Mississippi tops U.S. obesity rankings
"Rounding out the top five states among adults were West Virginia, with 31.2 percent of its population considered obese; Alabama, 31.1 percent; Tennessee, 30.2 percent; and South Carolina 29.7 percent."

According to newsy.com, Colorado is the skinniest state. Part of the reason is because of their outdoor culture and health conscious community. http://www.newsy.com/videos/the_obesity_epidemic It stems beyond educating people about unhealthy foods and goes to regulating the pesticides, hormones and chemicals allowed in food by the government.
