County to seek millage renewal for veterans - mlive.com: "Since it opened in August of 1990, the Muskegon County Department of Veterans Affairs has dramatically increased the variety of services it offers and the number of veterans it serves.
And the voters of Muskegon County have stuck with the department every step of the way, approving a property tax millage to help support its programs in 1994, then approving a 10-year extension of that millage in 1998.
Now it's time for the department to seek voter assistance again as it prepares for the challenge of serving a new generation of veterans coming home after serving in Iraq and Afghanistan."
