For all his soaring rhetoric, former President Barack Obama really is nothing more than a typical, cheap Washington politician brimming with false promises. And Joe Biden is even worse. He is Barack Obama minus the pretty talk.

More Evidence That Shutdowns Are Useless | Power Line
"Governments around the world have responded to COVID-19 with more or less harsh (but, of course, never complete) shutdowns of economic and social activity.
The costs of these shutdowns have been enormous, obvious and undeniable, while the alleged benefits have been hypothetical and speculative.
As experience with the virus accumulates, there is, I think, a growing consensus that the shutdowns have been worthless, or close to worthless.
Dr. Gilbert Berdine, an associate professor of medicine at Texas Tech University’s Health Sciences Center, assembles some revealing information in the form of this chart, which compares daily COVID deaths per million of population in Sweden, New York, Illinois and Texas.
First, a note of caution.
I don’t know, and I am not sure whether anyone knows, whether different countries (or even states) count “COVID deaths” in the same way.
If American states follow CDC guidance, a “COVID death” does not mean that COVID was the cause of death.
It means that a person 1) died, and 2) had COVID.
Thus, gunshot victims have been counted as COVID deaths.
Do European countries follow this extremely misleading practice, and do states follow it uniformly?
I don’t know.
With that caveat, here is the chart.

Sooo, he's just a great guy maligned?-----Was Jacob Blake Charged With Raping a Child?

"...Analysis
In July 2020...According to a criminal complaint filed by the Kenosha County District Attorney’s office in July 2020, Blake is accused of having entered his ex-girlfriend’s home in Kenosha, without her permission, on May 3, 2020, before sexually assaulting her, taking her car and debit card, and making two ATM withdrawals of $500 each.
...Some readers might find it disturbing because it contains descriptions of alleged sexual assault and domestic abuse.
...A search of Blake’s name in Wisconsin Circuit Court records revealed only

  • child support disputes and
  • a June 2018 conviction in Racine County on a charge of operating a vehicle without being in possession of a driver’s license, which is not a criminal offense and was resolved with a fine...
  • In September 2015, the Racine County Eye reported that Blake had been arrested after brandishing a gun at a bar in Racine,
  • and that officers required the assistance of a police dog when Blake allegedly refused to comply with their orders. He was charged with several offenses, including:
  • felony resisting arrest “causing a soft tissue injury to a police officer”;
  • carrying a firearm while intoxicated; and
  • endangering safety by the use of a dangerous weapon.

However, Blake was never tried or convicted on those charges, and in August 2020, the Racine County Eye reported that the charges appear to have been dismissed at the urging of the prosecutor and no longer appear in public court records...Read all.

Robert Vlaisavljevich, a lifelong Democrat and mayor of Eveleth, Minnesota, blasted “weak,” “scared,” and “sleepy” Joe Biden (D) for failing to stand up to “radicals like AOC,” instead allowing them to craft his environmental policy like the Green New Deal, which he described as a “job-killing disgrace dreamt up by people who don’t live in the real world.”

Mark McCloskey: Democrat Prosecutor Hounding My Family:

McCloskey added, “About 250 people got arrested for those riots. The circuit attorney has let them all out of jail and is not prosecuting any of them. On the other hand, when we do nothing but defend our property, don’t put off a shot, no one gets hurt, we get arrested. If that’s not protecting the criminals against honest citizens, I don’t know what the heck it is.”

"I DVRed the national news on ABC, CBS and NBC so I could fast forward to the RNC coverage.
Image result for Trump Media BiasIt is amazing how uniformly negative it is and how all three perfectly dovetail with each other in asserting that the Republicans are just lying.
Also, very, very little coverage of the riots and when there was, the rioters were uniformly called "protesters". ABC reported on Kenosha from the rioters angle and basically said that it was Trump's "climate of racism and violence" that started it all.
I don't think they can do anything else.
They have repeated these lies for so long, they now believe their own lies.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised because they were just in sync on praise for the DNC last week.
There is no doubt that if you only watched one of these outlets, you would have a negative perspective of the Republicans.
It is remarkable to witness the agitprop and propaganda in a quantity and quality the Soviets could only dream about."

The incident unfolded Monday evening in Fort Mill, South Carolina.
The Fort Mill Police Department said in a statement posted to its Facebook page that the officers were called to the demonstration at about 6:50 p.m.
Demonstrators told them that three men in a vehicle drove by their group several times and yelled obscenities at them. They claimed that the driver of the vehicle extended his hand out with what appeared to be a gun and they heard gunshots ring out.
