Democrats Say They’re Losing Races Because They’re Having an Identity Crisis | TheBlaze.com

Democrats Say They’re Losing Races Because They’re Having an Identity Crisis | TheBlaze.com:

"The final recommendation focuses on voting rights. It supports a constitutional amendment to enshrine the right to vote and attempts in Congress to restore portions of the Voting Rights Act. The Supreme Court in 2013 removed from federal law an effective tool for fighting voting discrimination under the act and Democrats have tried to restore those protections.

The initial findings were based on hundreds of meetings with party leaders and members of Congress and included a survey completed by 10,000 Democratic activists, Wasserman Schultz said. A final report will come out in May.

Same-sex benefits: Grand Rapids Community College considers adding coverage | MLive.com
"GRAND RAPIDS, MI - When John Cowles first came to Grand Rapids Community College in 1999, he was glad to learn there was an equal employment policy in place aimed at ensuring students and employees were treated equally, regardless of sexual orientation.
Cowles, who is gay, wanted to work in a welcoming environment, one where he didn’t have to fear reprisal for expressing his sexuality.
Now, 16 years later, he’s hopeful the college will take another step toward becoming a more inclusive place for the LGBT community by adopting domestic partner benefits for same sex couples.
“Saying that we’re going to treat gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender employees just like we’re going to treat all employees, that says something and that means a lot,” said Cowles, GRCC’s Dean of Student Success and Retention.
Cowles may get his wish.
GRCC President Steven Ender said administrators began exploring offering domestic partner benefits this fall..."

Top Ten Jobs for Jihadists

Top Ten Jobs for Jihadists | The American Spectator:Psaki Harf 2
#9 Early Childhood Education and Development
No time is too soon for children to be taken from their parents and turned over to educators trained by the state. Those who have been trained in this way (including many jihadists) can train others.
#10 Sustainability / Reducing our Carbon Footprint
The jihadists want to turn the clock back more than 1,200 years — teaching us all to live like goat herders. What’s not to like about that? We have everything to learn from them about reducing our carbon footprint.

Why Fahrenheit is Better than Celsius

Why Fahrenheit is Better than Celsius • see things differently:
"In Fahrenheit I get the basic idea with the first digit.

"It’s in the thirties" = multiple layers and coat.

"It’s in the nineties" = T shirt weather.

In the 70’s and 80’s I want a second sig-fig but I don’t even need 10 elements of precision.
Just “upper 70’s” is enough.
The first ℉ digit gives you ballpark, and the second ℉ digit gives you even more precision than you need."

Obama Administration Slow to Cite Islamic Extremism, but Isn’t Afraid to Point Out Domestic Right-Wing Terror Threats | TheBlaze.com

Obama Administration Slow to Cite Islamic Extremism, but Isn’t Afraid to Point Out Domestic Right-Wing Terror Threats | TheBlaze.com:

"The existence of the report was revealed just as the Obama administration has faced criticism that it’s going out of its way to cite radical Islamic extremists as a significant source of terrorism around the world. The White House and federal agencies have argued there is nothing Islamic at all about these terror groups, and that the U.S. should instead treat it as a perversion of that religion.

The administration held a summit this week on how to counter extremist violence, and insisted there “no profile” on the type of person who might turn to violence, in the face of numerous questions about whether the risks are high among Muslim populations. Instead, officials have said terror risks can come from anywhere at all."

“Are you here to rob me?” Monk recalled Radcliff asking as he pointed at the man."

Historian David Barton Takes Apart Obama’s Claim That ‘Islam Has Been Woven Into the Fabric of Our Country Since Its Founding’ | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"After President Barack Obama said this week that “Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding,” Glenn Beck asked historian David Barton to come on his radio program and share some examples of what the president meant.

“In all the reading I’ve done, thousands of books, there’s nothing there,” Barton said on Friday. “I mean, we know that Muslims were the folks who captured the slaves sent to America, largely out of Africa. … The Muslims did the slave hunting and the slave trading, et cetera. The first Muslims came to America as a result of the Muslims capturing them and sending them to the Dutch traders.”

Report: Obama Spent $770 Million in Taxpayer Funds to Rebuild and Renovate Mosques Overseas | Top Right News:
"A CBS news investigation found that the Obama State Department is sending millions of dollars to save mosques overseas — outraging taxpayer advocates and raising enormous questions about aid to potentially  terror-supporting groups with U.S. foreign aid.
With constant battles over cutting spending in the budget — including slashing pensions for military veterans, the United States ‘investment’ of millions to refurbish mosques as a ‘good-will effort’ in Muslim countries has upset many."

What Josh Earnest Cited as Proof That Obama Does Actually Love America | TheBlaze.com

What Josh Earnest Cited as Proof That Obama Does Actually Love America | TheBlaze.com:

"Earnest referred to the closing line of Obama’s State of the Union as proof of the president’s love of country.

“There are a number of ways the president has said exactly that,” Earnest said. “The most high-profile example I can think of was actually the last line of this year’s State of the Union, in which the president said God bless this country.”

It's sad when this is the best example.
Actions speak louder than words and Obama's actions speak volumes!

I agree, he hates America.

Who's Watching Out for Our Rights? Legacy vs. Online Coverage of the IRS Scandal

Who's Watching Out for Our Rights? Legacy vs. Online Coverage of the IRS Scandal - Franklin Center Franklin Center:
Let’s open with a quick quiz:
What news organizations first come to mind as the protectors of fundamental freedoms — 1st and 4th Amendment rights like speech, assembly, religion, privacy — against brazen government overreach and abuse of the little guy?
Did you answer The New York TimesThe Washington Post, or maybe even an established TV news station?
If so, you’ll have problems with this next question: What 2013 scandal was one of the most egregious cases of governmental trampling of 1st Amendment-protected rights in recent years?
If you only rely on legacy news for your news, you’re not likely to know the answer: The IRS’ obstruction of hundreds of Tea Party applications for nonprofit status — an abuse that first came to light in May 2013 when the then-director of the IRS office in charge of these applications publicly apologized for the practice.
But you aren’t really at fault, not if you’re a legacy news-only reader.
When it came to reporting one of the most horrendous cases of government overreach and abuse in recent years, legacy news organizations looked the other way. Worse, they bought into the government’s excuses for such harassment – hook, line, and sinker.

An Egregious Case of Government Bullying

What States are the Freest? This Map Shows Americans Where to Go If They Crave Liberty - AMAC, Inc. AMAC, Inc.:
"The John Locke Foundation just published its First In Freedom Index, a report that compares and ranks the relative freedom of all fifty states.
The North Carolina-based think tank says it has an institutional commitment to “individual liberty and limited, constitutional government,” weighed four different variables to compile the rankings.
The most significant consideration was fiscal policy, which measures taxes and budgetary measures. This aspect generated 50 percent of each state’s score, with 20 percent given each to education and regulatory policies, and the final 10 percent to health care policy.

The future is here-----Burj Khalifa

Burj Khalifa.jpgBurj Khalifa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
Labor controversy[edit]
Burj Khalifa was built primarily by workers from South Asia and East Asia.[132][133] This is generally because the current generation of UAE locals prefer government jobs and consider private sector jobs to be below them. Also, because of the benefits available from the UAE government, most locals would rather rely on these benefits and not go to work.[134] On 17 June 2008, there were 7,500 skilled workers employed at the construction site.[34] Press reports indicated in 2006 that skilled carpenters at the site earned £4.34 a day, and labourers earned £2.84.[132] According to a BBC investigation and a Human Rights Watch report, the workers were housed in abysmal conditions, and worked long hours for low pay.[135][136][137] During the construction of Burj Khalifa, only one construction-related death was reported.[138] However, workplace injuries and fatalities in the UAE are "poorly documented".[135]
On 21 March 2006, about 2,500 workers, who were upset over buses that were delayed for the end of their shifts, protested, damaged cars, offices, computers, and construction equipment.[132] A Dubai Interior Ministry official said the rioters caused almost £500,000 in damage.[132] Most of the workers involved in the riot returned the following day but refused to work.[132]

Short on machine guns, German army armed turrets with broomsticks

Short on machine guns, German army armed turrets with broomsticks | Ars Technica:
"Late last year, as the German Bundeswehr was considering rebooting its expensive, failed Euro Hawk drone program, the army of the country with the fourth largest economy in the world fielded its newest armored vehicles in a major military exercise in Norway with broomsticks painted black and lashed in place of missing machine gun barrels.
That detail was part of a German Defense Ministry report leaked to Germany's public television network ARD that exposed widespread shortages of basic combat equipment.
According to the report, the Bundeswehr units deployed as part of a test of NATO's Rapid Response Force in September were far from combat-ready: they deployed with less than a quarter of the night vision gear required.
The units were also missing 41 percent of the P8 pistols and 31 percent of the MG3 man-portable machine guns they were supposed to deploy with.
And none of the GTK Boxer armored vehicles that deployed were equipped with their primary armament—the 12.7 mm M3M heavy machine gun."

Tesla: Bonfire Of The Money Printers’ Vanities

Tesla: Bonfire Of The Money Printers’ Vanities | David Stockman's Contra Corner
The Wall Street casino is now festooned with giant deadweight losses waiting to happen. But perhaps none is more egregious than Tesla—–a crony capitalist con job that has long been insolvent, and has survived only by dint of prodigious taxpayer subsidies and billions of free money from the Fed’s Wall Street casino.
Not surprisingly, the speculative mania on Wall Street has reached such absurd lengths that Telsa is being heralded and valued as the second coming of Apple and its circus barker CEO, Elon Musk, as the next Henry Ford. Indeed, so raptured were the day traders and gamblers that in the short span of 33 months between early 2012 and September 2014 they ramped up Tesla’s market cap from $2.5 billion to a peak of $35 billion.
That’s a 14X gain in virtually no time—-and its not due to the invention of a revolutionary new product like the i-Pad. Instead, we’re talking about 4,600 pounds of sheet metal, plastic, rubber and glass equipped with an electric battery power pack that has been around for decades, and which is not remotely economic without deep government subsidies.
Beyond that, the various Tesla models currently on the market carry price tags of $75k to more than $100k. So they are essentially vanity toys for the wealthy—–a form of conspicuous consumption for the “all things green” crowd.
