"What justice is there in taking stable, loving homes away from children? If the city cuts off Catholic Social Services from foster care, foster moms like me won't have the help and support they need to care for special-needs kids," said Fulton. "I have relied on Catholic Social Services for support for years, and the city is taking away this help and causing harm and heartache to countless families like mine."

The Day After Labor :: SteynOnline
" Labor itself, in the sense Mr McGuire used the term, is morally dubious among our elites, and, down at the other end, simply unknown.
A statistic from my book After America, personally autographed copies of which are exclusively available from the SteynOnline bookstore and which help support my campaign against Nobel fraud Michael Mann's rude nature, into which I hope to be carving a hearty "up yours"...

Whoops, sorry.
Where was I?
Ah, yes.
A quote from After America:
Where was I?
Ah, yes.
A quote from After America:
One fifth of British children are raised in homes in which no adult works. Just under 900,000 people have been off sick for over a decade, claiming 'sick benefits', week in, week out for ten years and counting.
By 2012, one tenth of the adult population had done not a day's work since Tony Blair took office on May 1st 1997 - a decade and a half earlier.

"...Our friends on the left, alas, aren't so carefree and fun-loving.
We've discussed the permanently aggrieved nature of the modern progressives before.
...especially with their ability to concoct outrage and/or resentment in almost any given situation.
Take, for example, the young women's rights writer for The Guardian, who finds the Starbucks policy of asking for people's names a trigger for resentment.
Never mind that she doesn't even go to Starbucks, which she readily admits at the top of the article.
One doesn't need something as mundane as firsthand experience to take offense to things that aren't really offensive in the first place:
I do not drink the coffee in Starbucks because it doesn’t taste good. But even if I did, I wouldn’t, for another reason: my name. Because if you’re a half-Turkish, half-Iranian second-generation immigrant like I am, it means you have a name that few can pronounce... I’d rather not have to go through the rigmarole of painstakingly spelling it out to a barista..."Read all.
New York is running out of fuel, power — just as Cuomo planned
"Gov. Andrew Cuomo doubled down last week on his blame-the-messenger approach to New York’s growing shortage of natural-gas supplies by ordering the Department of Public Service to “broaden its investigation” of National Grid and threatening to “find another franchisee.”
Anything, rather than admit that his own policies are at fault.
The utility has stopped taking new gas customers in parts of Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens where it can’t handle the new demand — because Team Cuomo vetoed the proposed Williams pipeline to bring in supplies from New Jersey.
(Jersey is also blocking the pipeline, since Gov. Phil Murphy is appeasing the same green extremists.)
National Grid gave months of warning that it would need to impose the moratorium if fresh supplies weren’t ensured.
Con Ed did the same in advance of its recent new-biz moratorium in most of Westchester, which was also prompted in good part by the nixing of new pipelines.
This is the point of the years long green war on pipelines: You can’t burn gas or oil you can’t get..."

Vegan and Plant-Based Diets Worsen Brain Health - Neuroscience News
- Summary: Eating a vegan or plant-based diet can be bad for your brain health, especially if you already have a low choline intake, researchers report. --Source: BMJ
"...To make matters worse, the UK government has failed to recommend or monitor dietary levels of this nutrient — choline — found predominantly in animal foods, says Dr. Emma Derbyshire, of Nutritional Insight, a consultancy specializing in nutrition and biomedical science.

...The primary sources of dietary choline are found in beef, eggs, dairy products, fish, and chicken, with much lower levels found in nuts, beans, and cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli..."

The Misogyny of Climate Deniers | The New Republic
- Why do right-wing men hate Greta Thunberg and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez so much? Researchers have some troubling answers to that question.
"...the idea that white men would lead the attacks on Greta Thunberg is consistent with a growing body of research linking gender reactionaries to climate-denialism—some of the research coming from Thunberg’s own country.
Researchers at Sweden’s Chalmers University of Technology, which recently launched the world’s first academic research center to study climate denialism, have for years been examining a link between climate deniers and the anti-feminist far-right.In 2014, Jonas Anshelm and Martin Hultman of Chalmedominated by their form of masculinity.”...

This Is The Most Important Religious Liberty Decision Since Masterpiece Cakeshop | The Daily Caller:

A federal appeals court has revived a legal challenge to the Minnesota Human Rights Act (MHRA), ruling for the first time that religious business owners can invoke free speech rights when refusing to service a same-sex wedding.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sided with Carl and Angel Larsen, a Christian couple who operate a video production company called Telescope Media Group. The Larsens want to expand their business to include weddings, but state officials say the MHRA requires the Larsens to accommodate both same-sex and opposite sex partners.

Leftists Attack 'Dude Walls' With Portraits of Distinguished Men
Leftists Attack 'Dude Walls' With Portraits of Distinguished Men"If the left is so loving, tolerant and inclusive, why is it so driven by unquenchable bitterness?
...The insanity emanating from leftists today is overwhelming.
...Let me give you a typical example.
NPR reported that MSNBC's Rachel Maddow was at Rockefeller University a few years ago to present a prize to a prominent female scientist. Upon entering the auditorium, someone heard her say, "What is up with the dude wall?"
One side wall was covered with portraits of award-winning scientists from the university, and Maddow was distressed that they were all men.
Maddow was not alone.
"One hundred percent of them are men," said Leslie Vosshall, a neurobiologist with the university.
"It's probably 30 headshots of 30 men. So it's imposing."
Her word choice is instructive.
Vosshall explained that Maddow's comment made her realize that for years, she had been uneasy about seeing rooms and hallways at scientific institutions adorned with portraits of white men..."
