Since 2019 | Winter Watch

"Burger King’s new plant-based protein burger, called the Impossible Whopper, is reportedly so popular that it has brought in more than $250 million from investors, including Bill Gates, and endorsements from sketchy celebrities, such as Ellen Degeneres, Miley Cyrus and Leonardo DiCaprio.
My oh my, what all-star crew (/sarc).
...The Impossible Whopper has 44 mg of estrogen, and a regular Whopper has 2.5 ng of estrogen. Now, let me refresh your metric system.
There are 1 million nanograms (ng) in one milligram (mg).
That means an Impossible Whopper has 18 million times as much estrogen as a regular whopper, according to Tri-State Livestock News.
Forty-four milligrams of estrogen!
By comparison, an entire month of estrogen tablets for transsexuals transitioning from male to female is 60 mg, and a year or so of that hormone regimen causes them to grow breasts, the penis and testicles to shrivel, and makes them infertile.
So, in reality, this is a depopulation burger..."

Blue State Blues: A Decade of Fake News | Breitbart:

The idea of a “decade in review” article at the end of 2019 is a bit of “fake news.” Technically, the current decade does not end until December 31, 2020.
In that spirit, it is worth looking back at the past ten years through the “fake news” lens. These were years in which the mainstream media used false allegations and biased reporting to suppress conservative voices; they were also the first years in which, thanks to Andrew Breitbart, we began to resist them.

"Talk-show host, attorney, and best-selling author Larry Elder said the breakdown of the family -- fatherless families -- is the number one problem in America, not racism or discrimination or bad cops.
He added that when it comes to murder, nearly half of the homicides each year are black-on-black killings.
Commenting on The Rubin Report, Larry Elder said there is a liberal agenda at work and "the goal is to tell black people that we’re victims, that discrimination, racism remain major problems in America when, in fact, they don’t.
And they want black people to vote for the Democratic Party."...

Scientific American: Even Believers Must be Compelled to Live Low Carbon Lifestyles | Watts Up With That?
"Psychologists Claudia Nisa and Jocelyn J. Bélanger believe even people who say they believe in climate change are unlikely to make low carbon choices unless they are “nudged”, by removing or disincentivising the option of making high carbon choices.
Can You Change for Climate Change?
Probably, but research shows that most people need behavioral “nudges” to do so; just the facts aren’t enough
By Claudia NisaJocelyn Bélanger on December 23, 2019
See the source imageSwedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has scolded world leaders for failing to save her generation from climate change, rallying youth climate strikes and taking millions of people to the streets worldwide, demanding action. For many, Thunberg’s emotional oratory is a spark...Thunberg’s sacrifice epitomizes the challenge underlying climate change: if global warming is to be curbed, comfortable lifestyles in developed countries must be amended......
...The intervention with the highest average effect size is choice architecture (nudges)...
“Choice architecture” sounds so innocuous, but in my opinion it is a deeply unpleasant form of government coercion..."

Read of the week!!-----Abolish Foreign Aid, All of It

Abolish Foreign Aid, All of It
"As most everyone knows, the federal government is now in debt to the tune of more than $22 trillion.

  • On the welfare-state side, the big-ticket items are Social Security and Medicare...
  • On the warfare-state side, the big-ticket items are the Pentagon, the military-industrial complex...
  • In the middle of this fiscal morass are a multitude of mid-sized or small-sized federal programs, such as the drug war, farm subsidies, education grants, the SBA, and Radio Martí.
Abolishing all of them would go a long way toward resolving the fiscal crisis.
See the source image... Yet, to even suggest such a thing brings howls of lamentation, despair, and rage from both conservatives and liberals.
...So, where does that leave the nation?
On a track toward national bankruptcy, where the federal government lacks the money to cover its welfare-warfare state spending and, at the same time, service the interest on its debt, much less pay down the debt.
Think Greece.
At some point, things could get pretty nasty, with the feds desperately looking everywhere they can to seize money, such as IRA accounts and 401k accounts, and replace them with government bonds, much like President Franklin Roosevelt did during the emergency economic crisis in the 1930s when he seized everyone’s gold and replaced it with government bonds.
But here’s an idea: Why not abolish foreign aid, all foreign aid?
After all, foreign aid is really nothing more than welfare for foreign officials...
What do those foreign officials do with it?
Some of them line their personal pockets with it.
Others use it to help cover governmental expenses.
The obvious question arises: Why should the American people be plundered and looted to subsidize the personal lifestyles of foreign officials or to subsidize foreign governmental operations?...

Environmentalism: Evidence Suggests it Was Always and Only About Achieving World Government | Watts Up With That?

Environmentalism: Evidence Suggests it Was Always and Only About Achieving World Government | Watts Up With That?--Guest Opinion: Dr. Tim Ball
"It is common sense to protect our environment, but what has occurred for 50 years is exploitation of that idea for a socialist agenda.
See the source image...We now know 50 years later that every single prediction concerning the environmental demise of the Earth and the people made in the original Earth Day Report was wrong.
We also know that every additional claim, such as overpopulation, global warming, sea level rise, desertification, deforestation, and sea ice collapse, among many others, were wrong.
...Convince the people that the entire world is threatened, and you can convince them that no nation can save it.
It is then easy to convince them that a world government is the only way to save the planet.
The trouble is that none of it is true.
The World is in good shape, and people are living longer and healthier lives in every nation..."
