"Many young people think that speech is not speech at all if it inflicts emotional pain.
They say emotional pain is like physical pain and since violence is highly restricted, speech should be as well."

"As a university professor, I can assure you that a huge number of professors ARE brainwashing their students, and at least in practice, DO try to drastically limit free speech that counters the intersectional narrative.
Not everyone, obviously, but humanities and most social science professors believe their role as activist influencers is even more important than their role as experts in their academic fields. Literature, History, Sociology, etc. syllabi are shaped and reshaped to develop intersectional perspectives.
It’s nauseating and demoralizing.
And this is at a mid-sized state university."
