If true, we're doing everything WRONG now-----Setting The Record Straight: Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth

Setting The Record Straight: Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth:
Solar Activity Controls Global Climate, Man Made Climate Change Is A Myth
Recent studies have shown results linking shifts in sunspot
frequency and climate changes over thousands of years suggest that the past 18-year-long period of flat global temperatures appear to be a prelude to a much longer cooling cycle.

While causes behind these magnetic inconsistencies are uncertain, observable connections between solar and Earth climate patterns are clear.
Reduced periods of sunspot activity correlate with cooler and very cold periods, with higher incidences producing opposite effects.

If a leading theory regarding why this occurs is correct, a weaker magnetic heliosphere surrounding our Solar System evidenced by low sunspot activity permits more cosmic rays from deep space to enter Earth’s protective magnetosphere and atmosphere...

Since none of this has anything to do with human-caused atmospheric CO2 emissions, you can bet that the UN and its Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are very cool on the theory and its chilling political science implications...

Guns save lives---Passerby With Concealed Carry Permit Stops Slaughter In Philly

Bearing Arms-Passerby With Concealed Carry Permit Stops Slaughter In Philly - Bearing Arms:
...Such was the case in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania yesterday, when a man with a concealed carry permit heard gun shots as he passed by a barbershop, ran in, and stopped a massacre in the making by shooting a man who had opened fire on employees and customers:
Police say a man likely saved the lives of several people when he shot and killed a gunman inside a West Philadelphia barbershop.
A 40-year-old man was inside Falah Barber Shop Inc. on the 600 block of Preston Street shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday when police say he began fighting with another person inside.
“They were arguing,” said 16-year-old Yusaf Mack who was a customer inside the shop at the time. “They were taking it too far and one of the barbers said, ‘chill out.'”
The fight quickly escalated and the 40-year-old man took out his gun and opened fire on customers and barbers, police said.
“I heard gunshots so I ducked and I ran,” said Mack.
As he was shooting, another man outside heard the gunfire, ran into the shop and took out his own gun, according to investigators. He then opened fire, striking the 40-year-old man once in the chest.
The man who had started shooting at customers and staff in the barbershop was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Liberal racism-----NPR’S TED CRUZ RACISM: “First time I ever heard NPR use the term ‘White Hispanic’ ...

POPEHAT ON NPR’S TED CRUZ RACISM: “First time I ever heard NPR use the term ‘White Hispanic’ was Ge…:
"The “White Hispanic” thing is a case of dog-whistle othering, telling people that the target is outside the protection of the Democrats’ racial coalition and thus can be freely attacked.

By engaging in such signalling, NPR is also signalling that it’s a full-blown part of the Democratic Party apparat, though that’s not really news. . . ."

Update: "NO. NEXT QUESTION? Would the Media Allow ‘Cruz Crushing’ if He Were a Hispanic Democrat?
The whole point of the “White Hispanic” designation, and the Canada-talk, is to make clear to the appropriate Dem constituencies that they can say whatever they want about him without fear of being called racist. It’s a species of excommunication."

FEMA To Deny Funding To States Without Global Warming Plans

FEMA To Deny Funding To States Without Global Warming Plans | The Daily Caller:
"Next year, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will start denying disaster funding to states that don’t incorporate global warming into their emergency preparedness plans.
Governors looking for disaster preparedness funding will have to start reporting on how man-made global warming will impact their states such as “more intense storms, frequent heavy precipitation, heat waves, drought, extreme flooding, and higher sea levels,” according to FEMA.
...the guidelines essentially force some state governments to acknowledge the alleged risks of man-made warming...

Oubama's government at war with its citizens-----Secret Service chief refusing to allow witnesses to testify, congressmen say

Secret Service chief refusing to allow witnesses to testify, congressmen say | WashingtonExaminer.com:
"Key lawmakers fired off an angry letter to Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy Sunday, pressing him to allow four witnesses in an ongoing investigation of a March 4 incident at the White House to testify before Congress.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, and ranking member Elijah Cummings, D-Md., said they were "very disappointed" to receive a letter from Clancy informing them that he would be the sole witnesses at a Tuesday hearing.
The committee had sought testimony from four other individuals who witnessed the sequence of events that took place earlier this month, in which two senior agents allegedly drove into an active crime scene investigation of a suspicious package and were accused of drinking and driving their government-owned vehicles.
"We invited additional witnesses to answer fundamental questions about the incident and the agency's response that you have been unable to answer during two congressional hearings and one closed-door briefing for a bipartisan group of members and their staff," they wrote."

15 Computer Sounds That Will Take You Back to the '90s

15 Computer Sounds That Will Take You Back to the '90s | Mental Floss:
Those of us who were really hip in the '90s got online, usually via a dialup modem (or your college's awesome network...if you could afford a network card).
There were distinct sounds associated with computers of that time that we don't think about today, but they're lodged deep in our memories.
Let's go back to some computer sounds you probably haven't heard in decades....

1. 56K MODEM CONNECTING

Modem connection sounds varied based on speed, modem brand, the quality of the connection, and so on. But today, the 56k modem (the pinnacle of modem technology in the '90s) is the best-remembered "modem screech." My friend's mom called this sound "wirescream," which sounds accurate to me. So here's a 56k modem dialing and connecting (illustrated with a little guy acting as the modem):

“In countries that stone people to death for adultery and imprison people for adultery, this is the kind of thing you would think someone for women’s rights would be standing up against, instead of accepting thinly veiled bribes,” Paul told Politico.

Eyebrows were raised when the Wall Street Journal reported in mid-February that the Clinton Foundation had abandoned a self-imposed ban and begun collecting donations from foreign governments. Previously, the organization had stopped raising money in 2009 after Clinton was appointed as secretary of state."

School cancels ‘American Pride’ themed prom after it’s deemed not ‘inclusive’ - EAGnews.org
LEXINGTON, Mass. – Lexington, Massachusetts may have played host to one of the first battles of the American revolution, but 240 years later, “American pride” is considered offensive to the school system.
Students on the dance committee at Lexington High School voted for “American Pride” to be the theme of this year’s prom, which was scheduled to be held April 10.
But administrators overruled that decision, saying it “excludes” other nationalities and canceled the dance.
...“Given the diverse demography of our community it was suggested by the advisers that the students come maybe national pride theme so they could represent their individual nationalities,” Assistant Superintendent Carol Pilarski says.
She added the “American Pride” theme would not be “inclusive.”.

Study says energy-efficient light bulbs may emit harmful radiation

Study says energy-efficient light bulbs may emit harmful radiation | Human Events:
"As reported by the Washington Examiner, a study from Stony Brook University “has proven that CFLs do emit ultraviolet (UV) light rays that can harm human skin cells.
CFLs are compact fluorescent light bulbs – the expensive spiral light bulbs we have been forced to begin using, after incandescent light bulbs were regulated out of existence.
We already knew CFLs were dangerous if you drop them and break them.
They contain mercury, so a complex hazardous-materials procedure is recommended by the EPA when they break.  You don’t just sweep the broken glass up with a broom.
The first three steps of the EPA procedure involve clearing people and pets out of the room where the CFL bulb was broken, airing it out for 5-10 minutes, and shutting down your central heating or air conditioning system to prevent poisonous mercury vapors from contaminating the house.
Vacuum-cleaning the area where the bulb shattered would be a dangerous mistake, because it could spread mercury vapors.
Oh, and plastic bags don’t fully contain those vapors, so be sure to get the bagged broken glass out of your house ASAP!
The rest of the instructions run for a total of three pages.
But now it turns out these bulbs can be dangerous even when they don’t break..."
