"Pension Tracker, a project of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research led by former California State Assemblyman Joe Nation, Ph.D., is out with its updated assessment of the nation’s unfunded state and local government pension fund liabilities.
It’s not a pretty picture—especially if you live in Alaska, California, Connecticut or Illinois where your per household pension debt ranges from $102,084 to $76,398...

Mag: Sex Misconduct Allegations 'Swirling Around Biden' for Years

Image result for Wiki Commons Images Joe BidenMag: Sex Misconduct Allegations 'Swirling Around Biden' for Years:

A 2008 column in the far-left magazine CounterPunch accusing Joe Biden of “loutish sexual advances” in the U.S. Senate has become a lightning rod in the debate over Biden and his former staffer Tara Reade’s allegation of sexual assault in 1993.
The article, written by the late Alexander Cockburn, lamented then-presidential candidate Barack Obama’s choice of Biden as a running mate in August 2008. Biden, in Cockburn’s view, was an empty and worthless swamp creature, a D.C. insider chosen purely to improve Obama’s electoral odds who would ultimately stifle any progressive agenda for the candidate of “Hope and Change.”

Be afraid, very afraid!-----The Inevitable Coronavirus Censorship Crisis is Here - Reporting by Matt Taibbi

The Inevitable Coronavirus Censorship Crisis is Here - Reporting by Matt Taibbi:
  • As the Covid-19 crisis progresses, censorship programs advance, amid calls for China-style control of the Internet
"Earlier this week, Atlantic magazine – fast becoming the favored media outlet for self-styled intellectual elites of the Aspen Institute type – ran an in-depth article of the problems free speech pose to American society in the coronavirus era.
The headline:
Internet Speech Will Never Go Back to Normal
"In the debate over freedom versus control of the global network, China was largely correct, and the U.S. was wrong."
...They went on to list all the reasons that, given that we’re already on an “inexorable” path to censorship, a Chinese-style system of speech control may not be such a bad thing.
In fact, they argued, a benefit of the coronavirus was that it was waking us up to “how technical wizardry, data centralization, and private-public collaboration can do enormous public good.”
Perhaps, they posited, Americans could be moved to reconsider their “understanding” of the First and Fourth Amendments, as “the harms from digital speech” continue to grow, and “the social costs of a relatively open Internet multiply.”
This interesting take on the First Amendment was the latest in a line of “Let’s rethink that whole democracy thing” pieces that began sprouting up in earnest four years ago..."

Coronavirus hype biggest political hoax in history - Washington Times

Coronavirus hype biggest political hoax in history - Washington Times
"...The response to the coronavirus is hyped.
And in time, this hype will be revealed as politically hoaxed.
In fact, COVID-19 will go down as one of the political world’s biggest, most shamefully overblown, overhyped, overly and irrationally inflated and outright deceptively flawed responses to a health matter in American history, one that was carried largely on the lips of medical professionals who have no business running a national economy or government.
The facts are this: COVID-19 is a real disease that sickens some, proves fatal to others, mostly the elderly — and does nothing to the vast majority.
...The data to keep America closed and Americans closed in simply doesn’t exist.
If truth be told, it’s questionable it ever did.
The scientists leading the coronavirus shutdown charge predicted in March that in America, between 100,000 and 250,000 would die.
They based those estimates on computer modeling.
But at the same time they were basing those estimates on computer modeling, they were acknowledging that computer modeling is inaccurate and errs on the side of hype.
“I’ve never seen a model of the diseases I’ve dealt with where the worst-case actually came out,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and a member of President Donald Trump’s White House coronavirus task force, during a CNN interview in March. “They always overshoot.”
Catch that?
Fauci’s message: Computer models are flawed and inaccurate and always overestimate the problem.
...Since, about 56,000 have died in America due to coronavirus — or have they?
Again, the facts are flimsy..."

Unreported: Democrat bill would use taxpayer money to ‘bring deported criminals’ back’ – World Tribune: Window on the Real World
From Feb. Bill not passed...yet!
"A new immigration bill being pushed by Democrats would not only decriminalize illegals entry into the U.S. but would use “taxpayer money to bring deported criminals back into America,” Fox News host Tucker Carlson reported on Thursday.
The New Way Forward Act is sponsored by 44 House Democrats, including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.
The bill would entirely remake our immigration system with the explicit purpose of ensuring that criminals are able to move to the United States, and settle here permanently, with impunity.”
The proposed legislation “decriminalizes illegal entry into America, even by those we’ve previously deported,” Carlson said. “According to a document promoting this bill, criminalizing illegal entry into America is quote, ‘white supremacist.’ ”...

Minneapolis Neighborhood Begins Broadcasting Islamic Call to Prayer over Loudspeakers

Minneapolis Neighborhood Begins Broadcasting Islamic Call to Prayer over Loudspeakers
"...A cultural line has been crossed.
According to the Star Tribune, “the Muslim call to prayer will be broadcast the traditional five times a day in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis, beginning with the start of Ramadan this week and continuing through the end of the religious holiday in May.
...the implications of this broadcast call to prayer...are ominous.
...what exactly is it broadcasting?
The adhan, prayed in Arabic, repeats “Allahu akbar” six times, “I testify that there is no god but Allah” three times, and “I testify that Muhammad is Allah’s prophet” twice.
Dr. Gavin Ashenden...observed that “the Muslim call to prayer is a dramatic piece of Islamic triumphalism.
It proclaims Islam’s superiority over all other religions, and in so doing casts Jesus in the role of a charlatan and a liar...

"Tens of thousands of health care workers across the United States are going without pay today, even as providers in the nation's hot spots struggle to contain the coronavirus pandemic
...But instead of merely preserving hospital beds and other resources, this heavy-handed injunction has created a burden of its own design: a historic number of empty beds in systems left untouched by the pandemic.
At 18 percent of the U.S. economy, health care is a $3.6 trillion industry annually.
By barring all elective surgeries, which covers a huge array of operations, like knee reconstructions or even cancer biopsies, hospitals have been denied billions in revenue in just the last month alone.
Outpatient services account for half of all hospital revenue, which means hospitals are now making, and spending, half what they were this time last year..."

"The reluctance of progressive Democrats to return the country to a normal, functioning status seems more directed at proving the problem was real..." --Fans of Best of the Web Today

See the source imageFans of Best of the Web Today--Michael Smith
"The Coronavirus scare will go down in history as the first postmodern pandemic, revealing that the actions of postmodernist progressives are more directed toward the maintenance of the problem rather than solving it.
Why would they prolong the pain, one might ask?
Well, it's the same old reasons - it's power and relevance.
The pandemic gives them both - during the pandemic, they get to exercise power without objection they normally wouldn't and by impoverishing the citizenry through economic shutdowns, they get to dole out money to prove they are relevant.
The reluctance of progressive Democrats to return the country to a normal, functioning status seems more directed at proving the problem was real than healing a nation from what history will record was the greatest self-inflicted economic wound a country could vest on itself.

Tucker Carlson Delivers Another Epic Monologue, Calls Out ‘Egregious Censorship Effort’ Of Big Tech - Chicks On The Right
"...Last night, Carlson addressed troubling censorship by big tech.
He highlighted the case of the California doctors that have been censored on YouTube.
Mock wrote about these physicians and their video that was making the rounds to millions on the internet.
These doctors had the nerve to question the need to lockdown and compared COVID-19 data to the flu.
YouTube simply could not allow this and removed their video.
Carlson warned, “…dissent of any kind, is no longer tolerated in this country. Fact-based honesty, which is the soul of science, is under attack, even in hospitals.”
From Fox News:
“People have different opinions,” Carlson said.

More informed debate is exactly what we need to make wise decisions going forward, but unfortunately for all of us, informed debate is exactly what the authorities don’t want.
They want unquestioned obedience, so they’re cracking down on free expression.”...
“The only justification for taking it down was that the two physicians on screen had reached different conclusions from the people currently in charge.” Carlson said.

YouTube’s CEO told CNN it is their policy to remove “medically unsubstantiated” information and anything that goes against World Health Organization recommendations.
This is terrifying.
...Differing medical opinions should be discussed and debated.
Who among us, if found to have a serious medical condition, does not seek a second opinion?
The WHO has not proven to be an accurate source of information about the coronavirus over the course of this crisis.
Remember when they initially claimed that the virus could not transmit human to human?
And more than that, they have shown themselves to be a nakedly political organization.
YouTube is not the only influential platform censoring speech.
Facebook is also taking part in this dangerous practice...

"Rutgers University Associate Professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Brittney Cooper says Trump supporters are to blame for the disproportionate number of black Americans who have died as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
In a tweet thread on Tuesday, Cooper wrote, "I feel like most Black people are clear that this utterly absurd to push [sic] to re-open the country is all about a gross necropolitical calculation that it is Black people who are dying disproportionately from COVID.
Not only do white conservatives not care about Black life, but my most cynical negative read of the white supremacists among them is that they welcome this massive winnowing of Black folks in order to slow demographic shifts and shore up political power."
