A recent Hill-HarrisX poll found that a slim majority of registered voters believe that chief medical adviser to the president Dr. Anthony Fauci should resign.
Fauci, who has served as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, has proven to be a highly controversial and polarizing figure during the coronavirus pandemic.
In the recently conducted survey, 52% indicated that Fauci should resign, while 48% indicated that he should not.
