It's somewhat amusing. You have a group of people claiming everything is racism, yet when a black guy disagrees with them, they stampede right to the racism. Also, right to the sexism and homophobia when applicable. No one knows this more, unfortunately, than Senator Tim Scott.

"Patricia and Mark McCloskey are the couple made instantly famous—or infamous—after a video showed them wielding firearms as they fended off protesters who had trespassed on private property outside their St. Louis home.

The (democrat) Circuit Attorney for St. Louis, Kimberly Gardner, reacted by issuing a statement saying she planned an investigation, and that her office will not tolerate any effort to chill peaceful protest by the “threat of deadly force.” Never mind that Mr. McCloskey says he and his wife feared they’d be killed. As they told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, “the only thing that kept those mobsters, that crowd, away from us is that we were standing there with guns.”

If soaring gun sales are a guide, millions of Americans are with the McCloskeys. This week the FBI announced a record 3.9 million background checks for June, the highest monthly total since the FBI began keeping the statistic in 1998...

Just hours before President Trump was scheduled to speak at Mount Rushmore, a CNN reporter disparaged the beloved national monument.
Reporter Leyla Santiago called Mount Rushmore a “monument of two slave owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans.”

• But when President Barack Obama visited South Dakota, CNN called Mount Rushmore, “majestic.”
• And during the Democratic presidential primary in 2008 CNN correspondent Jim Acosta noted that then-candidate Obama’s visit is a “fitting campaign stop for a presidential contender.”
• In 2016, CNN’s Jeff Zeleny called Mount Rushmore a “monument to four great American Presidents.”
• “This is our country at its very best. What a wonderful achievement,” Sen. Bernie Sanders told CNN. “Just the accomplishment and the beauty it does really make one very proud to be an American.”

I don’t recall CNN or any other Mainstream Media news outlet condemning presidents for visiting the monument. 

Not a one.

Just President Trump.
