It Wasn't Supposed to Work This Way

It Wasn't Supposed to Work This Way | The Weekly Standard:
"Local authorities in Pueblo, just 40 miles south of Colorado Springs, were recently alerted by a vigilant resident to a possible illegal marijuana grow operation.
Within days, on March 31, sheriff’s deputies from the Special Investigations Narcotics Section raided a single-family home that was in the process of being converted into a "grow house."
Authorities discovered 127 marijuana plants, over $100,000 in growing equipment, and two Cuban nationals.
At first, no one seemed to take particular note of the individuals, Adriel Trujillo Daniel, 28, and Leosbel Ledesma Quintana, 41, who had recently moved to Colorado from Florida.
They were arrested on felony drug charges but local authorities initially believed it was an isolated event.
But in the span of the next week and a half, local authorities would arrest at least four more individuals in the Pueblo area in similar cases, with similar backgrounds.
All were recent transplants to the state.
All were reported by neighbors or by other Pueblo residents who had witnessed suspicious activity. All were transforming residential homes into elaborate marijuana grow operations.
 And all were Cuban nationals.
...It is what Colorado Springs mayor John Suthers calls "the total nightmare" scenario, a byproduct of the state's recent legalization of first medicinal, and later recreational, marijuana.
People from out of town or even foreign countries move to Colorado and "buy or lease houses by the hundreds if not thousands," explains Suthers, who previously served 10 years as attorney general of the state..."

Former Chief Psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Has Bad News for Caitlyn Jenner

Former Chief Psychiatrist at Johns Hopkins Has Bad News for Caitlyn Jenner:

"Dr. Paul R. McHugh, former psychiatrist in chief for Johns Hopkins Hospital, has an opinion about former Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner’s recent announcement that is sure to upset the many crusading for the transgender movement.

McHugh not only believes that changing sexes is biologically impossible, he also believes those identifying themselves as transgender actually have a mental disorder.

McHugh, author of six books and over 125 peer-reviewed medical journal articles, wrote in a Wall Street Journal piece that surgery is not a solution for those wishing to live as the opposite sex."

Same as most other democrat dominated counties and cities-----Contaminated Water Dominates Flint Headlines, But Pension Earthquake Looms

Contaminated Water Dominates Flint Headlines, But Pension Earthquake Looms [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"Contaminated drinking water has dominated daily headlines in Flint, but a looming crisis of a different kind casts a pall over the city’s financial future: A $285 million unfunded pension liability is consuming ever more of the city’s budget.
In 2015, Flint paid $20.4 million to cover retirement system costs.
To put the burden of pension obligations into perspective, that amount is 42 percent of the city's general fund budget.
...As of December 2014, Flint has funded 48 cents of every dollar in pension benefits it has promised to its employees in the MERS defined-benefit plan.
As of last June, its unfunded pension liabilities totaled $285 million.
Many Michigan municipalities have dug even deeper holes.
For example, the city of Benton Harbor has funded just 43 cents for every dollar in pension benefits it has promised its employees in the MERS plan..."

State Dept. faces questions over missing tape, amid scramble over WH aide's Iran boast | Fox News

State Dept. faces questions over missing tape, amid scramble over WH aide's Iran boast | Fox News:

"While the White House scrambles to contain the damage caused by one of President Obama's closest aides -- who boasted of manipulating social media, journalists and friendly interest groups to sell the Iran nuclear deal -- it now is facing new questions about a portion of missing tape in which a State Department official acknowledges misleading the press on the Iran negotiations.

Deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes' comments to The New York Times Magazine have sparked outrage in Washington's political and policy circles, especially re-igniting the debate over whether the White House oversold the deal to curb Iran's nuclear program."

Socialism-----Raw Venezuela: Looter Burned Alive, While "Streets Filled With People Killing Animals For Food"

Raw Venezuela: Looter Burned Alive, While "Streets Filled With People Killing Animals For Food" | Zero Hedge:
"These are hungry Venezuelans protesting that their children are dying from lack of food and medicine and that they do not have enough water or electricity.
As AgainstCronyCapitalism reports, this is a country with more oil than Saudi Arabia, and the government has stolen all th emoney and now they bottleneck peaceful protesters and threaten them with bombs (or haul them to prison and torture them).

...Now, hunger and scarcity have apparently reached a tipping point that is driving people to poach stray animals and even pets for food.
According to the PanAm Post:
Ramón Muchacho, Mayor of Chacao in Caracas, said the streets of the capital of Venezuela are filled with people killing animals for food.
...The crisis in Venezuela is worsening everyday due in part to shortages reaching 70 percent […] six Venezuelan military officials were arrested for stealing goats to ease their hunger, as there was no food at the Fort Manaure military base.
As pure desperation sets in, crime also becomes inevitable.
A man accused of mugging people in the streets of Caracas was surrounded by a mob of onlookers, beaten and set on fire, according to the Daily Mail, who published a pixeled-out but still graphic video of the man burning:
An alleged thief suffered the most brutal mob justice in Caracas, Venezuela, when he was beaten up and burned alive in the street..."

Obama-----Schools must allow transgender bathrooms, Department of Education says

Schools must allow transgender bathrooms, Department of Education says:
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Education will tell school districts Friday that federal law requires them to allow students to use restrooms and locker rooms "consistent with their gender identity," escalating the pressure from the Obama administration on the contentious public debate over transgender rights.
..."When a school provides sex-segregated activities and facilities, transgender students must be allowed to participate in such activities and access such facilities consistent with their gender identity," reads the letter...
...But the guidance letter also consolidates Department of Education guidance that has wide-ranging implications for transgender students in other facets of academic life.
Under the Obama administration's interpretation of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, schools are prohibited from publicly disclosing (to the parents!) a transgender student's birth name or biological sex, and are required to change the gender on school records and directories when asked.
...The guidance doesn't have the force of law, but tells schools how the Department of Education intends to enforce Title IX in the future.
And because Title IX is directly tied to federal education funding, the guidance carries an implied threat: Follow the federal guidelines or risk losing those funds.

Wyoming Rancher Sticks It To The Feds...Wins Big Time Against Obama And The EPA

Wyoming Rancher Sticks It To The Feds...Wins Big Time Against Obama And The EPA:

"This is one for the good guys.

It might have lacked the drama of the Bundy ranch standoff in Nevada two years ago, and the bloodshed of a related militia occupation in Oregon last year, but a court settlement this week was a smashing victory for a Wyoming man fighting an ever more intrusive federal government.

And while the settlement won’t create a legal precedent, it’s a property rights victory for Americans throughout the country — a victory won by a young rancher and the Constitution-protecting legal team that stood with him."

Clintons' Persian Gulf Sheikhs Gave Them $100 Million

Clintons' Persian Gulf Sheikhs Gave Them $100 Million | The Daily Caller:
"A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation reveals that Bill and Hillary Clinton received at least $100 million from autocratic Persian Gulf states and their leaders, potentially undermining Democratic presidential candidate Hillary’s claim she can carry out independent Middle East policies.
As a presidential candidate, the amount of foreign cash the Clintons have amassed from the Persian Gulf states is “simply unprecedented,” says national security analyst Patrick Poole.
“These regimes are buying access.
You’ve got the Saudis.
You’ve got the Kuwaitis, Oman, Qatar and the UAE.
There are massive conflicts of interest.
It’s beyond comprehension,” Poole told TheDCNF in an interview.
Overall, the Clinton Foundation has received upwards of $85 million in donations from five Persian Gulf states and their monarchs, according to the foundation’s website.
Clinton ended his partnership with the investment firm five years later, but not before pocketing at least $15 million in “guaranteed payments” from the company, according to his personal tax returns from 2003 to 2008.
The former president allegedly received another $20 million of “walking away money” to leave the partnership, according to The Daily Beast..."

This insanity isn't only in Michigan!-----Chicago To Punish Kids For Wrong Pronouns

Chicago To Punish Kids For Wrong Pronouns | The Daily Caller:
"Under a new set of guidelines rolled out last week by Chicago public schools, children will now be required to address transgender students and employees by their preferred name and pronouns — or face the consequences.
Transgender students and employees can choose their preferred bathroom, locker room, name and pronouns, and everyone else is required to affirm the individual’s new identity, according to the guidelines.
Trangender students and adults in the CPS system can require their peers to adopt gender neutral terminology, such as using the pronoun “ze” instead of the usual “he” or “she.”
...According to the new guidelines:
the intentional or persistent refusal by students or school staff to respect a student’s gender identity (for example, intentionally referring to the student by a name or pronoun that does not correspond to the student’s gender identity) is a violation of these Guidelines, the Student Code of Conduct, and Comprehensive Non-Discrimination, Title IX and Sexual Harassment Policy.
CPS warns that “violations will result in appropriate consequences for offending staff and students.”
Under the guidelines, schools cannot require transgender individuals to obtain a court order or gender change before forcing the new vocabulary upon students.
...CPS employees are seemingly prohibited from telling parents that their child switched genders at school.
According to the guidelines for transgender students:
[W]hen speaking with other staff members, parents, guardians, or third parties, school staff should not disclose a student’s preferred name, pronoun, or other confidential information pertaining to the student’s transgender or gender nonconforming status without the student’s permission, unless authorized to do so by the Law Department..."

Individual Cowardice Is Killing American Culture

Individual Cowardice Is Killing American Culture | National Review:
"...This is how culture wars are lost: through the slow accumulation of individually defensible but collectively unjustifiable decisions not to resist.
It’s the decision that objecting during diversity training simply isn’t worth the hassle.
It’s the decision not to say anything when you see a colleague or fellow student facing persecution because of their beliefs.
It’s a life habit of always taking the path of least resistance, keeping your head down, and doing your best to preserve your own family and career.
The small fights don’t matter anyway, right...?"

"Banned in Hollywood": This Film Dares to Show Martial Law and Civil War Coming to America

"Banned in Hollywood": This Film Dares to Show Martial Law and Civil War Coming to America
Every summer, Hollywood seems to release another batch of disaster and hero films full of action and end of the world scenarios.
But this film hits much closer to home.
It’s the scenario that could happen here, but Hollywood won’t dare to get behind. Nevertheless, it is coming to (select) theaters.
Director Mike Norris, son of Chuck Norris, is bringing a drama to screen ripped from the headlines of America’s real-life looming catastrophes.
In AmeriGEDDON, an EMP attack brings down the grid and initiates the collapse scenario that preppers are all too familiar with: civil unrest and chaos as a result of the loss of food and services, followed by a heavy-handed attempt to impose martial law and confiscate the firearms of American patriots.
What follows is basically the beginning of the next civil war against the agents of world government and global control.
Here’s the preview:
Plot synopsis and details from the filmmakers:
AMERIGEDDON, coming to theaters nationwide May 13, 2016, has been described as “the movie the establishment doesn’t want you to see.”
...A collaboration between Norris and entrepreneur and writer Gary Heavin, AMERIGEDDON seizes on fact-based threats and asks the ultimate question, “What happens when government turns on the people it’s supposed to protect?”

Executive Producer Gary Heavin believes the film’s message warning is timely. “We made a movie that is fun to watch but it is based in reality. In AMERIGEDDON, survivors of an EMP attack on the United States must live in a state of martial law led by the United Nations. American soldiers must decide whom they serve, second amendment rights are curtailed and food, water and survival become our primary concerns—unfortunately, these are all likely scenarios resulting from a very real threat,” said Heavin.  “I believe if we can entertain while we inform, more people will wake up; and if we hope to restore our freedom we must share the truth with as many people as possible.”
Co-written by Norris and Heavin, the film features Marshall Teague (THE ROCK), Annalynn McCord (“Dallas”, “90210”), Dina Meyer (“Starship Troopers”), Spencer Neville (“Days of Our Lives”), Mike Norris (“Walker, Texas Ranger”), Diane Ladd (JOY) and India Eisley (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”).
