Be Grateful for Global Warming - CO2 Coalition

Be Grateful for Global Warming - CO2 Coalition

"... much of the recent advancement in human prosperity would have been impossible without the temperature increases of the last several hundred years?

A key to the sustenance of any society is food security. Today’s world should be grateful for today’s relative warmth as well as higher levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide levels because both have been instrumental in propelling plant growth globally.

...Past warming periods were much warmer than our modern temperatures and were associated with times of great prosperity. The intervening cold eras had names like Greek Dark Ages, the Dark Ages and Little Ice Age and were linked to crop failure, pestilence and mass depopulation.

According to historian Wolfgang Behringer, “…cooling has always resulted in major social upheavals, whereas warming has sometimes led to a blossoming of culture...Read all.

Goldie Hawn says mental health of children suffering from pandemic - TheBlaze

She warned that the answer is not to allow kids to "be over-diagnosed or shuffled through a system that screens and treats extreme cases after they are too late."

"We will survive the COVID-19 pandemic, but I’m not sure we can survive an entire generation whose collective trauma sends them hobbling into adulthood. We need more research, more preventative care and more early intervention. And there’s still time," Hawn concluded. "If we get it right, today’s kids could emerge as the strongest generation America has ever produced."

Summit County Coroner’s Office sees record number of deaths in 2021
"The Summit County Coroner’s office handled a record-breaking number of cases in 2021, and Summit County Coroner Regan Wood does not like the trajectory as it relates to substance use and alcohol.
Her office investigated 97 deaths in 2021, which is 10 (11.5% increase) more than the previous record of 87 deaths in 2015.
...It’s these accidental deaths — specifically the 18 deaths related to substance use and alcohol— that she is worried about.
Nine of those were drug overdoses and five of those overdoses tested for fentanyl in their system.
Wood said the nine alcohol-related deaths, or people who “drank themselves to death,” was also alarming.
Wood said these alcohol-related cases involved people between the ages of 30 and 55...Read all!

Ron DeSantis Releases New Ad Against Anthony Fauci - Louder With Crowder

Ron DeSantis is no fan of Dr. Anthony Fauci. America's most popular unelected government bureaucrat can be polarizing. You either enjoy living in constant fear and look to him for permission to live your life, or you're not a mindless nincompoop and enjoy freedom. Ron DeSantis, America's Governor, famously decided early to do the opposite of what Fauci said. It's what made him America's Governor and what made Florida a target destination for people leaving authoritarian states.

"...like this stunt pulled by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow:Redfern is the (republican) press secretary for the Florida Department of Health.
Now, it’s possible that while they reached out to comment at the last minute for some reason, he’s not wrong that it’s often an attempt to honestly say you asked for a comment without actually having to get a comment.
And based on the way Maddow framed his response on her show—in a manner made to look particularly flippant but also to hide the games her staff played—I’d be very surprised if that’s the case.
...Yet what Maddow forgets is that if this were done by email, then Redfern has a copy as well.
Only a fool would think he wouldn’t release it.
...Meanwhile, people like Maddow and her buddies and MSNBC and CNN seriously wonder why the American public doesn’t trust the media anymore.
They’re shocked and appalled not to be held in the highest esteem.
But why would anyone hold them as such?...Read all!

Biden administration introduces plan to lower speed limits and expand bike lanes in bid to reach 'zero' traffic fatalities - TheBlaze

The transportation secretary's plan to reach "zero roadway fatalities" is to spend $5 billion in grants and issue guidance encouraging cities to lower speed limits, adopt safer road design by creating dedicated bike and bus lanes, and improve street lighting and crosswalks. Funding for the grants was included in the $1.2 trillion infrastructure law signed by President Joe Biden, which also included $4 billion in funding for the Highway Safety Improvement Program, DOT said.

Professor/school board member: Treat unvaxxed students like ‘knife-wielders,’ ‘the intoxicated’
"A member of a Chicago-area district school board, who also happens to be a college professor, recently compared unvaccinated students to “knife-wielders” and “the intoxicated.”
Marcelo Sztainberg, a computer science professor and associate dean at Northeastern Illinois University, made the analogy at a January 10 Glenbrook 225 school board meeting, North Cook News reports.
“If a student shows up (to school) with a knife, we won’t let them in,” Sztainberg said.
“If someone is intoxicated, we won’t let them in. Why is it different with COVID? Why is the district pushing people to take a risk sitting with people who won’t take any mitigation? At what point do we say this is not safe? […] There are so many issues for which we won’t let a student in.”...Read all.

Important read, explains much.-----The New Lysenkoism | City Journal

The New Lysenkoism | City Journal
"...A strange thing is happening to the venerable magazine Scientific American.
It has decided to kick its science-loving readers in the teeth and embrace a modern equivalent of Lysenkoism—the doctrine that required Soviet biologists to ignore evolution and the genetics of plants.
The great biologist Edward O. Wilson died on December 26.
...They surely didn’t expect that the oeuvre of this globally renowned scientist would be labeled by Scientific American, just three days after his death, as “built on racist ideas.”
Why...has been infected by a taste-destroying, judgment-paralyzing malady: the virus of progressive wokeness.
...Woke theory provides the platform for
  • putting opponents on the defensive,
  • grabbing more spoils for practitioners of identity politics, and
  • smearing as racist anyone who dares dispute the premise of the whole racket—that people have no genetic differences.
Since no one wants to be called a racist, the intimidation works perfectly and is spreading an ever-widening circle of fear in campuses, corporations, and media...
  • One reason is that in today’s academic world, scholars are deeply dependent on the support of others to gain government grants or get their papers accepted by journals. Even one negative vote in the peer-review committee can be fatal to careers. Because of this intense interdependence, academics can’t afford any accusation of racism, however unmerited. Unfortunately, this means that it’s all too easy to bully people into silence. A handful of activists have succeeded in terrifying campuses across the nation with their odious brand of obscurantism...Read all!!

Why Can't the CDC Admit There Is No Solid Evidence To Support 'Universal Masking' in Schools?
  • Supporters of that policy assume it works, then desperately search for evidence to validate that conviction.
...But the episode illustrated how eager people who favor school mask mandates are to trumpet any evidence, no matter how iffy, that seems to support their preexisting policy preferences.
That tendency extends to public health officials, including the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), who claim to be following the science but in this case are desperately searching for validation of a policy that was adopted without any firm empirical basis...Read all!

"In Florida, we saw over a 90 percent reduction in total hospitalizations within a few months of implementing monoclonal antibody treatment, due in part both to the peak of our seasonal summer wave and also the success of over 4,000 new mAbs patients a day in our statewide treatment locations," Lamb said.

But it’s not just that these closures are counterproductive when it comes to reducing the spread of COVID-19; the damage done to children will not be easily fixed. As some have quipped, “two weeks to slow the spread” has turned into “two years to flatten a generation.”

NYC Cop Is Shot With an Illegal Weapon and the Shooter Walks. NYC Mayor Eric Adams Doesn't Have a Gun Problem, He Has a Sanity Problem

...A 16-year-old, up-and-coming rapper charged with shooting an NYPD cop in the Bronx walked free on bond Thursday — and cops are fuming over it.

Camrin Williams, who is also known by the rap name C Blu, posted his $250,000 bond after being locked up at a Brooklyn juvenile facility on gun and assault charges in the shooting of a 27-year-old cop in Belmont.

“C Blu” was already on probation for one weapons violation from 2020. During this incident, he fought with a cop and shot him, not fatally, with yet another illegal weapon. But never fear:

Williams reportedly planned to use an advance on his contract with Interscope Records to post the $15,000 in cash needed to secure the bond.

To summarize the story, we have a kid who has been arrested twice with illegal handguns and shot a cop, and he’s free on bond...Read all!

Exclusive — Rep. Greg Murphy: GOP Doctors Caucus Is ‘Infuriated’ that Fauci’s Policy ‘Has All Been About Vaccination’ and Not Therapeutics
...“We’re not going to vaccinate our way out of it,” Murphy, a urologist, said on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
...Fauci has been, ‘Vaccination, vaccination, vaccination,’ rather than therapeutics.”
He went on, “Duke University, just last week, posted they’re finally, finally, going to be studying — doing studies of — Ivermectin.
There’s been so much data, not only from this country but from other countries, that have shown that it has efficacy in this particular arena, and there are other things — fluvoxamine, probenecid — other drugs that could be repurposed but are not big sexy expensive drugs...
  • Murphy continued, “There should be something that we should be able to write and prescribe that’s not $800 a pill for people who test positive to try to get them better, not only keep them out of the hospital, but get them better, get them back to work, and let society function, I think this is a major problem.”
