Happy Easter from TheBlaze: The true meaning of Easter Sunday | Blaze Media

It should not be missed that Jesus inexplicably tied his death — the events of Easter and the Passion week — with the events preceding Jewish Passover. After all, Jesus himself was a Jew, as were his disciples, so the Jewish context was the best category available to communicate his teachings.

But there was a deeper meaning at hand. Indeed, the events of the Passion week should be examined in light of the narrative storyline of the Bible.

But the unique finding of the poll is what voters believe Biden's top accomplishment is: nothing. That's right. When pollsters asked respondents to name the Biden administration's top accomplishment, 38% of them couldn't name a single thing or they said that Biden's presidency has been a net-negative for the country.

San Francisco Creates a New Planter Permit - JOHN SEXTON

A group of about 30 homeless activists has filed complaints with the city about the planters which they call "hostile architecture."
AP Photo/Eric Risberg, File
"...A group of about 30 homeless activists has filed complaints with the city about the planters which they call "hostile architecture."
  • So residents and business owners started getting warnings from the city saying they had 30 days to remove the planters or they would be fined.
  • But that's not the end of this story. The Department of Public Works has announced that it will soon be requiring anyone who has or wants to have a planter out on the sidewalk to get a permit for it...

Philadelphia Fed Admits US Payrolls Overstated By At Least 800,000 | ZeroHedge

The first red flags emerged in the summer of 2022: that's when the Biden Labor Department started well and truly rigging the labor market data.
"...Regular readers may recall that it was back in July of 2022, when we first warned that something had "snapped" in the labor market: that's when a striking discrepancy emerged between the number of US Payrolls...and the number of actual Employed Workers (as measured by the BLS' far more accurate Household Survey) .
As we showed then, after the two series had tracked each other tick for tick for years, a wide gap opened in March 2022 which quickly grew to 1.5 million jobs in just 3 months...

... one which has since exploded to a whopping 5 million "employed workers" that apparently do not exist.

How to Repair the Key Bridge Without Breaking the Bank

Fortunately, it’s possible for Washington to help Maryland rebuild the bridge without driving the nation deeper into debt. - David Ditch / @davidaditch
  • First, all officials must be clear that the cost of rebuilding should mostly or entirely fall on the owners and operators of the ship...
  • Second, there’s no need for Congress to authorize new funding to begin the process of clearing the channel and rebuilding the bridge. In 2021, Congress passed a five-year, $1.2 trillion infrastructure package, the largest portion of which is devoted to roads and bridges.
Rather than simply adding to the long-term debt, Congress has many options to repurpose funds from the 2021 bill, including:
  • Canceling the administration’s $3.1 billion grant to California’s wildly dysfunctional high-speed rail project.
  • Reducing federal spending on programs for low-priority, local-only infrastructure such as hiking trails, bike paths, and sidewalks.
  • Pulling forward highway and bridge funds from allocations for 2025 and 2026 so they are available for the project starting in 2024...

Florida Sheriff Issues Awesome Warning to Squatters After DeSantis Announces Crackdown on the Insanity

As "squatting" continues to spread across the country, including by illegal aliens, and squatters have become savvier about their "rights" — which should be zero — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday announced, "We are ending it,"
  • If you had been told, say 20 years ago, that if you left your home unoccupied for a period (times vary in different states) and new "tenants" moved in on their own (in New York, for just 30 consecutive days), those "tenants" would acquire legal rights to stay put, for at least the time being, even after you proved ownership, what would you have thought?...

  • Extent is higher than 1996, and is one of the highest of the 21st century.
  • Instead of reporting on this, the press and academia continue to lie about "global boiling" and an imminent ice-free Arctic.

Illegal migrants who rushed National Guard soldiers in El Paso learn America is a land of laws | Blaze Media

After the incident, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) vowed "to arrest every illegal immigrant involved." Texas authorities are now making good on that promise. According to the New York Post, Texas authorities have arrested more than 70 migrants allegedly involved in the incident. They face misdemeanor rioting charges. Sources who spoke to the outlet, moreover, said that Texas authorities have identified more than 200 other migrants they believe were involved in the incident, but federal immigration authorities are not being cooperative. "These people were willing to assault military," a National Guard source told the Post. "They were willing to assault law enforcement. They have complete disregard for our laws."

'Equity-Based Algebra' Is as Bad as You Imagine It to Be

The CMF is a series of policy and curriculum "suggestions" designed to bring "equity" to the math scores of minority students. - RICK MORAN
"...Julia Steinberg has listed a few in The Free Press.
  • Most students won’t learn algebra until high school. In the past, when that was expected of middle schoolers, the CMF tells us, “success for many students was undermined.”
  • This means calculus will mostly be verboten because students can’t take calculus “unless they have taken a high school algebra course or Mathematics I in middle school.”
  • “Detracking” (ending advanced courses) will be the law of the land until high school; students will be urged to “take the same rich mathematics courses in kindergarten through eighth grade.”
  • Also, "letter grades will be discouraged in favor of 'standards-based assessments.'" It's not very clear what "standards-based assessments" are, but it sure sounds academic and harmless, right?

Biden Slapped with Massive Backlash After Trying to Replace Easter with Trans Holiday - 'Direct Assault on Christianity'

President Joe Biden unfortunately lacks tact and is far too senile to ever skillfully maneuver anything except perhaps his 2018 Cadillac he bragged to Special Counsel Robert Hur about. Instead, the aging Delaware politician went guns blazing straight ahead, loudly proclaiming that March 31, 2024, was TDOV.

Why haven't we seen VERY telling study on police & racism | Blaze Media

“I collected a lot of data,” Fryer, who is also African-American, said. “We collected millions of observations on everyday use of force that wasn’t lethal. We collected thousands of observations on lethal force, and it was in this moment in 2016 that I realized people lose their minds when they don’t like the result.”

Fryer noted that he found “some bias in the low-level uses of force everyday,” which included “pushing up against cars and things like that.”

“People seem to like that result,” he said. “But we didn’t find any racial bias in police shootings,” he continued, noting that he had eight full-time RAs that it took to do the study over the course of a year. When he found the result, he hired eight fresh ones — and the study came back the same.

California Won't Let Homeowners Insurance Companies Raise Rates, so They're Leaving the State Instead

Giving the state control over insurance rates turned pricing into a Byzantine regulatory process. - STEVEN GREENHUT
  • Reading insurance trade magazines isn't everyone's idea of a great time, but every Californian should pay attention to the latest news in that arcane world. "State Farm to pull out of 72,000 California insurance policies," blared a Reinsurance News headline
  • State Farm provides nearly 21 percent of state homeowner policies, so this is big news. Last year, it stopped writing new homeowner policies. Now it's "non-renewing" existing ones and getting out of apartment policies entirely...

"It’s always busy and seats are at a premium.
  • A sweet black lady asked if she could sit by me and she chatted about her quest to buy her 87-year old mom a yellow suit for Easter.
She was having a hard time as this season’s color is lavender.
  • She remarked how the stores were filled with merchandise and how the economy is so good thanks to “our wonderful president Biden.”
I said, you mean the guy with Parkinson dementia?
  • She said, with a tone of incredulity, “I did not know he was sick, this is the first I hear about this.”
What else could I possibly say to this woman, among the millions of ignorant voters just like her?
I left shortly after our “conversation” ended.
I wished her a Happy Good Friday.

What's Wrong With America's 'Elites'?, by Laura Hollis | Creators Syndicate

Over the past few years, news items about events on college campuses have come to dominate headlines...And the stories are often negative, if not outright shocking.
  • ...Across the country, Jewish students describe themselves as "living in a climate of hatred and fear" amid dramatic increases in antisemitic conduct, threats, slurs and actual violence...
  • This week, Stanford University sophomore Theo Baker published "The War at Stanford" in The Atlantic, in which he describes how the Israel-Hamas war has affected his campus...
  • In 2017, author Charles Murray's scheduled talk at Middlebury College was interrupted by a mob that later physically attacked him and his faculty host Allison Stanger. Stanger's hair was pulled so hard by a protester that she suffered a concussion...
So who are these "elite"?
Rasmussen explains that they are the top 1% of the population. They make more than $150,000 a year. They live in densely populated urban areas. They have not only college but postgraduate degrees. And large numbers of them "went to one of 12 elite schools."...
Not only does this group think it's acceptable to cheat to win an election, but 70% believe there is too much individual freedom in the United States, and an equal number trusts the government — which, of course, they control...
What's going on at our most prestigious and exclusive universities?
  • How have they produced generations of amoral, condescending authoritarians?
And how do we put a stop to it?...
