"I think people are trying to make this into a different story than what it is," Whitmer said Sunday on CNN.
Late Saturday night, GOP state Reps. Annette Glenn of Midland and Mary Whiteford of South Haven sent Whitmer a letter asking that her office disclose "names of individual vendors with whom you or members of your staff have spoken, names of their companies, gubernatorial or agency phone logs, e-mails, etc. — so that we can immediately join you in taking quick action to remove any and all roadblocks."
"What you allege, governor, cannot be allowed to stand or continue," Glenn and Whiteford wrote..."

Humberside Police in northern England has built a website for citizens to inform on their neighbours for violating the government’s rules on daily exercise and social distancing.
You can only go for one walk a day.
If you go out twice, you can be reported to the police.

People’s worst instincts are coming to the fore.
This is what amazed me: the Derbyshire police have sent drones out, to catch citizens going for unauthorized walks:Despite posts yesterday highlighting issues of people still visiting the #PeakDistrict despite government guidance, the message is still not getting through. @DerPolDroneUnit have been out at beauty spots across the county, and this footage was captured at #CurbarEdge last night..."

Here Are The Pro-Life Protections In The $2 Trillion Coronavirus Emergency Relief Package | The Daily Caller:
Senate Republicans won several pro-life protections in the CARES Act that ensured federal funding will not be used to pay for abortions. These protections include disqualifying Planned Parenthood from receiving aid, ensuring that health care spending in the bill is covered by Hyde Amendment protections, and extending the Sexual Risk Avoidance Education Program — a program that teaches abstinence until marriage.
“Republicans won critical pro-life protections in this relief package, despite a last-minute attempt by Democrats to make Planned Parenthood eligible for disaster-relief funding,” Sen. Tom Cotton told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Friday.

THEY WANT A STAMPEDE: Distortion and fear...
THEY WANT A STAMPEDE:
- The US is nowhere near having the highest number of cases per capita.
Look at the cases per million numbers here, and you’ll see that the US has one of the world’s lowest rates (at the moment, anyway), not the highest at all. (currently 21st in the world)
That will change and go up, of course, as testing continues.
But it’s the more important statistic than sheer number of cases, although neither tells us very much right now.
- Then there’s deaths per million.

Joy Reid fretted, "Of course, it's hardly news that Trump has always had designs on reigning as a monarch with unlimited power, rather than serving as a mere president in a democracy. Joe Biden Said To Believe Women Who Say They’re Sexual Assault Victims. Now He’s Denying A Woman’s Sexual Assault Accusation | The Daily Caller:
Former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign on Friday denied the sexual assault allegations coming from a former Senate staffer, but in 2018 he said that any woman’s public claims of sexual assault should be believed to be true.
As Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh continued to be accused of sexual misconduct throughout his confirmation hearings, Biden sat down for an interview with The Washington Post to discuss the allegations, saying that all women who say they are sexual assault victims should be believed.
