I've been trying to find a way to explain what I have been feeling since I first heard the term "culture war".
For a very long time, I've felt that a mere spat over culture didn't really get at the root of the vitriol, hatred and now, the violence.
AOSHQ has this compilation of tweets from conservative lawyer Ron Coleman that takes me where I was trying to go.
It isn't that we have been fighting a culture war, we have been fighting a war of morality, one in which the radical left has created their own moral code that is separate and apart from our traditional moral code.
This is what allows them to abandon logic and reason, to fabricate an alternate reality out of lies and to destroy without conscience or remorse.
