Renewable energy is cripplingly expensive, hopelessly unreliable, massacres wildlife, destroys landscapes, destabilises the grid and causes climate change according to a Review published in the scientific journal Energies by a team of Irish and U.S.-based researchers.

The large scale transition to renewables in California has caused wide spread power outages and failed to provide enough power for the state at peak demand, and needed backup from other sources.
