Health Expert: Mask Wearing Will Remain Mandatory Even After a COVID Vaccine

  • A top doctor who served as an expert witness for the U.S. Congress says that even after a COVID-19 vaccine is available, mask wearing and other social distancing measures will remain mandatory.

“I feel like there is this perception that once we have a #CoronavirusVaccine life will go back to normal,” tweeted Dr.Krutika Kuppalli.

“Life will not be like it was pre-COVID. Even after we have a #vaccine you will still need to use good hand hygiene, maintain physical distance, avoid crowds and wear masks,” she added.

...In a CNN article written by their international security editor Nick Paton Walsh, the author asserted that the mandatory wearing of masks will become “permanent,” “just part of life,” and that the public would need to “come to terms with it.”...Read all.

What Happens if No One Wins? - The American Mind
The Constitution provides for election crises—and its provisions favor Trump.
...All of the ingredients seem to be present: a closely and bitterly divided electorate; the threat of violence and disruption on Election Day or after; and the unusual circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In this essay we provide a short roadmap through the main legal and constitutional issues that could arise if Election Day fails to result in a clear winner of the presidency, identify opportunities for political mischief, and explain why the weight of the constitutional structure favors President Donald Trump in a contested election...Read all.

Cheese eating surrender monkeys!-----French Ambassador After Islamist Beheading: “France is a Muslim Country”

French Ambassador After Islamist Beheading: “France is a Muslim Country”
Responding to the beheading of a school teacher by an Islamist in Paris, French ambassador to Sweden Etienne de Gonneville told broadcaster SVT, “France is a Muslim country.”
Yes, really.
Samuel Paty was decapitated by an 18-year-old Chechen jihadist in revenge for showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to pupils in a class on free speech.
The country responded with mass protest marches in major cities and President Emmanuel Macron vowed to protect freedom of expression in honor of the victim.
However, Macron’s vow to take the fight to Islamists has caused uproar in many Muslim countries, notably Turkey, who have effectively sided with jihadism by announcing boycotts on French products.
Now France’s ambassador to Sweden has himself appeared to capitulate to Islamists by declaring, “France is a Muslim country.”

Must read!----Do Masks Work? | Power Line

Do Masks Work? | Power Line
"With regard to COVID, we are awash in unreliable or even intentionally misleading empirical claims.
A neurosurgeon from D.C. who understands statistics analyzes a popular claim that is being made on behalf of mask mandates.
I encountered a Washington Post figure making its way through social media, suggesting that not wearing masks is conclusively the reason for COVID spread:

If you look at the figure closely, the y-axis is “% who know someone with COVID-19.”
Why on earth would any reasonable scientist or public health official use this “survey” variable to honestly study a scientific/public health effect?
The reason is, it is not true.
I pulled the % wearing masks variable from the graph (in and by itself a dubious measurement), and correlated it with the Rt value (that you can pull from Rt.live).
The RT value is the exponential coefficient that suggests growth (>1) vs contraction (<1) of the virus.
I then plotted the results:

There is no correlation whatsoever.
The “trend line” I plotted has a 0.02 correlation (1.0 means full correlation).
When you take the outliers out (WY, RI, MS, DC, SD), the correlation drops to 0.01.
In fact, some of the states with the worst RTs right now (NJ, CT, MA, RI) have the highest “mask wearing” percentages!
Furthermore, the graph is titled “Fewer covid-19 symptoms reported in states with higher rates of mask use” — which is completely wrong! The data do not graph symptoms, only the loose perceptions of individuals who “know” someone, who were surveyed.
The fact that this passes off as “journalism” or “science” is incredibly pathetic — and it is being “liked” on social media by people who should know better.
The reasons for this are the obvious political implications.
Hope you can make a comment or two regarding this.
People need to understand what is going on here!
This kind of fake science is rampant, and as our correspondent says, the motivation is political.
The Washington Post is like the New York Times; no one should take anything it says seriously."

Another Twitter user, a "life-time Girl Scout", said she was "ashamed" of the post.

Whacked out libs!-----Baltimore Museum of Art sale of Warhol painting criticized - The Washington Post

Baltimore Museum of Art sale of Warhol painting criticized - The Washington Post
"The Baltimore Museum of Art continues to be hit by criticism and turmoil — including the resignations of artists Amy Sherald and Adam Pendleton from the board of trustees — since announcing earlier this month that it would sell three paintings by Andy Warhol, Clyfford Still and Brice Marden to generate $65 million for diversity and equity programs.
Now, two former museum board chairmen say they’ve rescinded planned gifts totaling $50 million.
...Other donors Newhall has spoken to are considering canceling gifts...
Newhall rejected Segal’s statement and characterized it as part of a pattern. “We never put anything in writing, but I ran that campaign for five years. I’m sure it’s in the minutes of the various board meetings,” he said. “That’s what they are doing about everything. They are denying everything. They lie.”
...The BMA intends to spend $10 million to acquire art made by women and artists of color and $1 million for equity programs.
It will place the balance — an estimated $54 million — in an endowment that will yield $2 million to $2.5 million annually for the museum’s work to improve equity, diversity and inclusion.
Bedford said the museum had “a moral imperative” to undertake a bold plan to address systemic racism and injustice...Read all.

30 Officers Injured in Anti-Police Protests in Philadelphia - Washington Free Beacon
"At least 30 police officers were injured in Philadelphia on Monday night—including one sergeant who was hit by a truck—while responding to anti-police riots.
Unrest broke out in West Philadelphia after police fatally shot a black man who, they say, had brandished a knife while running toward officers.
NBC 10 Philadelphia reported that rioters then set police cars and dumpsters on fire and looted stores and restaurants.
Rioters also threw rocks and other projectiles at dozens of officers, who were later taken to the hospital.

Anti-Cop Rioters Injure 30 Philadelphia Police Officers -- 1 Remains Hospitalized

Rioters in Philadelphia sent 30 police officers to the hospital during the chaos that ensued following the officer-involved shooting of an armed Black man. One female police sergeant remains hospitalized with a broken leg sustained after being run down by a pickup truck. Riots and looting broke out Monday night in Philadelphia after two police officers shot and killed a Black man who chased them with a knife, Breitbart News reported.  Hundreds of protesters took to the streets and began assaulting officers, looting vehicles and stores, and setting at least one police vehicle on fire.

From the left-coast paradise. Soon to visit your state?

"We here in 2nd-world California don’t have drifting snow (hi, Colorado!) but we don’t have electricity either.
Our utility, PG&E, has imposed yet another “Public Safety Power Shutdown,” beginning at 8:00 p.m. last night and continuing until who knows when.
(All the areas marked with a magenta triangle on the map have no power.)
PG&E’s justification is that high winds were forecast, causing extreme fire danger.
But, there hasn’t been even a mild breeze, before the shutdown or since then.
Apparently no one at PG&E can stick their head out a window and look at the ACTUAL WEATHER. So we’ve once again rolled the generator out of the garage and fired it up, so at least we can keep the refrigerator running, the lights on, and our phones charged.
(A gasoline-powered generator has to be one of the dirtiest means of generating electricity.)
Come to find that our Internet provider, Comcast, in solidarity with PG&E, has shut down all Internet service to the affected areas, despite the fact that the cable is UNDERGROUND and poses no fire risk.
This is what happens when the state imposes strict liability on utilities for all fire damages caused by a downed wire, regardless of negligence.
The utility has zero incentives to keep the power on."

Video: Female Cop Run Over by BLM Mob in Philadelphia

A video out of Philadelphia shows a female police officer being run over by a truck driven by BLM rioters as another night of chaos unfolded.

The rioters hit the streets after the police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr. in an incident being described as yet another unprovoked murder of a black man.

In reality, footage of the incident shows Wallace Jr. ignoring numerous warnings from police officers to drop the weapon as he advances on them before being shot.

However, as we have seen multiple times over the past 5 months, Black Lives Matter agitators don’t let the facts get in the way of yet another chance to riot.

A female sergeant suffered a broken leg as she was struck by a speeding vehicle.
