FNC's Carlson: 'This Is the Most Sweeping and Audacious Assault on Civil Liberties in American History'
Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson warned about the tactics employed by Democrats and their allies to suppress dissent and so-called divisive rhetoric of their political opponents.

Carlson said such treatment with the intention of accumulating power could ultimately result in more radicalism.

However, the Insurance Information Institute reported on Property Claim Services (PCS), a company that tracked insurance claims during the Black Lives Matter riots that took place from May 26-June 8, 2020, caused the most costly damage of any civil disorders in U.S. history. According to PCS, the riots amassed an enormous amount of damage that caused between $1-2 billion in insurance claims from property owners. Despite claims of few “incidents,” the facts show that several of these protests, namely the ones that took place in Minneapolis, MN, and Kenosha, WI, resulted in massive damages and financial losses.

Electric Cars Aren’t Nearly as Green as People Think

Electric Cars Aren’t Nearly as Green as People Think
  • Next time you see an electric car or a charging station, keep in mind the emissions involved in producing the battery and the electricity used to keep it running.
"...Although electric cars are a step in the right direction, their production and charging still contribute to CO2 levels, in some cases even more than gas cars.
...Carbon dioxide emissions don’t just come out of a tailpipe.
Electric cars emit CO2 both in their production and during their charging.
First, the production of the electric batteries requires lithium, cobalt, and manganese. Manufactures end up expending a large amount of energy on mining and processing these raw materials.
...Next time you see an electric car or a charging station, keep in mind the emissions involved in producing the battery and the electricity used to keep it running.
...At the end of the day, the direct comparison between electric cars and gas cars is irrelevant.
What really matters is the overall amount of carbon emissions involved in the production, charging, and driving of a car throughout its lifetime...Read all.

We need more than deplatforming - The Mozilla Blog
"There is no question that social media played a role in the siege and take-over of the US Capitol on January 6.
...But as reprehensible as the actions of Donald Trump are, the rampant use of the internet to foment violence and hate, and reinforce white supremacy is about more than any one personality.
Donald Trump is certainly not the first politician to exploit the architecture of the internet in this way, and he won’t be the last.
We need solutions that don’t start after untold damage has been done.
Changing these dangerous dynamics requires more than just the temporary silencing or permanent removal of bad actors from social media platforms.
Additional precise and specific actions must also be taken:
  • Reveal who is paying for advertisements, how much they are paying and who is being targeted.
  • Commit to meaningful transparency of platform algorithms so we know how and what content is being amplified, to whom, and the associated impact.
  • Turn on by default the tools to amplify factual voices over disinformation.
  • Work with independent researchers to facilitate in-depth studies of the platforms’ impact on people and our societies, and what we can do to improve things.
These are actions the platforms can and should commit to today.
The answer is not to do away with the internet, but to build a better one that can withstand and gird against these types of challenges.
This is how we can begin to do that...Read all.

Democrat Lawmakers Reintroduce Bill for Nationwide Mail-in Voting

Two Democrat lawmakers introduced a bill on Thursday, dubbed the “Vote at Home Act,” to expand “Oregon-style” mail-in voting nationwide, contending that the move is necessary to “make real progress” in the country.

The billintroduced by Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), is designed to “fight voter suppression” as detailed by Wyden’s press release. The measure would “massively expand vote-at-home ballot access, provide voters with pre-paid ballot envelopes and enact automatic voter registration.”

University of Michigan research shows Whitmer's tough coronavirus measures saved lives | News Hits
"On Wednesday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer delivered her third State of the State address, touting her administration's success in "flattening the curve" of coronavirus cases in Michigan.
That included a "Pause to Save Lives" issued on Nov. 15, a painful blow to industries ordered to close, including bars and restaurants.
But was the pause successful in saving lives?
According to preliminary research from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, yes.
"Our modeling suggests that the state’s social distancing measures, although challenging for Michiganders, prevented illness and deaths, providing some relief to our already stretched health care system," said associate professor Marisa Eisenberg....

Google deletes 100,000 negative reviews of Robinhood on app store - TheBlaze

On Thursday, after the stock trading app Robinhood froze trades of GameStop and other "volatile" stocks, outraged customers flooded app stores to give furious one-star reviews proclaiming their displeasure. In response, Google intervened to delete the negative reviews on the Google Play Store and protect the Robinhood app's reputation. Google confirmed that it acted to delete the negative reviews to The Verge, claiming that the dissatisfied Robinhood customers leaving negative reviews violated Google's policies by intentionally trying to drive down the app's rating.

McGill Students Tried to 'Cancel' Me Over PJ Media Articles
"An open letter published by the McGill Student Society cited my publications in PJ Media and demanded that McGill University cancel me.
More specifically, the society demanded that my status as Emeritus Professor of Anthropology be revoked.
This letter was signed by the
  • McGill Student society,
  • anthropology undergraduate and graduate societies,
  • four student Middle Eastern and Islamic groups, and
  • a black student group.
The open letter targeted a more general policy, that of academic freedom.
The view expressed in the open letter is that academic freedom should not allow opinions that the signatories disagree with or facts that they might find uncongenial.
The signatories believe that they should be the arbiters of what may be thought, said, and written.
This is an ambitious role for students to claim, rather akin to a ministry of truth in a closed, Soviet, or Maoist dictatorship...Read all.

Bill Gates' latest venture imperils America: Will we submit, again?

The amount of wealth and power Gates continues to amass at the hands of the people's suffering is right out of Mao Zedong's "Little Red Book," also known as the playbook for communistic rule. Every man, woman and child living in the United States should be required to read it and see for themselves. And while doing so, they should also take a gander at this video, which spells out exactly what is happening to the way of life we have cherished for so long as well as how we got there. This just didn't happen overnight, folks, nor did it happen without our consent.

In that case, you can only sell. They, the esteemed members of the system, on the other hand, can do what they want at any point to win the rigged game.

Climate Science Victim of Fake News | Science Matters
"A recent article in the legacy media needed some editorial work in the public interest.
Published at the Business Post, it began this way:
'Climate science has long been the victim of ‘fake news’ obscuring uncomfortable truths. By pouncing on supposed uncertainties in climate science, big business interests and their supporters in the media divert attention away from the real climate emergency.'
...that is so misleading that a “False Alarm” label should be attached by fact checkers.
In their absence, the next best thing is to rewrite to set the record straight and eliminate the falsehoods and hype.
...Climate science has long been the victim of ‘false alarms’ obscuring the remarkable stability of our climate system.
By exaggerating the dangers from extreme weather, entrenched environmental lobbies and ignorant media supporters frighten people for the sake of their tax-subsidized enterprises.
